Oh dear, Levina's answer and tone were a sign that Cosette had approached a line that should be left uncrossed for the time being. Perhaps Levina was possessive of her belongings? It wasn't a bad trait to have, and Cosette didn't take her words personally. Well, not too personally, she did feel bit hurt. But such a small amount that it didn't maker her gentle smile waver. Cosette merely carefully tucked away the fact that she shouldn't talk about similar subjects in the future and then answered.

"I will gladly keep my shiny. But I'd be very happy if you allowed me to bake for you, nevertheless. I am an apprentice at a patisserie so I promise the results are likely to be to your liking."
Cosette assured and chuckled as she resumed walking, at a gradual pace so they could have a good amount of time to chat.

Persistent. She might have been timid but Cosette was persistent. Levina continued walking, locking pace with her new found friend. She didn't think she was going to be able to get out of it, and how she normally handled situations where people insisted on things would not be appropriate.
"If you are talented with baking as you say you are, I would be happy to pay for it. Look at it as a friend supporting another friend. I can even share it with my boss and maybe bring more business."
She was of course skirting around her real reasoning. Levina didn't believe anyone would do anything because they wanted to without expecting something in return. That's how the drinks at the bars worked. That's how the experiments and powers work. The flowers....the clothes.....the food. It's how it all worked.

Perhaps...Levina didn't want to receive charity? Or not charity, per se, but free things. Just like she wouldn't give away things for free she wouldn't take things for free. Or Cosette suspected it was like that, though she of course couldn't be sure. She had only just now met this person and didn't have any possibility of actually knowing her. But she could always try.

Cosette smiled gently and nodded.
"That is very true, thank you very much for your consideration."
Cosette thanked, then looked away bit shyly and continued explaining.
"Well, in truth baking is a way for me to show appreciation towards others, would you accept it if I said it was to further thank you? You did save me from a potentially dangerous situation, and even agreed to be my friend. I'm not certain I can put all my gratefulness into words, so I could show it through my pastries."

Normally Levina would agree and say that everyone should be grateful for anything she did for them. She graced people with just her presence, and if she did something for then, well that was a rare treat someone should cherish. But it felt different with Cosette. She couldn't put her finger on it.
"Bake your goods and we can discuss it then."
Levina sighed and waved a hand slightly dismissively. She was hoping the subject would just be forgotten in the future. For now, the answer would hopefully suffice.

Cosette got Levina to agree, albeit reluctantly, but she was happy nevertheless. Cosette basically glowed and she nodded eagerly.
"That'll do wonderfully. Oh, I nearly forgot. Here."
Cosette dug around in her bag for a bit before pulling out a business card that read Patisserie Cherry, had an address, website link and phone number.
"This is the patisserie I work at. Please visit anytime. We have an open kitchen so if you wish to make sure of my skills you are welcome to observe."
Cosette chuckled, holding out the card gingerly.

Levina took the card and looked over it. It had all the information she would need if she was interested in checking out the patisserie at dinner point. Quick hands tucked the card away and pulled her own card out as well. It was a personal one that looked extremely professional. It included her name, phone number, and email as well as her title of being a personal assistant.
"Thanks and here. My card, should you ever need me for anything."
Holding the card out she waited with a very serious face until Cosette took it. It was as if she were conducting a business deal until a smile made its way back o to her face. Electric blue eyes seemed to hold a shine of almost endearment for her new friend.
"I may not always answer immediately, especially if I am around my boss, but I will always return calls or texts."

Levina's expression and tone changed again, as if Cosette had suddenly turned an important client or such, and she looked down at the business card. It looked so official and fancy and Cosette took it carefully, like it was something fragile. She looked at it with slight awe, and then took the time to dig out her wallet (pink leather with a white soft-looking puff as a decoration) and slip it into a card slot there. That way it wouldn't get wrinkled or dirty.
"Thank you, I'll take good care of it."
Cosette answered with her usual demeanour and patted her wallet a bit before putting it back into the bag.

"I will keep that in mind. Do not worry, I will try not to bother you much during office hours. But I will have to warn you that I enjoy nice long telephone conversations, so prepare yourself."
Cosette said and chuckled, there was a playful undertone to her voice. It was true that Cosette enjoyed long phone chats though, she was much more of a caller than a texter. When texting Cosette always got anxious because she couldn't see the person's face or hear their voice. Body language was very important for Cosette as well.

"Whenever is fine. I don't have set hours. I work when my boss needs me until he doesn't."
Levina shrugged slightly as she spoke. It was very true that Levina was pretty much always on call. If Mr. Sandoval reached out to her, she would be at his side or taking care of problems he had before anything else. He was her priority.
"My free time could be days on end, or nearly nonexistent. It all depends on the amount of work needing to be done."
She always worked herself to exhaustion. But wasnt always by choice. With the electricity basically supercharging her body, she was worn out by the end of most days. Long days and late nights required naps and sleeping in.
"As I said, reach out whenever. I always return messages."

"A personal assistant in the truest sense."
Cosette commented when Levina described her job and work hours, the usual gentle smile on her face. She herself could not imagine not having set hours, a schedule to follow. Cosette thrived on routine, she needed it, and she needed to be in control of that routine. Cosette liked to help people but she didn't want to be tied to them, or be at their mercy. Kind of like a personal assistant would be in their employer's mercy.

"In that case please do not hesitate to contact me, I have set work hours most of the time so I know exactly the best times to reach me. I work from noon to 5pm and then go to classes from 5:30pm to 9pm, and then sleep from 11pm to 8am. Outside those hours I am always reachable."

"There's a reason I almost immediately have a job when I'm let go somewhere. Or quit because most don't just let me go."
Before Mathos had arrived and contacted her, Levina had been sought after by many because of her devotion to her job. Most, however, couldn't live up to her extremely high standard.
Levina listened and committed the times she gave to memory. It was part of her job knowing times, so it was second nature to do.
"Pretty straight forward. So should I swing by tomorrow to pick up these baked goods or..."
She let her voice trail off allowing Cosette to establish even she could come by. It was for two reasons. One, Levina didn't know how to cook so had no clue how that would work. Two, she was testing Cosette to see if she could take charge and make a decision.
