That's a Burn

Alastair walked in the forest. It had been nearly two days since he stepped foot on campus, and he already met someone that made him smile. Not in a flirtatious way, but in a way that made him always want to stick by her. Kyako. He never got a last name, but she sounded nice.

His eyes opened to a tree right in his way, and slamming straight into it, he fell down, rubbing his nose. His head darted left and right to see if anyone saw him do the idiotic act. Getting up from his fall, Alastair, in a paranoid manner, slipped on the glove harder, hoping to not cause any pain to anyone.

The forest seemed great, the dew just forming first thing in the morning, brushing against his leg and some of his pants. The way that the sky looked only let Alastair appreciate his own religion a bit more.

A disk of light could be seen on the horizon. It came sloser, still to devoid of detail. It hovered just a small distance away and slowly descended as three kickstand-like devices came out of its bottom to support it as it landed. A section of the disk descended into a ramp for entry as the light faded to leave the ship a dull gray in color. The material it was made from was shiny. Forakamar Azunasil had moved here to be further away from the city so that no foolish vagabonds would happen upon his abode. He got out of his chair, standing on his short legs. He reached over to pick up a steel rod, prompting it to sprout bristles. "Infernal dust. It settles in every corner, on every keyboard, every surface. It makes my temporary residence appear quite haunting. Haunting isn't the image I'm maintaining for myself. That would remind me how desperate and ridicule-worthy my position currently is. I should keep at least a faint delusion of hope." He snapped his fingers, calling out floating spheres. "Sweep." He commanded. Bristles sprouted from the surface of the orbs. They flew around quickly, brushing up against every surface. Soon they had gathered all of the dust into a pile, which Forakamar carefully swept out through the hatch. He had no idea that a human would be lurking in the forest at this hour...

The poor an disillusioned seventeen-year-old hadn't expected anything of the man, but rather assumed he was a wizard from a cartoon or Disney. The poor boy looked towards the man and merely smiled, not really wanting to make conversation with a stranger or anything of the such. Walking towards the house, but not into it, Alastair decided that breakfast or sleep would be the best thing to do. His excitement was getting the better of him and his summer wasn't over just yet. Drawing in some of the dew to his legs, he also heard the crunching sound that some of the grass made when resisting the force of a foot pressing down on it.

Forakamar shut off his image projector, revealing himself as a little green man with a little body and a huge head. "That's all for the dust." He said. Turning around to go back inside, he spotted Alastair. No good. He would certainly tell people about such a spectacle. Something would have to be done. "Good morning!" He said, waving. He rummaged through his memories for proper Earth statements to use. "Have you had breakfast yet? I was just about to fix up a meal that's out of this world! Do come in!" He stepped to the side to allow Alastair to enter. Within, there were several keyboards, monitors, flashing lights, and indescribable machines.

Alastair merely stared at the...thing for a couple seconds. It's head and body weren't in proportion and his eyes could only stare at him, and not the gadgets and not all the spectacle. He must've been dreaming this whole time. Pressing his hands to his temples, the seventeen-year-old thought this is either a dream or I've met an alien. Then again, there are mutant like things in this world. It can't be all that creepy. But that head.

Alastair smiled as best as he could, which wasn't good at all, and shook his head, "No thank you. I've had breakfast and I'm full. thank you though for all your help. I'm gunna go." He tried to get a running sprint and put his left hand on his right glove, taking it off. If the man tried to attack, his paranoid and silent self would burn that man, even if it did scar and scare him for life.

That was unfortunate. He had scared the boy away. He couldn't have him reporting back to his friends. Forakamar decided that he had no other choice. From his pocket he wielded a strange-looking gun and fired a swift bolt at the fleeing youngster. "Nothing personal. I just can't be discovered." He said under his breath. He called to the spheres. "Capture." He commanded. Ten of the orbs took flight and sped after Alastair. small tubes stuck out of them to fire a sort of slime to contain their target.

Alastair's hand almost reached the doorknob when his feet were stuck to the ground, and the slime continued to stick to his clothes as well. Using his right hand, he burned the slime only to get more. "What's this for?" The teenager stood still, not hearing the whole thing about not wanting to be heard about.

His eyes looked down at the slime, and a sigh came over him. He wouldn't be able to get out unless he subdued the man or swayed the mans by a means of charisma.

Forakamar turned a dial on his gun, setting it to paralysis. He fired it at Alastair to prevent any non-facial movements. The effect would only last five minutes, so he had to work fast. "Bring him in." He commanded the orbs. Ropes emerged from the spheres and they circled the boy, entangling him to carry him into the awe-inspiring ship. "On the table." Forakamar said. The orbs set Alastair on a round table where Forakamar strapped his forearms and calves to the table. He plugged a few suction cups into Alastair's head and sat down to type on a computer. According to the data, the boy was certainly 'gifted.' Forakamar stood up and grabbed a device that resembled a metal detector. He held it over Alastair and scanned him with it. "Interesting." Using tongs, Forakamar pulled off one of the boy's gloves. He lifted a cylindrical red creature with no features other than skin and bulging veins. It was the size of a cucumber. He prodded Alastair's hand with it and the creature shrieked. "That's a burn..." He pointed out, examining the creature. He untrapped Alastair's legs and pulled out the suction cups. "I'll be perfectly honest." He said. "I don't trust humans. I'll only let you go without having your memory wiped if you're prepared to be put under surveillance." The paralysis had worn off while Forakamar had been observing his data.

Alastair, after almost being scarred for life after what's happened wouldn't have even dreamed of telling Kyako. She wouldn't believe him anyways. The surveillance could also help if he got in trouble, that is if he was willing. Shrugging, the boy decided to nod his head yes at the surveillance thing. "I'm sorry for finding you out." The seventeen year old wasn't dumb or anything just being strapped by your arms isn't the most comfortable feeling and also being threatened to have your memory erased isn't the most comforting idea.

Maybe he should get to know our kind. He's pretty gifted himself with mechanics, why doesn't he make a disguise as a teenager or as a teacher and make up a power. Just go with that and go to the school. He can put me under surveillance that way and he can also get to know us. He really really didn't want to speak his thoughts, for one because he normally didn't and the other is that the idea was sort dumb. The fact was that this man...thing was brilliant and didn't need to be bothered. Plus the risks were too much.

Forakamar wandered over to an open space on the floor. "Chemistry table." He commanded, prompting a table to rise in front of him covered with bottles and beakers of unidentifiable chemicals. He mixed a few, thinking. He changed his mind and turned on a device. It sat on the chemistry table and looked like a blender, though with metal sides instead of glass. He poured the mixed chemicals in, and when he poured them back into their containers they were seperate chemicals rather than mixtures. "Hide. Surveillance. Eavesdrop." He commanded. Twenty spheres took flight through the hatch to fly through one of Alastair's windows, wether or not it was open. They scattered throughout the house, found vantage points, and camouflaged themselves to avoid detection. "Release." He said, prompting a duo of orbs to unstrap Alastair's arms. He appeared suspicious, but inwardly he laughed. He would need to blend in with the humans, and this boy could help him. "You're free to go. Just remember two things above everything else: One, I'll be closer than you think. Two, betray the trust I've displayed and you'll be dissected." Such an effective threat. Even if he wouldn't actually cut open a human, he certainly would use their fear of it against them.
