Glamour: Tacitus can cast a glamour upon himself to make himself look and feel human.

Body Manipulation: Tacitus' body as a spriggan is completely made out of plant matter. Tacitus has free rein over his body and can make himself almost any shape or size. At most Tacitus can make himself 3.5 meters tall and at least 1 meter. Tacitus can make his different body parts different shapes and sizes as well and he can at most spread himself about 3 meters wide, and his limbs can reach up to 5 meters away from him.
When using his human glamour Tacitus can still make parts of his body into those of a spriggan, and his body hair is still made if plant matter which he can control.

Invigorating Touch: Tacitus can grant plants life force and help plants grow. It takes him about 15 minutes to grow a tree from seed to a sapling, and he can revive a plant from the brink of death. He does this by using his own life force and giving it to the plants, and after using this ability Tacitus is fatigued and may even slumber several days, depending on how much life force he used.
Immortal: Tacitus will live forever and if he is ever killed he will become an oak, slumber for some time and then revive again. The slumber can last for a few months or 10 years, depending on how great the damage was upon the moment of his death.
If Tacitus' body is destroyed by burning he will die for good.

Physique
-Strength: Tacitus is supernaturally strong and can lift 1000kg.
-Semi Invulnerability: Tacitus is made of plant matter and though he feels pain he does not bleed and can regenerate himself by using plant matter from his environment. You can only seriously wound him and kill him with fire. If Tacitus doesn't have plant matter available around his his body will, after receiving enough damage, die and turn into a tree.
-Sustenance: Tacitus is a plant and does not need to eat or sleep, though in his human glamour he can do both. Instead he lives on water and sunlight like a plant and is capable of photosynthesis.
-Plant Understanding: Tacitus can understand what plants say and can talk back.
-Part Of Nature: Tacitus has the same scent as nature and if surrounded by it his scent becomes a part of the surroundings.

Friend And Foe: Tacitus appears friendly for all that have an emotional or spiritual connection to and care about nature. They can immediately upon visual contact sense that he is a friend to them and they will find him easily approachable. But upon physical touch they will also know that he has committed great sins against nature and will feel disgust towards him. Depending on the disposition of the person they will either think of Tacitus as a friend or foe.
Guardian Of The Trees: If a tree is harmed within a 2 mile radius of Tacitus he will feel as if his body is the one being harmed, and if he is within 150ft of the harmed tree the damage done to the tree will transfer to him. He can also sense the location of the tree that's being harmed.

Fire: Tacitus is made of plant matter and wood, which mean he sets on fire easily, and even his human glamour is highly flammable.

Tacitus was born long, long ago in ancient Rome. He was a bastard of a noble woman, who had cheated on her husband with a mercenary from far north, that had passed by Rome. The woman was killed by her husband in a fit of anger after the child was born, as it was clear that the child was not his. The man, regretful and in pain, sold the infant to a slave driver and told them they could do whatever they wanted with it. And the slave driver did just that, raising Tacitus until he was old enough to be sold as a slave. At the time of his first slave auction Tacitus was nameless, pastless and futureless and the only kind of life he knew was that of service.

Tacitus stayed a common slave his whole childhood and preteens, mostly working in noble houses carrying water or peeling potatoes. But as he hit puberty Tacitus' northern heritage became prominent in his great height, tough muscles and handsome features. He was sold off from many houses, because the daughters or wives of said places became much too interested in the attractive young man. And Tacitus, much lacking his own will, always answered expectations.
Then when Tacitus was nearing his 20th birthday, he caught the eye of a certain man in the slave market, who was the leader of a mercenary group, that fought anyone's war for the right coin. Tacitus was purchased by said man, his name was Alecius. He told Tacitus he was not a mere slave anymore, that he would be made into a warrior who was his own master. Tacitus, at the time still in slave mentality, merely nodded and followed Alecius away from the life of a slave.

