A girl attired in black stood overlooking the ocean waves, a lone tear dripped from her cheek to her black attire. Her hair had been cut to her shoulder blades in lengh she had straighten it today, her dark brown locks blew in the wind. She wiped the tear from her cheek quickly and turned walking along the beach. She never seemed to find someone who perfectly understood her. The life she spent was mainly alone, she never fit in well and was always one who stood out as the odd one. She stooped and picked up a smooth stone and chucked it in the ocean. It skipped leaving small ringlets where it skipped and then a thump as it went under the water. She focused on the water, she walked slowly in it till it covered her head. She stayed under for what seemed like minutes, she remembered the witch and came back up and waded in the water.

How easy it would've been for her to stay under a bit too long and die, she knew she had a duty to do. Darci wasn't going to defeat herself, she figured since her life was meaningless she may as well be the one to die in order to save others' lives. She would've done the same even if her life was wonderful and cheerful. She looked at the sky wishing it would rain so she wouldn't feel so out of place and so alone. Rain was the closest she got to a warm embrace.

Shell wondered the docks, looking far out into the dark waters. He would have jumped in if he could've, if he was like Delilah, but he wasn't. He wasn't eve close. He took a seat at the edge of the docks, letting his feet dangle over the edge and barely skim the surface. He knew that somewhere at the ocean's bottom, laid his mother while up above remained his father. He could've called her if he wanted, but he knew he shouldn't. Like his old man said, he had to be strong. He was the eldest, even if only by a few minutes.

The boy sighed and leaned back on his elbows, observing the area around him. He didn't know why he was alway attracted to the ocean if he could never step foot in it. As he scanned the beach shore she spotted someone else, rising from underneath the water. The girl stood there, wading in the water and Shell just stayed where he was, watching her. He wasn't one to just go up and introduce himself.

The girl sighed, she swam to the dock and pulled herself onto it. She looked out to sea, she wasn't much of a talker she had more of a fear of talking. She watched the waves and a small boat in the distance, she wondered what a normal life was like. She felt her wound tinge in pain, she hated how it never stopped hurting and bled whenever something make her think too long about the witch. She used to be a cheery girl, but that all changed from circumstances in her life. She was stronger than the cheery girl she used to be. She could take pain if it didn't hit just the right spot. Her weakness was herself, she knew her weaknesses and when she was depressed or upset her voice in her head would turn on her and insult her beyond her control with things she heard from other people.

She swang her feet from the side, the voice in her head was there. Calling her names, making fun of herself, saying cruel things about herself. She hated when this would happen, it was like fighting a enemy with the ability of moving inside your own body and fighting you in your mind. Her voice in her head often told her to commit sucide, but she couldn't do it whenever she thought about letting the witch live was just too much for her. She needed to kill the witch, she needed to with all her might and ability even if she died trying, she'd try.

Shell was still staring at the girl, only now he was doing it absentmindedly. It was like he couldn't focus on anything else, without returning his attention towards her. The girl had swam over towards the dock and was now sitting at the edge of it, just like him. Only she didn't notice he was there. He didn't mind; at least he wouldn't have to deal with the awkward first 'hellos'. Besides, it's not like he had to talk to her because they were near each other; he could ignore her.

The boy turned his attention to the crashing waves nearby, each time growing stronger and stronger, and then slowing down as it went farther up the shore. He'd almost forgotten the last time he'd stepped foot in the ocean without having to power down first. He was six years old, and the most likely the only reason he was able to enter the water was because she was holding on to him the entire time. But not anymore. He sighed and stared out into the darkness of the water, his mind going spacey. He began plucking at the stray needles of wood from the dock with nothing better to do.

She sighed, she was feeling really low. She didn't want to talk or act happy, she just wanted to sit or even cry. But tears wouldn't come, she sighed she looked down at the water beneath her feet. She was wearing all her clothes just soaked, she looked rather odd. She sighed again, she hated this feeling she got when she was emo. She sighed sick of being so down she rather be embarassed. She got to her feet, lookin at the people walking by she yelled at the top of her lungs. "I'M THE AMAZING EMO GIRL! YOU ARE NOW EMO PEOPLE! RAWR!" After that she jumped into the water again.

