Vain was walking down the halls hoping to find something of interest. He thought the school was cool already, since he wasn't the only one like him around. He had his camera hanging like a necklace, in case he found someone he might want to mimic later on, which would always be useful. He already had snuck a few teachers, without being caught, so it was already great.

Ember yawned and lightly banged her head against the wall. It was cold and every time she took a look outside, she got depressed. Grey weather always made her feel down in the dumps. Now, all she needed to cheer herself up was something to do. In a small effort of entertainment, she conjured up two balls of fire and formed them into people, boy and girl about the size of her palm, and made them act out a play.

To her amazement, she was actually enjoying it.

He watched the fire act, before snappigng a photo and then walked over to her. "That's awesome." he said, watching the play himself.

Ember practically jumped in mid air when the flash of the guy's camera went off. Her work of art had quickly disappeared because of her loss of concentration. She was this close you yell at the guy when he came over and complimented her. "...Thank you..." She cleared her mind and said, "So, you're a photographer...?"

"Sort of." he said, excited at the thought of him actually being a photographer. "Actually I guess you could call it documentation for subjectry." he said, since he actually kept his photos from transformations for a later date.

Ember simply nodded her head as if she understood any of the words that had just come out of the guy's mouth. Well, she understood most of them, just not the final ones. "And documentation for subjectry is what exactly?"

"Oh, well you see, I'm a shapeshifter, but I can only change into people I've seen in the past 18 hours, so I take pictures of everyone, and that way I have a record of everybody and can see them everyday within 18 hours." he said, pointing out that it made sense. "And besides, taking pictures without people knowing is real art." he said, looking at the picture in the back of the digital camera.

Ember didn't know whether to be flattered that he wanted to take a picture of her or a little creeped out knowing he could shape his form into looking like her. "Okay..." She looked up at him after his last comment and said, "How is that art? Seems a little creepy to me."

"Well, you know how some artists like to paint settings of nature, ell that's because it's pure and isn't altered, and it's thae same with photos." he said, showing her the picture. "See? it's authentic, instead of one of those say cheese pictures." he said.

Ember listened to him carefully. She had never realized it, but he was right. Taking a picture of someone without them actually knowing it seemed much more authentic then having them pose for a picture.

When he showed her the picture he'd just taken of her, she blushed slightly and gave him a small smile. "Well...I guess you do have a point..."
