"Right, let's show you to your room. I imagine you'd like to rest for a little while," Monday said pragmatically as he scooped up Garry. The parrot immediately jumping onto Monday's outstretched hand, taking the cue that it was time to leave the magic room.

Leading Ganymede back into the apartment, Monday left Garry on his perch and showed him upstairs to his room which was fairly compact with a bed, a desk and a wardrobe along with shelves on the wall where Ganymede could put his things.

"This is your room," Monday said as he stood back and let the nek0 enter and check it out.

"When, and if you want, we can paint or put up wallpaper, maybe different curtains, a throw rug?" he suggested, not quite sure what his charge might enjoy and so Monday had left everything quite neutral in colors and decorations.

Monday was asking him about all these decoration details, but Ganymede was too overwhelmed by the fact that he had his own room. Where he could take naps, or read without being disturbed. He could have privacy.

"I've never gotten to decorate my own room before..." he trailed off, moving to feel how soft the bed was. It was pretty soft; he could almost imagine how much better it would be than napping on a couch. "If that is up to me... I would like some time to think about it." And to learn what those things were. He didn't even know what he liked yet.

"I'm not used to having my own bed," he added, smiling. "Or any of this. It's very nice. Thank you."

Monday just nodded and gave Ganymede an understanding smile when they asked for more time to think about what they'd like to do to the room. "Of course, when you are ready we can go shopping or order a few things for your room," he stated. "No rush," he added.

"There is a small bathroom with a shower too," he said opening what Ganymede may have thought was another closet to reveal a very small but functional bathroom with towels, soap, shampoo, and shower.

None of the bathrooms in the house had bathtubs. Monday's mother had let the Endless Sea take her in their bathtub at home, leaving Monday to find her body when he came home later that day, and since that moment, he refused to have a home with a tub.

"I'll let you unpack your things and rest for a while. But before I go, I am making a shopping list for tomorrow, any foods you'd like, don't like or can't have?" Monday asked Gany curiously.

He was aware his diet was similar to a feline's but he knew that some cats likde foods that weren't exactly "catish" and Monday wasn't sure how strict that diet actually was.

Ganymede just looked at him for a moment. His previous owners were all given instructions in advance on what he could eat. Not that Monday was his owner now, everyone had been very clear about that, but he still thought it was odd that he had to explain.

He got to explaining what he could eat, and how much. "...And my favorite treat to have is milk, but it has to be a special formula like what you give cats. Cow's milk is bad for me."

Hopefully Monday wouldn't toss him a live mouse. He hated that, even if it was supposed to be healthy for him. He'd feel so gross until he got all the fur out of his mouth.

As Monday took note of Ganymede's dietary restrictions, he remembered then that his neighbour had commented that her cat sometimes ate things like blueberries, pumpkin, and strangely enough, cantaloupe.

"Alright then, I will remember to pick some of that milk up for you tomorrow," Monday said agreeably, thinking that he'd check the pet store first for the milk Gany mentioned.

"If you are hungry later, there is some roasted chicken in the fridge and lamb chops from last night, I believe. And, if you need anything, don't hesitate to ask, okay?" Monday said as he looked at Gany, adding:

"I am in the shop if you need me, and Candle will probably come in later to introduce herself, but for now, just, ah, make yourself at home," Monday suggested as he turned to leave, and then stopped and turned around, seemingly having forgotten something.

"Oh, I almost forgot, welcome to your new home, Ganymede," Monday said smiling as he then shut the door and went back to work, not wanting to crowd or overwhelm him any more than he probably already was.
