On his way to the dorm room that was assigned to him, Shinji stared at the paper that seemed to be some type of map for the newer students. Again, he didn't even pay attention to what was in front of him and ran into many things including a few walls. All he had to do was shrug it off and go through with what he was doing. Once he was close, he stopped for a moment to look around the hall. "This is the hall apparently, but what is the room number again?" He asked himself as he looked back down to the paper. He scanned the paper for moments before he saw the actual room number at the bottom of the page. "Ah here we are, room number 322. Now lets see where are you." He said s he began walking further down the wooden framed hallway. It was beautifully crafted and it was a wonder that someone would be able to do something like this. He wondered how long it took said person to design and build this. But that wasn't the matter now. As he approached the other end of the hall, he noticed that the room numbers were ascending by number. "318, 319,320,321..." He said to himself within his thoughts as he finally made it to the designated the room. He stood outside of the room for a moment and thought about how he was finally at the academy in one piece and could finally go out and explore the place. But first, he had to get settled into his room. No one said anything about a roommate so he wasn't expecting anyone.
Upon opening the door to the dorm room, Shinji saw that everything was rather dusty. It seems that no one has vacated this room yet. "Well isn't this just so spiffy?" he said sarcastically to himself to give himself a proper room warming. It was his way of getting suited into a place or with others. It makes him feel just a little better inside. Aside from his jokes, Shinji looked around and saw that everything was perfectly placed. There were two individual bed in case of the factor of roommates moving in, both with deep blue sheets and comforters. The pillows were large and fluffy. The floor was made of hard would that was covered with a softener to keep splinters and cracks away. There was a small television in the same room about 5 feet away from the beds. There was one large window on the wall furthest from the door and it held a balcony from the underlying pane. Walking into the living quarters of such a room there was a small den to just lounge in. This place was truly spectacular.
Shinji sat on the bed closest to the window and looked outside. The moon was bright and everything was perfectly held in its place by the still breeze. "Ah, before I even unpack, I want to check out the roof if nothing else." Shinji said before standing up and walking to the door. There was a key on the desk next to the door and he assumed it was to the door and took it with him. After closing said door, he locked it with the key and headed to where he believed the roof would be. The roof was always his favorite place to go no matter where he was. It was so relaxing.
