Swimming With The Stars

Mags felt more confident this time around than during her and Aria's first date. It had been a pretty hazy but otherworldly experience, and Mags occasionally still doubted if it had been a dream or reality. But what was clear in her mind was what had happened afterwards, her and Aria eating at a 24/7 buffet. Well, Mags had eaten and Aria had mostly nibbled some food. But during that time Mags had asked some questions on her mind and in a way had made her and Aria's situation clear. And Mags had asked the girl on a second date.
It had probably been because of the night or the high from dancing but Mags had been surprisingly bold. And she was happy about that, it was thanks to that that Mags was taking Aria out yet again tonight.

It had taken few weeks, but Mags had planned a pretty nice date in her opinion. It combined some of her favourite things, swimming and the night and good music. Originally Mags had wanted to keep the details of the date a secret, but going swimming at night probably wasn't something everyone wanted to do, so she had asked Aria if it was okay via text. Mags had chatted with Aria a lot via texting during these weeks. Outside being Mags' current crush Aria was a fun person and nice to talk to. Even if the two deemed that them dating wouldn't work Mags hoped they could at least stay friends.

Mags was waiting for Aria in front of her apartment, last time Aria had been the one to pick up Mags but this time it was her time to get picked up. Mags was a bit jealous that the girl could live alone, Mags had to live with a roommate and it was a big adjustment after living her life as the only child and having a whole big room to herself.
Mags had a bag packed by her side, a large beach bag with extra towels in case they got cold, some water and snacks(for herself and for Aria if she wanted to eat something), Bluetooth stereo and other miscellaneous things. As for clothes, Mags was much more casual than last time, wearing denim shorts, a black, loose t-shirt and sandals. Under the clothes Mags had her bikini already on, green and orange coloured. Her hair was up again, this time on a simple ponytail, and since they were going swimming Mags hadn't bothered with makeup. It would've washed away anyway.
Mags was all ready, both physically and mentally, now she just needed to wait for her date to arrive.

Mags had yet again bargained and threatened Abab to give her the control of her arm tonight, but Mags could tell the cranky demon was at his limit. He didn't like obeying anyone, and Mags was pushing his limits. But just in case Mags was determined to have a will of steel tonight, so Abab wouldn't be able to wrestle the control back. When Mags really set her mind to it she could best an Abab or two.

Seeing Aria walk out of the building door immediately lifted Mags' already high spirits, and she smiled happily as the girl approached. Being called a cutie made Mags feel flustered, but outside she just chuckled and put her free hand on her waist. The other one was holding the bag.
"Here I was hoping to impress you with my strength yet again, but you one upped me. How can I compete with a pocket dimension?"
Mags laughed a bit, she was of course joking, and she did a trick she really liked with this particular bag. She detached the long straps and reattached them so the bag became a backpack. Mags swung it to her back, and spread her now free arms with a grin.

"My arms are feeling a bit lonely now. Any chance you could fill them, beautiful?"
Now it was Mags' turn to wink, though she also chuckled because it felt a bit strange to say words like that. They weren't exactly cringe worthy, just not anything Mags was used to saying. Besides, Aria did look beautiful. More casual than last time, which made her look alluring in a whole new way. Somehow Mags felt like kissing Aria, but she held back for now. She didn't know how second dates worked, maybe kissing was too much.

Aria was just what Mags' arms needed, and the girl fit inside them perfectly. Well, at least in Mags' opinion. She smiled and also wrapped an arm around Aria's waist, just like she had done.
"Perfect."
Mags mused with a chuckle and with her free hand she swiped some of Aria's hair behind her ear, so Mags could see the girl's face better from this angle.

"That's good. Like i said, I could never compete with a pocket dimension, even less if it was warm and cuddly as well."
Mags snickered, and returned the squeeze Aria had given her. The way Aria looked into her eyes with that smile gave Mags butterflies, and she let out a small nervous chuckle as she blushed a bit.
"Feel free to use cuddliness as much as you want tonight. But I warn you, as soon as I equip the blanket in this bag I become super cuddly and you'll never be able to stop."
Mags said with a playful grin, giving Aria one more squeeze out of pure happiness.

Mags didn't really care much about what she or others wore normally, and even with Aria she was much more interested in the girl's face and gestures. But Mags did make a note that the dress the girl was wearing looked very nice on her. It looked rather easy to take off too, maybe Aria had her bathing suit under it...
Mags pulled her mind out of that area, because it was dangerously close to the gutter, and she didn't want to ruin the mood by disrespecting Aria with those kinds of thoughts.

