Shirese canted her head, not exactly understanding what he meant. "...Do they? Who?" She crossed her arms behind her back, suddenly whispering "oh, me..." in a rather embarrassed sort of voice. She nodded softly in agreement, feeling chastised but still itching to move.

She tensed at his words, although she knew he hadn't meant for them to have that effect, skin slowly shimmering transparent. "Don't say that." Her face grew visible with the quiet words, hazel eyes shifting to the side. "Tell me I'm ugly and mean and dance around too much."

She didn't want him to like her, to have a connection with her. "...Every time someone says something mean like that, it seems like I see them every single day." She said, leaning back against the rock and looking up at him. "Otherwise... You'll just forget and I'll never see you again." She dug her toes in the dirt, knowing she was being childish but not really caring.

Truly, his mind had blanked out, Raphael's memory went balnk as he tried to figure out each word, but in turn, just could only say, "que?" This was going to be rough, not knowin gthe language was bad, but not understanding a sentence, especially in high schoool was bad.

His eyes peered to the sea, indulging himself in that instead of the phopah that he had just made. He was the type that usually didn't do this, but s omething had pushed him to do that. What?

She bit her lip, staring at a piece of ocean not too far away from his. She didn't know what he'd said, but she was pretty sure. "It's... Nothing important." She shrugged one shoulder, crossing her arms against the winds that were starting up again. It was probably good that he hadn't understood her, anyway. He'd probably have laughed or something...

"What song was that?" She asked, suddenly, eyes still on the horizon. "The one... A little bit ago."

"My mother...sung it to me when I was a baby. It was a spanish lullaby, one that goes...good...with the guitarra." His eyes looked down, wondering what she had said, but through the thought away from him.

"Umm...what...are your...hobbies?" He found out that asking questions was a nice way to form relationships when it

She chewed on her lip, shrugging one shoulder absent-mindedly. "I don't know... I have no hobbies. But... I like... Reading. About humans." She told him, voice quiet and thoughtful. She really didn't know, come to think of it. No one had ever asked that before... "I like to learn their history." Her eyes slipped to the path leading back to the school, a slight clue as to who she was talking about.

"And... Dancing. It is very soft; so complicated... Like katas made for two people; except... In kata, when you touch someone, it is to hurt them." She was looking off at the sea, her face a mask. "What do you like, Raphael? Besides music, I mean." She glanced over at him, lips twitching into a smile.

"I like...to be with...other people...I really..don't have any other hobbies." He looked down, quite afraid of what she would say. What did she mean by she studies humans. His eyes looked towards the sand, how still it was.

"I...also like to dance."
He just thought, forgettign that dancing was something that he very much loved in Ecuador.

Shirese nodded, slipping her feet into the lotus position. "I'm starting to think that so do I." She closed her eyes, the hint of a smile tugging at her pale lips. It was... Odd. She did not feel he was a threat in the slightest. She wouldn't even take her eyes off her teachers, afraid that they would try to hurt her; but him... She knew it wasn't smart to let her guard so far down, but she was having a wonderful time talking to him.

One eyelid slid open, hazel orb settling on him for just a moment before it was obscured again. "What sort of dancing?" She wondered, voice soft and rhythmic. "Are there any Ecuadorian dances?" She was pretty sure Sweden had its own special dances, but she'd never actually seen them.

"Yes. We have...flamenco." He smiled, hearing the trumpets in their high sopranos and the guitars strumming fast. The clam like marrocca's singing their song in the backgorund.

"Fast...very fast songs."

She grinned toothily, nodding her head slightly. "I think I have seen one before... Very beautiful." Her hands swirled in an simulacrum of the dancer's - if it wasn't perfect, it was nearly so. "I couldn't see her feet, though," she said when she'd finished the five second demonstration, a wistful note in her voice. "Her dress was too long..." She couldn't understand why anyone would wear a dress that went on even past the knee, but she had to admit it'd been very pretty. "Do you know any of them?"

"Yes...I do." He smiled, it was so long ago he had danced though, that when she had started to dance it had poured on many memories through him. It had been too long. He sighed, missing his homeland more.

"What...do you dance...to?"