For the next 10 years Tacitus spent with Alecius' mercenary group, learning the ways of a warrior and a free man. He gained a personality and a mean sword hand and created irreplaceable friends. The group named him Tacitus Spurius, which meant "silent bastard", as Tacitus was very much a man of few words. And although the years he spent with the group Tacitus felt empty. He yearned to be a part of something greater, to help people and be useful. Maybe it was a remnant from his slave mentality, maybe just part of his personality. But when Tacitus was 30 he left the mercenaries and joined the army as a foot soldier.

The empire was constantly in war, and Tacitus was welcomed to the army despite his questionable heritage. Tacitus, a very skilled warrior as he was, quickly climbed the ranks and achieved great things. He had land, riches and people at his fingertips. But ever the selfless man he rarely made use of his resources for himself and dedicated his life to helping and making lives better for everyone else. Tacitus was liked and loved everywhere, except the top.

Tacitus worked as a high-ranking officer for 20 years before he died on the battlefield. That death was something extraordinary.
Tacitus' last mission happened in England, as they were freeing one of the cities from barbarians. They succeeded in driving them out of the city, but the barbarians ran into a small ancient forest they had heavily fortified. Tacitus' scouts were struck down before they could cross the treeline. And Tacitus, as his last option, ordered his forces to set the forest in fire and smoke the barbarians out. The plan succeeded and the forest was burned to the ground, no tree was left standing. And Tacitus' forces defeated the barbarians and the ground was dyed red with blood. Unfortunately Tacitus, who was fighting together with his soldiers, was struck down by an arrow. He died, or so everyone thought. His body was buried, according to his wishes, where he fell. Tacitus was buried in the ashes of the ancient forest.
Tacitus stayed dead for almost a decade. But then the curse, that had been cast upon him by the spriggans of the ancient forest, kicked in. Tacitus rose from the ground in a new form, made entirely of wood. He looked around to see a field of young trees, growing from the ashes of the forest he burned down. And before him stood a spriggan, who explained what a grave sin Tacitus had committed. He had been too focused to live for people that he had been entirely blind to the world surrounding him. And thus Tacitus had burned down something irreplaceable, the home of many spriggans. The spriggan before him was the last one alive from all those spriggans, and they were now Tacitus' warden. Tacitus was cursed to live for the trees as a spriggan, and to suffer when they suffered. He was to watch over this land and forest until it reached at least half the glory it had had before Tacitus burned it down. Before that he could not leave this place.

Tacitus, with no choice but to accept this fate, used his newly gained abilities and together with his warden/ companion started his work. At first Tacitus did it out of duty, his mind wandering through the memories of his human life. But as he thought about his life Tacitus slowly realized how his life had been. Always serving selfish masters, who treated him like a tool. But as Tacitus helped plants grow he could hear their thank yous, could see their smiles and he felt like being on nature's side was worth it. Tacitus slowly grew fond of nature and his warden, and he became close with both. Eventually, after decades of work, Tacitus even fell in love with the spriggan who was there to guard him. And they fell in love with Tacitus as well.

But fate was cruel, and after 200 years of working on reviving the forest it reached half of its former glory. And with that Tacitus was free from his shackles. Unfortunately so was his companion, who started slowly dying. They had been meant to die along with the other spriggans, but the last of their life had been tied to Tacitus' curse. And now that his punishment was over so was their life. Tacitus wept as the first person he had ever loved, in this life or the last, became part of the earth once again.

Tacitus, now with no purpose and cursed and blessed with immortality, stayed in the forest for centuries. He protected it from harm and the forest grew to be even more glorious than its predecessor. Eventually other spriggans were drawn to it, and some even settled and lived there. Tacitus, though hesitant to leave his home, wished to see what the world had become. So he left his forest in the care and protection of the other spriggans and went on to travel the world.

Tacitus saw many places, and lived in many forests. He even went to the places he had resided in as a human, only to find them all foreign to him. No place he went felt like home, and Tacitus was starting to give up and return to his forest. But then he heard of a place named Manta Carlos and only recently founded Starlight academy, filled with creatures like him. Tacitus left for the island, and approached the head mistress Cordelia Moor. He explained his situation, telling her he was looking for his place in the world, and Cordelia Moor appointed his as a forester an caretaker of the island's forests. Tacitus accepted the position, and has been on the island ever since.
