"Oh, well, I don't think many people would respect someone so much more immature than them." Which was a funny thing for her to say. Despite how much she wanted respect from people she did act like a child frequently when she wasn't focusing on her behavior. There were even humans younger than her that had more life experience and intelligence to be in grades higher than her.

"Why not get those who want to join trainers or tutors or whatever to help them out? Or just keep them out altogether if they're not good enough to participate. That sounds like a much more simpler solution." He didn't seem like the type to care that much about kids. What's next? Kindergartners got representation too?

The entire conversation was becoming increasingly bizarre because Havoc had absolutely no idea what he was talking to. They were some kind of... space alien thing, but he had no idea how old they were. Were they in college? Were they in highschool? Were they a year old? The entire conversation about respecting or not respecting those younger then you had a strange and confusing spin placed on it in context, and Havoc abruptly realized that he had, for the second time in as many days, had an entire conversation with someone without doing any sort of introduction.

"I'm considering a variety of options," Havoc clarified. "But peer mentor ship is certainly a possibility."

That finished, Havoc moved on to his current point.

"I haven't introduced myself. My name is James Havoc, I go by Havoc, Miss...?"

Havoc wasn't even sure if 'miss' was the correct thing to say. He was far from up to date on gender issues, and the gender issues on the island had to be something else entirely. Did aliens even follow human genders? Was he being insulting by saying as much? Only there was no neutral word he could think of that might have filled in, so Havoc decided he'd simply have to ask someone later.

Maybe Nix--he seemed like he would know.

She giggled lightly. "Avatia, but I also go by Ava. Don't people usually do introductions first, Havoc?" It was a bit silly for him to campaign for people to know who he was and what he wanted, and then leave out his own name when speaking to them, even if it was most likely on the posters he was giving out.

"Yes," Havoc admitted. "Introductions customarily come first."

His name was on the posters, but Havoc didn't bother to point it out. It was good to have someone talking to him, even if she didn't seem to agree with all of his points, although it seemed that the conversation had mostly wound down.

"Did you have any other questions, Avatia?"

He couldn't help but wonder if that name had a human origin, or if it was purely alien.

"Hmm," she thought deeply, wondering if there was anything else to talk about. There didn't seem like there was anything else to talk about though. She also wanted to speak to the other runners, well, if she could find them in time. She wasn't sure when this whole thing ended, but with how badly she was at even knowing it existed in the first place she probably had a tight time limit.

"Nope, nothing at all. I think that's it. If I got any other ques-Wait! What are your opinions on the others running? I haven't heard much about them, but I'm sure you got feelings towards them, right? Like, will they be working for you? Do you dislike their plans? Do you know where I can find them so I can talk to them too?"

Havoc had thought he was done, but it turned out that Avatia had other plans. Havoc cocked his head as she began to abruptly run down a massive list of questions, and then in short order set about returning fire in rapid succession.

"I wish all the others running the best, but I haven't spoken to many of them. Emily Strong is a good candidate, who is focusing primarily on extra-curricular activities and community outreach. I haven't spoken to Raphael Niccolo, but his platform is focused entirely on non-discrimination and diversity. And A'laya..."

Havoc paused, his face an ever so slightly look of annoyance flashing across his face. "They want to... to optimize things?"

Their platform hadn't been terribly clear to Havoc. It had covered a lot of general points, but the gist of the speech had seemed to him to be I am pretty, vote for me so you can be pretty too.

Maybe that wasn't very accepting.

"I'm not sure where you'd find any of them. Perhaps the cafeteria?"

The other candidates didn't sound so bad, though it was quite clear that Havoc wasn't sure on how to explain A'laya's points. She would have gone deeper into that, but he seemed too confused to give any useful information. And only a few minutes ago did Avatia thing Havoc had all the answers to everything related to the election. He seemed older, more mature, and reserved, like he was the prime example of a good adult. His confusion was a let down.

"More extracurricular activities? That sounds fun. I didn't know we had a discrimination problem here." It made sense: so many different people would eventually lead to some thinking they're better than others. "I thought this school was diverse enough. Or, well, this entire island..."

Havoc could only shrug at the discussion about discrimination problems. He hadn't been on the island long enough, and he wasn't personally experienced anything he'd have counted as discrimination.

"You would have to ask them," Havoc said simply. "I wouldn't say that it isn't an issue, but it isn't something I've personally dealt with or have first hand experience with. Raphael Nicollo would probably be able to explain things to you better. Considering that he's likely to end up on council with me as well, I wouldn't want to speak over his points."

More or less everyone who had applied to the council was likely to get in, as far as he was aware.

"If you're interested, you could also apply for council if you'd like. I believe signups will remain open until the election happens."

"Of course, sorry about that. Now... I don't think I have anymore questions, lucky for you. Thank you for your time, Havoc. You really helped me out." Avatia wanted to be rebellious so badly, but she also couldn't ignore when people did nice things for her. Why was it so hard to be mean and dominant?

When he offered if she wanted to be involved she gave a loud and almost goofy laughter. "I'm not qualified. Sorry. I don't even know all the positions, or how they work. Maybe next time, whenever that is."

Havoc nodded at her comments. It was fine if she felt unqualified, and it wasn't his place to make that choice for her. Maybe she was. Maybe she wasn't. He didn't know her well enough to decide.

"The elections are run twice a year," Havoc pointed out. "So you have time to spare."

He gave her another small nod, and then gestured to the rather small pile of posters in his arms.

"I need to go restock, but if you have any questions, I'll be back here in a little while, and probably here for another hour."

He was remarkably easy to find, especially compared to the other candidates who lived off-campus.

Assuming she had no further questions, Havoc would head out, on his way to pick up more posters.
