"Tomorrow works just fine for me. Or nearly any day for that matter. Please come at your own convenience."
Cosette answered happily, not at all aware of the "test" Levina jad just conducted. Her mind was already at the pastries she was going to make for her new friend. That, and Cosette briefly noted that they were getting close to her apartment.
"What flavour do you like? So I can make the most suitable pastries for you."

Levina thought for a moment and then waved another dismissive hand. Her normal confident and arrogant attitude coming back into play as she realized what her answer would be.

"Make your best. Unless you think I don't deserve that...."

Letting her words trail off, Levina raised an eyebrow slightly and looked over to Cosette. The answer seemed simple to the blue eyed beauty. She absolutely deserved the best. Anything less was simply an insult.

Cosette's answer to when to come by was expected but disappointing. Levina was hoping she would take charge in the least bit and make a decision even if it might inconvenience Levina. Not just bow out to whatever she wanted.

"Confidence hun. You wanted more of it, I'm gonna help you get it. At my convenience isn't confident. You could be waiting around all day and I might never come. Then I have wasted your time. Tell me when to come by and if that won't work I'll suggest another time."

Levina's tone was almost that of a teacher. Strict and seemingly presenting facts but still caring underneath. It was a new side to her.

"Don't worry, I always make my best."
Cosette assured Levina with a kind smile. Cosette could tell that had she answered any other way Levina could've been quite insulted, since the woman clearly thought highly of herself. Cosette didn't mind assuring Levina of her worth, though, rather she did it gladly.
"I wouldn't dream of giving you something I didn't put all my skills and effort into."

Ah, so it had been a trick question of sorts. Cosette looked down briefly, feeling embarrassment for failing to show confidence. But Cosette didn't feel reprimanded, in fact she felt like Levina was sincerely trying to teacher her and that made Cosette happy (which showed from her smile). But...Cosette had just tried to be polite, like always. Could she be confident yet polite at the same time?
"Well, um, I usually work the register half of my shift, and then in the kitchen another half. If you come when I work in the kitchen I will be able to make your order, and we can have a moment to chat. I have a very kind employer. So...1pm is the most convenient time. Is that acceptable?"

Levina waited patiently as Cosette seemed to try to find a balance between assertive and more polite. They had a ways to go, but it was a start so Levina didn't push much more. She slipped back into her usual confident attitude that was easily mistaken for arrogance.
"One is fine. If I can't make it I have the number to call and let you know. My boss always comes first."
Truer words had never been spoken. Levina always put Mathos first and would have it any other way. This fact showed in her voice as it shifted from a flat fact driven tone to almost a longing. Levina's eyes softened momentarily before returning. She could never hide things.
"Anyways. I'm glad to hear you will put your best into it."

Perhaps Levina held more than just professional feelings of an employee towards her employer. The way she dedicated herself to fully to her employer, and the way she spoke about him, were signs of that. Cosette's smile turned softer, but otherwise didn't react or comment on it. Levina's feelings were her own business, after all.

"I'm glad about that as well. How could I satisfy customers if I cannot satisfy my friend?"
Cosette stated with a kind smile, and then she noticed that they were approaching the last turn before her apartment building. Cosette stopped and turned to face Levina.
"This is where we must part ways, my apartment is just around that corner. I'm very happy to have met you."
Cosette's voice was sincere and so was her smile, as she reached out her hand for a handshake.

Levina looked down at the extended hand. It wasn't anything different than she normally did, it just seemed strange coming from a friend. Regardless, she reached out and took Cosette's hand and shook it.
"Likewise. Again please don't hesitate to call or message me if you need something."
Her voice was sincere but sounded almost confused, as if she didn't normally do something like that. In truth, she didn't. If it wasn't for business, Levina didn't partake except in going out for drinks after work. This was definitely not that however.
"I'm looking forward to trying whatever it is you make me."
There was a hint of something on Levina's face. A smile? Was it? It was small but it was sure there.

Normally in this situation Cosette would've preferred a hug, at least a brief one, but Levina didn't seem like the hugging type. But Cosette didn't want to leave this farewell gesture to be a simple handshake. When Levina took her hand Cosette reached out her other hand as well so she covered Levina's hand completely and gave it a small squeeze, gentle smile on her lips.
"I won't, thank you, Levina."
Cosette answered, noting her confusion but not thinking much of it. Levina seemed like a type to not have many friends, perhaps she wasn't accustomed to it.

"I will be sure to pleasantly surprise you. Please take care."
Cosette wished with a chuckle, and then released Levina's hand. Cosette was happy to see a hint of a genuine smile on Levina's face.

Levina would have found the gesture restricting if she wasn't sure she could send enough electricity through Cosette to kill her. Because Levina was confident in that fact, she gave a small smile and nodded to her new found friend.
"Until next time."
When her hand was released she turned and walked away with the confidence the business woman normally exuded. People tended to move out of her way even she came through and those that didn't quickly learned they should.
The experience with Cosette was interesting. Levina honestly was looking forward to seeing her again.
