The used goods store was small, rather dusty, and packed with clothes; just how Trinity liked it. In fact, she didn't even know the name of the store, but knew exactly where it was and when they restocked. The shopkeepers knew who she was, and generally stayed out of her way. Just how she liked it.

Today was the day after a fresh restock, and Trinity was in a good mood. She carried a pile of clothing in one hand and searched through the aisles for more clothes that would most likely get shredded to bits in the next month. She shifted bit to let someone pass, telling them on a whim: "You'll find things in your size towards the other wall."

It had been quite a while since Liliana had been able to go scour secondhand shops - one of her favorite past-times. Basically life as well as school, her partner KirMir, and her roommates had kept her busy and from her hobby.

But today, when one of her roommates broke another dinner plate and another had burnt a hole in a pot... something she was still unsure of exactly how that had happened, she decided it was high time to go thrifting again and see if she might find some housewares and, of course, a few things for herself.

Wandering the aisles of the used goods shop, three plates, a pair of almost new oven mitts, and a saucepan in her basket, Liliana stopped to look at a leaf green top with straps that had little delicate green bows on them when a very pretty dark haired girl addressed her.

"Oh?! Thanks! I was wondering about that. They seem to always be shuffling things around," she confessed as her green gaze strayed to the evergrowing bundle of clothes in the young woman's one arm.

"You seem to have found some nice stuff?!" Lily smiled as she spied a shirt or two that she'd have chosen for herself.

Trinity raised her eyebrows. She was not expecting an actual response from a stranger. Still, the comment gave her a little flush; she liked finding pride in the very few things she was good at doing.

"Thank you? I... am quite good at shopping for used things, I suppose." She gave the stranger an awkward smile. "Were you looking for clothes as well?"

At any rate, Trinity held out her mountain of clothing with one arm. "You might as well take some, if they are in your size. Some of them are quite nice; they would be safer in someone else's hands. No worries, I can always find more. Most clothing stores arrange their clothing sizes randomly, but this store always has smaller things on that one end. I never knew why."

"I was, I was hoping to find a winter sweater or two," Liliana said as she put down the top. "Although I mostly came here to get some plates and a pot," she confessed as she gestured to the basket that was now sitting on the floor beside her feet.

"Seems my roommates have a special knack for burning holes in pots," the psychopomp remarked laughingly, adding with a grin.

"Don't ask. I have no idea how they managed it. I can only think they were making a potion of some sort," she guessed, wrinkling her nose at the idea.

Looking first at the proffered pile of clothes, Liliana then focused her attention back on the girl. "Are you sure? I can always go through what you don't take," she explained, not wanting to take something the girl might have really wanted.

Trinity shrugged. "I can help you find the good pots and plates, if you want. I don't know much about potions, but I expect that you can't just make them in any old pot. I've got nothing left to do today anyway. Rowdy roommates?" She tried laughing along, but it just ended up sounding a bit flat. Trinity hadn't had much chance to laugh these days.

She did not withdraw her hand either. Even Trinity was surprised, though it would probably just be unsporting to take what she had said back. "Just take some. I'll be taking all of these otherwise, and they'll all be shredded to bits by the end of the month. There are a couple of sweaters in there too."

(Sorry, I never got a notification for this.)

"No, not rowdy," Liliana said with a smile and shake of her head. "More like we all are a bit, er, ... domestically challenged at times," she confessed her tone light as she admitted to the group's shortfallings.

"Are you sure?" Lily asked as she helped herself to the shirts she had had her eye on and a few of the mentioned sweaters.

Then, "Thank you. I was in need of a few good winter sweaters," she admitted as she looked at the emerald green sweater that was something she knew she'd get a lot of wear out of.

"Why so many clothes? Wardrobe update?" Liliana asked, curious now as to why the girl had chosen so many shirts and tops.

(I haven't been getting notifs either, it's fine!)

"I get what you mean," Trinity replied, almost laughing. "That's kind of why I don't get along well with most of the roommates I've had back home... every one of them was weird in one way or the other."

Trinity stopped for a moment as the stranger asked about her pile of clothes. Of course she wasn't about to tell her about the truth, but it was easier to just distract her immediately.

"You don't want to know. I'm Trinity, by the way. Why don't we go over to the old kitchen supplies?" She gestures towards the back of the shop where ceramics, pots, glassware, and other old, used kitchenware sat on dusty shelves.

"Well, I guess, since we are all a bit strange in our own ways, you just gotta find the weirdos that are right for you," Liliana remarked jokingly as she placed the clothes she had taken from Trinity in her basket and followed the girl to the housewares section.

"I should probably also get myself a new mug while I am here," she stated as her gaze automatically flittered to a corner where a ghost was hovering quietly, unseen by most of the patrons.

Deciding to ignore the spectre, for now, Liliana moved down the aisle to look at all the mugs, many of which had sayings like, "Witch, please", "Keep calm and Drink Coffee", "Coffee Fiend".

Trinity sensed something odd in the air. It almost felt like a spirit was hanging around. But as long as the Valkyries didn't pull her away to deal with it, it wasn't her problem. Besides; it seemed unlikely that someone who had died here of battle had yet to be sent to the appropriate afterlife. But she did look up for a moment in surprise. "...Hm."

She stood distracted for a moment until she realized that Liliana had wandered over to the mugs. "Weren't we supposed to be looking for... Oh, Witch, please, I like that one." Trinity picked it up and examined it with her free hand.

Picking up the witch mug. Liliana happened to glance over at Trinity just as she let out a gasp that sounded like she was surprised by something, but as the psychopomp wasn't someone to assume things, her gaze flickered briefly once again to the ghost to see if it had done something to Trinity. Upon noticing that it was still hovering quietly in the corner, the redhead continued on with her thrifting.

"I like it too," she grinned when the dark-haired girl commented positively on her choice. "I am thinking I should just get another one, maybe two," she admitted as her gaze moved back to all the different mug choices in front of her.

"Any suggestions?" Liliana asked her curiously.
