A small group of boys roughhousing nearby bumped into her, causing her to drop her apple. She glowered at them, but they didn't even take notice of her. Shay huffed and stood with her book to get her apple and throw it away. She hated eating in the cafeteria. It was too noisy. Too many people.

"Hey Shay." He greeted her happily, his pocky stick almost seeming to defy gravity as it stayed in his mouth. "Yours?" He asked, holding up the apple. He soon realized it got filthy.
"M-maybe you don't want it back."

"Are you ok?"

She groaned and pushed away from him, holding her head and wobbling like she was drunk. The room was spinning. Where was she? She smelled something burning; felt like she was going to vomit.

"Okay, I really am fine now," her voice was stronger, clearer. Can we just get out of here? So many people."

"Anywhere you think'd be abandoned about now? People will be rushing back to class before long..."

The second mistake of the day that she made was what she said next.
"We could go to the forbidden forest." She was feeling... odd today. Angry. Shay was often angry, but the anger was different now. Colder. Harder. It had settled in her stomach and forced her to act out.
