Her eyes widened in understanding, and she stood up, one hand lightly fingering the black rock. Well, that made more sense... "You're... The first person here who I can understand." She said it quietly, not entirely sure if he'd heard her or not.

"I don't know." She shook her head, one hand going up to pull at her hair thoughtfully. "I remember there was a tree in the office when they brought me in. I think it was for... Christmas. So almost a year, right?" She climbed back on the boulder, stepping into her sandals before flipping off again onto the sand. "When did you get here?"

"I am...as you say...new. I came from Ecuador two days ago." His eyes looked down, his accent was still thick and the sun didn't even affect him in the least. Raphael looked beyond the sea...and then everything was green. Green vision...no...

"I...my curse...it comes to me. All I can see is green.." HIs eyes turned from their regular brown color to their bright blue color. His powers were alive and taking over.

She frowned slightly, not entirely sure what he meant. His curse... His power? She realized that she didn't exactly know what it was, watching him carefully in case he suddenly spurted fire at her or something. "What is it? Can I help?" She asked, hoping there was something she could to to help him - he seemed rather worried.

The azul intensity flowing from within was like an ocean tide, his head looked down, wantitng nothing to happen. Green then colored, green then colored, and so forth, flickering.

Closing his eyes he found peace. "My...power...I see...through darkness. I see green all around." Raphael hated trying to explain his power, because he could not explain how he could see.

She watched his eyes, mentally willing them to cloud brown again. She didn't know at all what his power was, but she wanted to figure it out. Was it... Could he see things that were covered in darkness, even? Or... Could he see everything? She frowned, shaking her head slightly. "It must be odd, no one understanding." Or maybe it was just her that didn't understand... She sighed, chewing on the inside of her lips. That was most likely the case. "I suppose you cannot describe a sunset to a blind woman."

Raphael looked down as his powers continued. "I guess I should live with it...it has happened to much. I am ables to see the darknesses's with this...there are other times I am able to see through things. It never is...i don't knows the word for it."

He looked up at the sky, starting to sing a soothing hymn, almost as if she wasn't there. Raphael needed something to soothe him. The grey haired child sung, and his voice wasn't the greatest, and not the lowest either. He began to sing a spanish lullaby that his mother used to tell him.

She nodded, chewing on her lip. X-ray vision; wasn't that what people called it? At least, she thought so. "I'm afraid that this is one thing I don't understand... I was made with my powers; they're always switched on."

She thought she might have recognized the song; the memory was gnawing at the back of her head, just out of her reach. She whispered in Swedish for a few seconds, shaking her head and leaning back on her hands. She couldn't remember, and she was quite content to listen to him sing. He had a wonderful voice... She liked the language... Spanish. It was much better suited to song singing then Swedish or English, in her opinion.

He looked up and got up. "You must...think I am a fool. Singing...huh?" Raphael looked out at the sea. "So beautiful, yet so powerful the sea is." His eyes sparkled at the reflection of the ocean and the sun.

The flickering of the darkvision had gone away, "It has gone..."

She shook her head adamantly, eyes wide. "No... I don't think you're foolish. In fact, I am happy to hear it... I haven't heard singing in a very long time." She stood up, attempting to brush the sand off her legs with little success. She'd been sitting for a while, and she was itching for something to do; normally she would have had the attention span for just a few minutes of talking, but for some reason she'd gotten wrapped up in talking with Raphael.

She yawned, throwing her arms over her head in a surprisingly girlish motion. She was a little tired - it had been a few weeks since she'd slept, come to think of it - and the gentle waves and soft sunlight didn't do anything to help it. "It inspires me to try to be powerful, every time I see it." She didn't think he understood, but she didn't bother explaining, hopping back up the black boulder and taking a deep breath of the sea-smelling air.

"And the view's even better from up here." She offered, leaping off and turning a summersault in mid-air without noticing it. She landed on one foot, tucking the other under her like a flamingo. She'd become almost hyper the minute she'd stood up, and there really wasn't much she could to about.

He had not really known what she meant by that expression, nor did he understand why she had done what she had, the somersalt and all. He looked down, quite comfortable in his position. Raphael grew silent, his grey locks of hair flowing in the breeze against one another like wind chimes.

"Seems...someone likes to...move." He smiled, seeing the energy the chicos in Ecuador had as they strolled around him. He sighed and looked beyond. "A connection...with you." He just randomly mumbled things that were upon his heart.