"Date mastermind? Oh shucks, you flatter me. Keep going."
Mags joked and laughed, but right afterwards began to think of a serious answer. Well, the serious answer she came up with sounded kind of silly and cheesy and Mags said it with an embarrassed smile.
"Well, like you know, I love swimming, and I since you took me out to do what you loved I thought I could do the same for you. And I, uh, really thought that your eyes would look really beautiful if the night sky was reflected in them."
Mags' tone was sincere, she wasn't making it up or anything, and it also showed from how she blushed after voicing those words and turned away a bit.

"A great plan and good time, I'll make sure of that."
Mags said with confidence, and did a small fist pump of determination with her free arm before chuckling as well. Honestly Mags was glad that during this date she could be alone with Aria, in peace and quiet if they chose. Not that Mags disliked energetic and loud surroundings, but being alone like this gave Mags time to appreciate Aria's company in a different kind of way.

Mags didn't have time to see Aria's pleased expression, she was too busy being embarrassed, but when the other girl nudged Mags' chin back around Mags yet again looked into Aria's eyes. She was positively surprised to see that Aria wasn't laughing at her, rather she seemed happy. And that made Mags happy and she smiled, still bit embarrassed but her confidence returned.

Aria's words made Mags laugh, yes, she could feel that her cheeks were burning a bit. Mags couldn't help herself, and pressed a light kiss against Aria's temple(avoiding the horns again) before grinning down at the girl.
"Best case scenario, we'll get a free hot tub experience when I enter the water."
Mags said and snickered, giving Aria a small squeeze.
"I picked us a good spot, it's gonna take 15 minutes or so of walking, but walking with you is going to make the time just fly by."

It took a bit longer than 15 minutes to get to the spot Mags had chosen, but on the way she made some small talk, flirted a bit and made some good and bad jokes in her classic fashion. Jokes were always a gamble when it came to Mags, they were either great or fell flat on their face. But eventually the two arrived on the spot. It was near the pier, but far enough so it was isolated and there were few to no people around. It was surrounded by a small patch of forest, that had small paths all over, but the street lights were visible through the trees. And right by the beach there were smooth flat rocks, that bathed in sunlight all day. That meant they stayed nice and warm well into the night.

"Here we are, our little date spot. It has some people during the day, but now we have it basically to ourselves."
Mags smiled at Aria, and slid her arm off from around her. Instead she took Aria's hand in hers and led her over to the rocks. They were big and could easily fit the two of them. Mags let go of Aria's hand, opened her bag and in a swift movement spread a big blanket on the rock. She gestured to it.
"This rock is a literal hot seat. I hate to admit it but even my snuggles may lose to this rock's warmth. But to confirm that we first need to test it."
Mags chuckled, and set her bag down next to the blanket, sitting down on it. Mags held a hand out to Aria, beckoning for the girl to sit next to her.

The set of a romance movie. Guess the place kind of was like that, which was exactly why Mags had chosen it. Naturally there had been other options too, but this place had won over those because of the heat rocks.
"Oh yeah, there definitely isn't a camera crew anywhere around. By the way, if I suddenly yell "Cut" or "Action" then pay it no mind, it's just something I do."
Mags joked with a grin and winked, proceeding to lead the two of them over to the rocks.

Aria was pretty open to Mags' ideas and what she was doing and Mags appreciated that. She wanted to keep everything fairly simple and comfortable and not push the girl's limits, especially when Mags having a demon arm was already pushing it fairly lot. So it made Mags really happy that Aria snuggled up with her, and the kiss on the cheek made Mags smile like a huge idiot.
"That's great. Magdalene 1, warm rocks 0."
Mags chuckled, and used her thumb to softly stroke Aria's hand.
"I don't think I could even pay attention to anything else now even if I wanted to."
Mags said bit more softly and she just smiled while looking down at Aria
Mags was even tempted to just stay like this and not move, who needed swimming when you had a beautiful girl who wanted to be close to you and snuggle?

Well, naturally they couldn't stay like this, Aria was expecting swimming and that was what they'd do.
"Well yes, staying close is a must. Who knows when I need to pull you into a hug?"
Mags chuckled at the wink, and she used this moment to break their handhold and slip her arm around Aria's waist, pulling the girl a bit closer. If she allowed it, of course.
"Other than that, don't dive too much. Since at night you can't properly see if there are any obstacles. And let's stay close to the shore."
Those two were more serious advice, and it showed in Mags' tone, that wasn't all joking but normal now. And after giving her advice Mags smiled at Aria, lifting her brows.
"So, do you want to try and test the waters now?"