She hid from the other people's view, she kept out of their view and slowly emerged her head just so she could breath from the water. She doubted anyone gave a care if she did try to commit sucide. She sighed wading in the water. She decided it was better than sitting on the docks looking like a emo freak.

Shell sighed and almost started drifting off to Bobo-land out of sheer boredom. He could've easily gotten up and left to somewhere else, but he didn't feel like it. He felt as though he knew something was going to happen, eventually. And it did. The quiet girl who'd been sitting at the edge of the dock near him, completely drenched in sea water, stood up and shouted at the other people wandering the shores of the beach. He now knew her as the 'Amazing Emo Girl'...and also slightly insane.

After the girl had jumped back into the water, out of humiliation most likely, and slid himself over on the dock, laying on his stomach, looking down at the girl who was now wading in the water. "Is everything...okay?" His tone was slightly nervous as he spoke, but he was always like that when first talking to someone. he always got nervous when talking to strangers. But after what the girl did, he felt compelled to talk to her. If only he knew why.

"Is everything...okay?"

Surprised that the boy didn't scatter away from fear or laugh or make fun of her she stared at him for a minute before answering. She then answered with a kinda rude but blunt answer. "If I was okay, would I be here moping, shouting things that are stupid, and being emo? Most of all would I even be here alone in black, being emo if everything was okay?" She sighed, "Nothing is ever okay or even good."She continued to wade, "You must think I'm a nutcase or even be afraid of me." She said with a sigh.

She looked at the water, then submerged herself again so she wouldn't lose control over her emotions. She was just having a bad day, week, year, life. She tried to not get down but it was hard for her to not get depressed or emo. She remerged and looked at the boy. "You can run away now if you like."

Shell was almost taken back by the girl's response. He had apparently asked the wrong question to the wrong girl. He studied the girl for a moment or two, completely obvious how she was definitely not okay. "Believe me, it would take a lot more than a screaming nutcase - no offense - to scare me off." Shell stifled a laugh and cleared his throat in a small attempt to cover it up.

When the girl submerged once again, and the second she did, out of a strange instinct, he stuck his hand in the water to pull her out, but whipped it out the moment it had submerged, wincing at the sudden burning sensation overflowing his hand. "Why would I run away?"

"Believe me, it would take a lot more than a screaming nutcase - no offense - to scare me off."

She sighed, "I'm not the type of person everyone wants to hang around with, or be friends with." She said plainly with a sigh. She looked at him, "My life isn't exactly the happiest or ever been the happiest. I'm not the happy cheerful type of girl everyone wants to be with or hang with." She sighed again, "Besides the fact my own brain makes fun of me, and if that hasn't scared you off. Then I can always tell you things to make you run away." She said with a sigh.

"Why would I run away?"

"Because a witch cast a spell on me and she wants to kill me and I need to fight her and I don't want help even though she's more powerful than me and I know it." She said plainly, she was in a emo mood and didn't care what the boy thought of her. He could think she was a jerk and she wouldn't care. "Frankly I rather fight her and win and then die. But I need to kill her, so I need to train to win and die anyway. Not to mention the spell she cast on me." She said annoyed at the thought.

Shell exhaled deeply and said, "Well, I hate to break it to you...but I'm not like everyone." As he listened to the girl, Shell couldn't help but wonder why should wouldn't just say she wanted to be left alone if she wanted to instead of trying to scare him off but sounding completely 100% crazy. "How do you know I want to hang out with a happy cheerful person? You don't even know me. I mean, for all you know, i could prefer to hang out with the dark crazy person?" He smirked slightly and then sighed deeply. "I highly doubt your brain mocks you. It's not like it has a mind of it's own or anything." The boy rolled his turquoise eyes at the girl and said, "Again, nothing you say will make me run away."

He stared at the girl once more, trying to study her even further, but getting nowhere. He knew for a fact that witches existed, but he'd never met a person who wanted to kill one. "How can you defeat this witch, if you know for a fact that she's more powerful?" Shell asked, obviously throwing in the pessimistic obvious. He wasn't too fond of the girl's ignorance to fight someone more powerful, most likely knowing she'd fail on her own and refusing any help. But he kept this to himself, thinking that perhaps the girl would end up explaining herself more clearly.
