Toki looked at her not quite understanding what he had done wrong. He could not understand her. He did not understand why it was so hard for her to say something to him. He had no idea that she could not talk like he did. He looked at the plant the she had helped him pull out. He could have figured it out on his own if he was given the chance. What problem did she have.

He went back to pulling out his weeds. "It's not like I wanted to do this in the first place," he muttered. He pulled out more weeds. He pouted while he worked. She did not have to be so mean to him.

Violet rolled her eyes, it was something she had picked up from her roommate, you don't have to droop just because you're doing something you don't want to be doing. Maybe she could ask Ana for some of that money stuff later, that's what you use to get things like ice cream, isn't it? It was kinda her fault he lost his in the first place.

That wasn't really important at the moment though. What really needed to be done was finishing the weeding and then transplanting the pretty or useful weeds to a special place before they got too mad at her.

Soon enough she was bumping up next to him and they were almost done. "There, that wasn't so bad, was it?" she said, pulling up the last weed and giving him a smile. He wasn't quite so bad at it as he could be, though it was obvious he wasn't a gardener in any sense. She could help with that though.

Leaving the composting pile for later, she carefully gathered up the transplanting pile in her arms to take to the more secluded place she had found that Spring. As she walked away she turned a bit to give a 'thank you' nod only to trip over her not-yet-steady feet for the second time that day, flowers spilling everywhere.

Toki pulled out a weed when he felt Violet bump him. He was not as fast as she was but had had made sure that he did a decent job. He felt proud of himself. His first time gardening wasn't a complete failure. Though he had to admit that he did act like a spoiled child at one point, not that it mattered to him. Now he had to water the flowers. But he could do that later. He just had to make sure not to forget. He got up and wiped the dirt on his pants. He just hoped it did not make his pants to dirty. They were black so it did not matter that much.

He looked at Violet only to see her tip as she turned to do something. He moved to catch her but just went down with her. For some reason he had forgotten that he a child right now. He shook his head. That was going to happen tomorrow and he already had plans to disappear for that period. He looked at Violet. "You need to be more careful. I can help if you want." He was secretly hoping that she would refuse his offer, but he was trying to appear nice.

Violet looked over at the boy who had fallen down with her. "That would be nice, thank you," she said, getting up and picking up the scattered plants before handing some over to him. "Be careful with them, okay? Just follow me," she did her best to help him understand her with gestures and such, but she couldn't be sure until she saw what she did.

When she finished picking up the plants she started walking again, this time using slow and careful steps so that her body wouldn't betray her again.

It took a while, but they eventually got there. It wasn't as nice as she left it, but it could be worse. She had managed to find a place that was open, but little traveled to and filled it with all sorts of flowers and other plants she liked that weren't wanted elsewhere. It was full of dandelions and violets and mint and echinacea and such. Some of the plants that spread more easily were starting to leave the boundary, though it would have been worse if it had been any garden but hers.

Here she gently set down her pile and went to fetch a couple spades from a nice box she had found. At least that had held up nicely.

Toki helped pick up the weeds that she had been carrying. He did not understand what she was trying to say but he was guessing that she was allowing him to help. He made sure to be careful not to bruise the flowers. He he held as much as he could. He followed Violet not being as care as he with his foot steps. He was not prone to tripping as he walked.

When they reached their destination he paused when he saw all the flowers. It looked amazing to him. It was different compared to the garden that he had seen earlier. It reminded him of the gardens back home. Well the way they looked more then the flowers in them. He smiled sadly upon thinking of that.

He put the flowers down beside where Violet had placed hers. He watched Violet walk towards a box. "By the way I never got your name. My name is Toki, what is yours?"

Violet turned, carefully this time, when she heard the boy, Toki, ask a question. She shrugged as she turned back and bent down to open the plastic box and take out the spades, Ana helped sometimes, that's why she had more than one. "I don't remember, and I've been called more than one thing since I came here. Though, I do prefer sharing the names of the flowers," she was walking back towards him at this point, gesturing toward the plants around her. She didn't worry about accidentally stepping on the plants, they told her if her feet came too close, and grass got used to abuse after a while. "Ana calls me Violet, and I've gone by Daisy as well," she pointed at the flowers she named with her toes as she passed them, hoping he would recognize them.

Toki looked at the flowers as she pointed to them. He wondered if they had something to do with her name. He thought about their names, he had heard about people that had that name before. Maybe that was her name. He thought about the names of the flowers. "So your name is Violet?" he asked just to make sure. He was still guessing what she was saying. Her gestures were not always sure for him. He was not use to talking to people in such a manner. He wondered if he was going to get better at understanding what Violet was telling him. It would be helpful.

Violet shrugged with a smile, he could call her what he wanted. She didn't mind.

Upon reaching Toki, she handed him one of the spades and grabbed a couple flowers from the pile before handing him one of those too. She then lead him over to an area where there was enough space and showed him how to dig a proper hole for the flower.

Toki took the spade and looked at it remembering for a second how to use it. He held the flower carefully and made his way to the spot. He watched her instructions and then went to an empty spot and started to dig a hole. It was much easier than he thought it would be. It was much easier than he thought it would have been. He gently put the roots of the flower in the hole and paused. He wondered if he should use the dirt or was he suppose to have new dirt to place there instead.

So far so good, he had managed to dig a decent hole and get a plant in. She then went over to check on her compost pile, but before she got there, she could already tell by the smell that it wasn't ready yet. All those months of not mixing it put it behind schedule. She could mix it later, these plants needed to be buried before the rain drove her helper inside, it was coming soon, and help was always appreciated.

After walking back, she showed him how to properly pack the dirt back into the hole and to check for air bubbles. Content that he would be able to finish, she moved on to the next plant while the first few drops of rain fell down to earth. Pleased, she looked up at the sky. "Good, we could all use a good watering." She then looked at Toki, hoping he'd stay out for a bit longer.
