Ilfirin had decided that day that she would gather material for her medical cabinet; she needed some of the plants, as she was running low on them. She had a small bag passed over her shoulder; she had a long white nurse dress over her usual darker oriental like clothes. She didn't seem to feel the cold when indeed she did, but what was the point in protecting yourself against it when it could do no damage to you.

Her comfortable boots, though they were not supposed to be hot enough for the temperature were not made for that type of locomotion in the snow, meaning she was knee deep in it, hopefully, once in the shade of the trees, it would be no problem. Walking towards the foreboding looking forest, she knew the students would certainly not go there, so she would be able to collect her plants in peace.

The sun was blazing through the few scattered clouds. The sky was blue, of a shade similar to the eyes of babies. Few would have thought that day to be in anyway depressing. She was a bit lost in thoughts, of a list of things she needed to gather. There were some tree barks, some plants that survive the winter into a stasis under the snow. Sure she would have to go into a green house to have what else she needed, but what she could find of the wild varieties she wanted to have.

The domesticated one always seemed less effective to her, but since it was winter, the black haired woman would have to content herself with those. Shaking her head to clear her mind of the unwanted thoughts, Ilfirin looked around as she entered the dark and gloomy forest. She had a small black tucked in its sheath under her belt, with a few pouches settled next to it as well.

She found an oak, and looked around to see if it was next to a pine tree, to her joy, it was. There were certain plants that a witch friend of hers had told her only lived between an oak and a pine. Taking a small, well miniature, shovel from one of her pouches, she dug in the snow, being mindful of not damaging the plants she was sure to find. Amazing sometimes the nature was, she had found a plant once that lived only in winter and on top of the snow at that.

She even had a potted plant of that one; she kept it in her freezer. It gave highly potent flowers when it came to healing, once dried, they could be used as a form of tea to heal most minor illnesses, like a cold or a minor diarrhea. It wasn't the one she was searching for at the moment though; she was searching for snow oak grass, the first plant that had gone missing. It was useful against minor burns and rashes.

She found it, a handful of pale green half a feet long grass. Digging around it, she pulled the whole plant out of the frozen soil, shaking the mud from its roots. Everything in it could be useful, from the roots to the bulbs to the grass itself. The nurse started to hum under her breath, enjoying the cold hair wiping her long hair back from her face.

Crouching in the snow some meters afar from where she found the first plant she was looking for, she dug into the snow, searching for a plant she knew would survive the winter, though she was disappointed in not finding it. Wiping her dirtied hand on a cloth hung on her belt, she cut some of the trees' bark as well as the needles of some evergreen trees. She placed all of it in her bag, setting them so none of it would be crushed.

Starting again, she looked around for what more could be useful, walking deeper and deeper into the forest. There was an apple tree some way off the track she was following and she saw it still had some apples on its branches. They were frozen, but she could use it into a pie or even to do cider. So, she climbed in the tree and started to pick the apples with her knife, putting them into her bag.

A male stepped out from the underbrush. He looked very serene, but he seemed to be looking for something. His name is Kody. She walked into te area that Ilfirin was. At first he didnt notice the girl standing there, but after a while he turned and saw her.

"Hello. What is a girl doing out HERE??" he said in his alluring, yet caring voice. He stood infront of her now. His wings were spread out wide, so as to show off their majestic capabilities, but they were not spread out as far as they could have been.

"Oh, Pardon my poor manners. I am Kody Winters..." he said as he extended his hand for her to shake it. He smiled his warm smile and then waited for her to respond..

The poor nurse was nearly startled out of the tree by the voice that sounded from the bushes. One of her foot slipped and she overbalanced to the side, sprawling across another branch. Groaning as the air was pushed forcefully from her lungs, she heard an ominous crack. She sighed as the branch gave way under her, leaving her to freefall for a second or two before crashing with a few sickening cracks in the snow.

Moaning in pain, the few bones she had managed to break snapped back into place, eliciting some more whimpering from the nurse. When all her limbs were into their correct places again, she stood from the ground, levelling a glare to Matt. She was not happy to have been startled out of her tree.

"Might I ask why you decided that startling me out of a tree was a good idea?" She asked fuming.

Crossing her arms across her chest, the petite woman winced lightly when the move created a small pop sound in one of her arms. She looked every ounce the fury she was, well, she did weigth around 160 ounces, so it make quite a bit of fury if you were to ask, which wasn't a bright idea to do at the moment. Looking him over, she snorted softly.

"And don't take that tone with me, I am not happy with you at the moment." She said.

She glared at him with her dark blue eyes, letting him know just how much she didn't appreciated having to repair three ribs, a leg and both her arms.

"Now I will be stuck with hurting arms for a while thanks to you." She told him.

Since she was a nurse, her arms were an important part of her body in her profession. It was reasonable that she was angry at him. It wasn't expected of her to have a warrior's awareness so she hadn't heard him come. Remembering her manners, she told him her name.

''My name is Ilfirin, but I do not suggest you using it for now, miss will do." She said.

Kody sounded a little hurt but he managed to reply, "Im quite sorry miss. You startled me as much as I startled you." He said as he tried to help her up."I didnt expect anyone here... I apologize"

Kody sat besides her with his hand outstreched to help her up. He didnt know what else to do, so he sat there and waited...

She was till fuming, the onlooker could have told you. The nurse huffed a bit but soon her glare softened some. But she was still angry.

''I guess I could forgive you.'' she told dismissively. ''And get up from that snow, you'll catch a cold and I won't enjoy having you in my hospital wing.''

Turning around, she grabbed the few apples that had fallen from her bag in her fall and eyed the tree with suspiscion.

''I should let you get those apples I missed.'' She told him. ''As retribution for my broken bones.''

(Sorry its so short)

"I am suprised you had to ask.." he said. He jumped up and propelled himself into the air with his wings. He was carrying his empty backpack. He stuffed a bunch of apples into his backpack then landed besides Ilririn.

"Here you are" he said as he handed her the backpack. "Do you maybe forgive me now??" he asked sincerely....

A small smile crept on her lips, so small it could have passed off as a smirk. It was gone rapidly from her face, but not fast enough not to be seen, a sure sign that she wasn't angry anymore.

''Okay, I forgive you, just don't startle me again please, my old heart wouldn't survive it.'' She said, the last part being somewhat as a joke but still could have been passed off as serious.

She took the offered bag and fished the apples out of it, placing them in her own bag. Of course, she was mindful of jerking her arms too much since they were still sensitive. The nurse looked up to the young man and raised an eyebrow.

''What are you doing in the forest anyway, isn't it school hours or something?''
