Thank you for your hard work

Shiariel listened as she snacked slowly on the plate of food she had with her. She thought she had heard of the Misfits Pack before but couldn't really think of where she had heard it. It did sound interesting compared to Shiariel's life. But apparently Raphael thought differently and asked Shiariel about her own life. For a moment she blushed a little thinking back on everything that was going on at home and how she was to put it.

"Well I guess the most impactful thing that's happened is that my 'boss' from the heavens got shunted here to earth and has no idea what is what down here." She sighed remembering the sudden impact that morning way back when. "Barakiel, I'm pretty sure you've heard of him. But he was last on earth back when Abraham was still around. Or at least roughly around there. So cars, manufacturing on an industrial level, laws. And all that has happened in over two thousand years kinda goes over his head still. In fact when the..." She cringed a little at this next bit. "Love Cruise came to town he didn't realize that it was a romantic thing or that it lasts a whole week and dragged me onto it just saying we were 'going on a boat trip' I thought it was just a day cruise until I woke up ON the cruise after it left port. So it kinda kept me away from work..." She sighed remembering the week with the big idiot.

"Its been... interesting having to teach him like a rookie angel. Haven't had to do that in even back when shamans were still a thing." She took a bite of her food and looked up at Raphael and blinked for a moment. "Most of that probably didn't make any sense did it..."

Raphael had head of Barackiel, in fact. The first words out of his mouth were "Oh God" when she mentioned him. Barackiel was making a problem of himself around when Raphael was getting started on his probation period.

"I understood enough of it," he said when she was done."I really don't envy you. I mean, wow. He took you on the love cruise? Did he think it was a cruise dedicated to loving Jesus or something like that?" He chuckled to himself and sipped his drink. If he was wearing a humanoid face he would be grinning ear to ear, but his wolf-face didn't have that reflex. Shiariel must have a great story to tell about this.

"To be honest I don't think he read the whole title. I think he just saw the word Cruise and thought that it was just going to be a day tour around the island or something. I've forgotten what exactly he said about it. And to be honest I think I needed the week off in hindsight. At the time though I was very furious about the whole deal." Shiariel took another bite of food before continuing. "But Barakiel has been quite a handful since he was forced down here."

Though as she thought about the big idiot she couldn't help but visibly cringe. "Though I have also been a bit harsh of my judgments of him. Most recently he dived into traffic and got hit by a car to save a small child. What I didn't expect from him though was it was a demon child and I had my high ground kicked out from under me when I saw the child. I had thought he was off to chase down someone from his 'list'..." Shiariel trailed off and looked down at her plate. She had strange feelings mixing together in her head and was trying to sort through a few of them.
