Surprisingly, this was Avatia's first time visiting the library, and not so surprisingly, the moment she floated in she nearly froze at how different it was. She's been to other libraries before... not on this planet, and most weren't called libraries, but other libraries all the same. This one was overwhelming with its size and how much it could store. For a library that students could use just to research some things she wondered what someone could even do with all this information.

She was going to find out. First, she went to pick up some language books, more specifically, dictionaries and thesauruses, something she felt should've done earlier. It would've helped her when she found herself lost with languages outside of the school. Next, she picked up some things on history of this planet, most of the books she took being about humans. Later on she would get into the non-humans, or humanoids, or whatever you were supposed to call them. For now she wanted to know about the most popular species on this planet, and humans were the most common, or important, from what she could tell. She found it more interesting to look through all of their cultures than figure out how they evolved, but she did plan on learning later on some had powers while others didn't. It was hard though, trying to differentiate some cultures from others, memorizing their traditions, names, and terms they used. It was so hard at times that she had to sit down her books and take a break, feeling too dizzy and frustrated to continue. Even when frustrated she still tried to keep her face in her book, just so others couldn't see her cheeks flushing a bright orange and her eyebrows furrowing.

The day was rather bland for Haru as she crossed over the wet pavement towards the city library. Grey skies blocked the sun's light leaving a feeling of gloom on the world behind her. In times like these, she found spending time in a library was perfect. The feeling of learning something new while embracing the coldness and stillness of life made for a wonderful dichotomy that benefited her studies.

In her short time being here she had spent much of it in the library. Seeing some of the books she read back home in its original language was fun for her. It was like a whole new experience rereading old and new books alike. Haru closed her umbrella before actually continuing through the door. With a few shakes the majority of the water came off and she was on her way into the aisles. Her time back home had made her knowledgeable in much of earth culture and lifestyle. However, there are always things she couldn't learn on Mes and she hoped to rectify these gaps before she left.

Haru ambled down the aisle looking for a book that she hadn't read through or had at home. She had recently taken a fancy to the religious culture this world had adopted over its lifetime and had recently looked through the Quran. Humans had a strange way in which culture formed. Culture stemmed religion while religion, in turn, could stem a cutulre. The equivalent exchange of humans made them even more fascinating as a species and peaked her interest more.

"Maybe I should dig into french culture today hmmm." Haru tapped her lips with her one free hand as she scanned the aisle. Her eyes eventually made it to the end where a few tables were located. Her eyes immediately locked on one of the creatures sitting there. Its face was buried in a book, a lot but not a figuratively but literally. Was it sleeping? Haru raised an eyebrow and walked a bit closer. Kids fell asleep in ha lot so it wasn't something stange but making sure they were okay wasn't a bad deed.

"Excuse me are you alright" Haru tapped the creature lightly to not startle it too much.

It took some woman tapping Avatia's shoulder to get her out of her knowledge burnout, which at this point was just pure laziness. She tilted her head slightly towards the tall, brown-skinned woman. It still felt weird to not turn around and see someone from her own species, but instead some half-spider half-human creature, or in this case, a human-looking woman with purple eyes, something she was pretty sure normal humans didn't have. Maybe she was a rare human.

"Hello," she mumbled, trying to sound cheery and polite, but came off as tired and fake. This didn't stop her from trying to sound approachable though, since she then straightened her back to look up at the woman and put on a much nicer tone to her voice. "Yes, I'm fine. Thank you for asking. I'm just researching human cultures, like... uh..." she glanced back at her book, "the Americas? Wait... there's more than one America?" She wondered how she didn't notice that; although, by the time she started getting bored she also started just skimming through the books before immediately forgetting the information.

Haru chuckled a bit at the little creature seeing how flustered it got over the continents of the earth. It had a cute charm to it that reminded her of someone back home. Sadly she had to leave that little girl alone. But maybe she could help this one. "Yes dear, there is the country of America and the continents of the Americas." Har peered at the book for a second and found what she was looking for on the page the creature was on.

"See in some context we mention central America though it is neither a continent or country. So if you want to put it numerically three Americas are mentioned in earth culture."

