He smiled and nodded, "I'll take you to town, we'll get you a few things," he liked their little trips, he knew she had to take some things slowly but he still enjoyed it. "I'm sure you'll look cute."

He pulled his phone out and looked up examples for his costume, "I'll need a top hat and a suit if some sort." He smiled, "we'll get all we need and I'll grab Tesa, see what she wants to go as."

He poked her cheek playfully, "we'll get you a lot of candy."

Nia giggled and nudged Aedan back as he poked at her cheek. She liked their friendly banter. It felt so safe to her yet so unfamiliar. There really weren't very good words for it.

But still she was writing and that was something. She looked down at the piece of paper on her lap and sighed.

"This book is not what I expected it to be.." She said wistfully. She was silent for a moment, before her shoulder suddenly twitched and she seemed to pulled out of some mental rabbit hole, "Where is Tesa?

He chickled as she nudged him back, he didn't realized it then, but he was experiencing the feeling of having a family again, something he'd almost forgotten.

He noticed her shoulder twitch, he knew it was a sign she may be about to have an episode, simmilar to how his left hand twitched.

He put an arm around her and hugged her, "Tesa? In her dorm probably, we didn't have a date today." He smiled, he knew meeting new people made her nervous, "listen, she's willing to put up with me despite being oddball, which means I'd say she'll really like. you."

She sighed, her shoulders raising slightly as she did. Her shoulder twitched again and she pulled into herself a bit more before responding to Aedan.

"Okay.. I just didn't know where she lived or and.. yeah. I was just wondering.." She wasn't really sure why she asked the question she had but she just had one of the urges to know.

He gave her a kind smile, "hey it's all good, I know you like to know things." He hugged her again and stood up, "so got any ideas of what you'll need for your costume? I'll get us a cab when we go." Another chance to have one of their pleasent trips.

He tapped his chin, "I think I may have a top hat somewhere at my apartment." He smiled, "I'll look wierd and you'll look cute, we'll balance each other out," he laughed a bit.

"I never told you this, but I didn't get to celebrate any holidays for a while," he smiled, "I'm happy I'm spending this one with you and Tesa."

Nia thought for a moment. "I'll need a white apron and a blue headband.. I guess I'll have to wear shoes out trick or treating?" She questioned looking down at her bare feet. She always preferred to not use shoes but some people seemed very concerned about broken glass and such things. Aedan was one of those people.

Nia shrugged, "I've never celebrated any holidays before.." She had been around for Christmas last year but nothing about the event had motivated her. She had been given a couple presents by the school, Makara and Santa Clause (at least that's what Makara told her) but she just didn't find the concept to be that appealing. If anything she just felt bad that people had wasted money and time on her..

He nodded, "we'll I'll get you those things, and anything you need." He crouched and looked at her, "I understand, I havent celebrated one in two years. I'm nervous too," he had more or less forgotten what it was like to celebrate one.

He hugged her, "I'm not to sure what to do myself," he gave her a smile, "but we'll figure it out together." He chuckled, "thats life, figuring things out with the people you know," and he'd be there to help her figure it out, every step of the way.

Nia hugged Aedan back, happy that he was the one she was going through all of this with. It hadn't been that long since they had gotten to know each other but they were already so close. She really didn't know how it was that she had survived so long without him in her life.

"Okay Aedan." She said softly as she nuzzled herself into him.

"In life we all have to deal with things," he smiled at her, "the key is finding someone who's willing to stand with you as you go through them, and I'll be here whenever you need me."

He stood up still smiling, "think of it as a celebration of our friendship, we'll feast on candy, I'll play my violin for you and Tesa, we'll cekebrate that we have each other."
