Tent's Characters

SECTION ONE: Basic Info
Name: Your character's full name.
Age: Your character's age. If mental/physical/chronological age are different, please clarify.
Gender: Feel free to include pronouns as well.
Species: Please name your characters species. For humans, this should either be 'Unawakened Human', 'Awakening Human', or 'Awakened Human'.
Occupation: What is your character's career? If they're a student, what year/grade/major?

Appearance: A one line summary of what they look like. Can be a sentence or just a brief list.
Personality: A one line summary of how they act. Can be a sentence or just a brief list.
Abilities: A one line summary of their abilities. Can be a sentence or just a brief list.
Situation: A one line summary of where they live and their monetary situation. Can be a sentence or just a brief list.

Character Image: If you have one, feel free to replace this one with it.
Art Credit: If you are using images for your character they must be credited.
Height: How tall are they?

Name: Marion "Mars" O'Malley

Species: Awakening Human
Occupation: Cashier; 11th grade

Appearance: A butch redhead with close cropped hair, slight heterochromia, and scarring from a rough life.
Personality: Loyal, proud, take-no-shit, rough around the edges, kind heart.
Abilities: Fire and/or metal-based magic.
Situation: Barely out of the trailer park- struggling to make ends meet, lives with single dad and younger brother.

Height: 5'8"
Body: Pale skin with clear scarring across her arms and face- mostly from rough and tumble play, fights, and helping out with her dad's business (landscaping). Freckles everywhere. Well muscled build.
Face: An androgynous face. Has freckles and scarring. Wears hearing aids- has complete hearing loss in her left ear, partial in her right.
Eyes: Has slight heterochromia (her eyes are differing shades of green).
Hair: Close cropped and fiery red.
Clothes: Tends to dress in secondhand clothes. Favors jeans, t-shirts with rolled up sleeves, and a vaguely greaser-esq aesthetic.

SECTION THREE: Personality

Loyal: Mars was raised with a strong sense of honor and loyalty- if she says she'll do something, she'll follow through. She tends to seem abrasive and aloof at times, but she bonds HARD and will rush to the defense of anyone she considers a friend/family.

Rough Around The Edges: Years of small town pettiness towards her and her family regarding their poverty has left Mars pretty cynical; she assumes people look down on her and reacts in kind with sarcasm and hostility. She has very little patience for social niceties and small talk and more often than not ends up swearing (even when in polite company).

Kind Heart: Despite the above, Mars truly has a kind heart. She is a devoted daughter and older sister and is the sort who would go out of her way to stand up for a defenseless person. Her soft side's mostly reserved for her family (and cute girls), but close enough friends might get a glimpse too.

Quirk: Mars tends to angle her right side towards people rather than looking at them directly while they speak in order to hear them better. She also chews on objects (gum, toothpicks, ice chips), and cracks her knuckles as a nervous habit.

Housing: Mars lives in a small one story house with her dad and brother in the sketchier part of town.
Wealth: Struggling blue collar family. Mars has to work to make ends meet and put food on the table.

Place of Birth: Polaris Point
History: Mars has always had a rough life- her parents were lower middle class at best and her mother passed away following complications with Mars' brother's birth. Her father struggled to make ends meet afterwards. Mars ended up stepping up, first by looking after her brother and then by getting a job as young as she could manage. Currently works as a cashier and has recently begun to Awaken.