Studying earth was a part of her teachings back home. While she still had much to learn the basics of what she would need to know was covered by her father and mother. Glancing at the chair by the creature Haru pulled it out and examined the alien for a quick second. She had not seen a person like this before, but that was to be expected with the plethora of species coming to the island lately.

"Excuse if don't mind me asking where do you come from? I've never seen an alien like you before."

This person was intelligent. Avatia still didn't understand all that America stuff, but she jotted what the woman said it down in her notebook word-for-word. She would figure everything about this world out, even if it killed her. Not literally, of course, because then she wouldn't be able to learn even more.

"Can't they give them different names?" Avatia asked with a haughty tone to her voice. "This is stupid."

Avatia was beginning to get bored of being asked what she was. She hasn't gotten to the point of being annoyed, but she was beginning to get there. She was a Uen'oeb, but it was easier just to say she was an alien. "I'm an alien from space," she explained in a pretty redundant way. "Uen'oeb, but yeah, alien. Name's Avatia. What about you? You a rare human?"

Haru smiled at the Uen'oeb before closing her hands like a student in class. "Well, I find if a person has a name they should be called such. Uen'oeb doesn't sound too hard to say, so in the spirit of not generalizing I will call you Avatia and your people the Uen'oeb." The term alien was so annoying to deal with for Haru. All people were aliens if they weren't from that world. Humans were alien to her but it never stopped her from calling them, Humans. " Oh and you can call me Haru and I am also not of this planet. My people are the Praxian Illumunus but many of us just prefer Prax ......I don't think there is a book of us here but the ones you do meet will probably have the same color eyes and skin as me." Haru pointed to her purple eyes.As always her eyes gave off an aggressive aura as if she was a predator staring at prey.

"So Avatia, are you a student for the academy or just doing personal research?I seem to run across a lot of students here whenever I visit on Tuesday."

Prax was much easier to pronounce than Praxian Illumunus, though Avatia found the latter to be a lovely name. "Nice to meet you Haru," she responded, trying to be as polite as possible. It was easy for her to slip up, jumping back and forth between being well-behaved and speaking casually. It mostly depended on what she thought was easier to speak. "And, uh, sorry. Lotsa people look human here but aren't. Like animal people, they're kind of common."

Haru's eyes disturbed Avatia somewhat. She couldn't pinpoint why, but they made her seem aggressive. Avatia wondered if she did something wrong, but if she did Haru was giving no indication that she was. Maybe that was because they were in a public area.

"Student," Avatia responded, "but this is personal research. I just like learning." She was always proud to say that, even if it didn't sound that impressive to others. While other kids went around going to parties and planning hangouts, Avatia was sneaking around areas she was told to stay away from, but it was okay because it was just for personal research. It wasn't her fault for wanting to become smarter than her peers. "What about you?" she continued. "Are you a teacher?"

Haru chuckled a bit before shaking her head at the question. " No. I'm just a passerby trying to acquire any knowledge about the earth that I couldn't get from home. Sadly the transfer of books has not ben too great between our planets." Haru adjusted herself in her chair placing one leg over the other before continuing. "It's funny you guessed I was a teacher most people assume I'm here with my kid. According to an actual teacher, I know I give off the 'motherly' vibe."

The idea of Haru being motherly always made he want to laugh. Considering all the things she had done in life being a mom was not the final product. As much as it made her want to laugh she couldn't fully deny it. The way she treated most of the children she met was more than beyond the common citizen threshold. Heck, she carried a bunch of fruit snacks just in case she ever saw a kid at the park who would want one. Getting lost in the idea of being a mom Haru faded out of the conversation she was having for a second. It was probably weirder because she had faded out while staring directly at Avatia.

With a quick blink, Haru refocused herself back on Avatia. " Anyway tell me what have you come to find the most fascinating about earth culture. For me its always been their religions and the actions caused by them. I can only imagine how hard it must be having so many deities telling you what to do." Haru gave a bigger closemouthed smile and look as if she was waiting for something to happen. Sadly she didn't get the response she was waiting for and would instead listen to Avatia.
