Description
The Black Lotus is a reasonable sized establishment, converted from to older buildings. The two entrances into the building being were the old properties own entrance were. Each small entrance area has a greeter behind a counter, as well as signage that warns those that enter about the fact of the owners aura and what it is like. Also explaining that the colour of the patterned carpet warn which part of the building they should remain in to prevent being exposed. The first half of the main floor is the area for customers who do not wish to be exposed to the owners aura if he is in the building. Flanked with a bar on either side, that also functions as a chip counter for customers. The second half of the main floor, is for those who do not care about the risks of being exposed to the owners aura. Even having the stakes of games that tend to take place being higher, while the bar/counter at the far war is under the mezzanine floor above. (This signage relating to Ethan aura, remains in place even though Aura's changed, and continues to be used to split the higher stake tables from the lower stake ones.)
The mezzanine floor above is designed as a VIP area, and is in fact a personal part of the club for Ethan to enjoy time. With a personal bar, and tables for high stake games with other VIPs who care little about being exposed to his aura because of the extra luxury. This floor has more expensive drinks, complimentary cigars and a chance to make a real big amount of money if anyone manages to beat Ethan. The bar has a 'special drinks' menu which is only offered under certain circumstances and only to those who agree to the adverse effects. A recent attempt for Ethan to continue using his own nature to encourage repeat visitors as much as possible with his nature, but in a manner seen as being with the bound of the law.
Employees and Employees Rules
The lengths of shift allowed to be taken, and the amount of hours in the week that member of staff are allowed to perform are purposely set to avoid the member of his staff falling under the effect of Ethan's aura. No member of staff is allowed to work in the VIP area for more then a certain length of time, and only a certain amount each week as well. Previously rules for working hours were stricter but were relaxed after changes in their employers aura made the restriction less required. However new rules relating to avoiding consumption of the bar newer 'special drinks' even out of working hours were introduced.
