"Mk, obviously it's eldritch based magics," he'd say worryingly, "its....y'know, hard to predict." They knew that better than most, the magic changed them in ways they were still trying to understand. "So, be careful," he'd put his other hand over hers.

He'd couldn't help but chuckle and smirk a tiny bit. "I don't know, your reactions make the surprise kisses worth it," he'd say, gently poking her cheek. "Its just so adorable," he'd chuckle and smile.

The bandaged boy would kiss the cheek. "Anyways, magic aside, we also have mundane stuff to plan and do," he'd say, "like...y'know...maybe talking about us?...Planning dates? Like I said, can't just stay in your room all the time, gotta do normal teenager stuff too."

Michi let out a giggle at Rowan poking her cheek, again retorting with a childish tone. "You're such a bully," she said, laughing before it quietly died down as her mind focused on his caution. She hummed in agreement at Rowan's comment regarding the spell. Her eyes fell to their hands, her's all gloved and concealing the dangers she was slowly facing on her own. She wasn't going to let him know about it just yet. Raising her head, she gave him a tight smile, trying to assure him she'd be fine. "Don't worry. I've had a pretty good teacher," she told him, rather confidently. The moment of confidence though, would have wavered pretty quickly as Rowan redirected their conversation. She laughed nervously. "Well, I don't really mind going out every so often," she said, eyes straying to her research for a moment. It wouldn't do much harm, right? Plus. Maybe taking some breaks might slow down... er... the side effects. "There's some arcades downtown, right?" A pause. "Is there anything going on in the city? I'd been really out of the loop since all this."

He'd chuckle. "Yes, but I'm a charming bully," he enjoyed their banter, their fun conversations. "I bully with compliments," he'd poke her cheek again, "like how I think you're incredibly beautiful." He liked making blush, it was cute.

Rowan would follow her eyes to her hands, his fingers playing with the gloves. "You'll have to introduce me to your teacher sometime," he was both curious and a little worried about who she could be learning from. "Maybe they can teach me a thing or two."

The bandaged boy would smile. "Hon, we love on a magic island, there's always something going on." He'd nod, "but yeah there's arcades, some that implement magic into their custom games, we could go to one," he'd give her hand a squeeze. "Plus cool magic restaurants, that I'd love to take my gorgeous home to for dates."

Michi puffed her cheeks right as Rowan poked on side, trying not to get too swept up with his teasing even though she could never hide the pink tink on her cheeks. It was never really something she could hide anyway -- she was told more than a few times she blushed really easily no matter the cause. At the mention of her teacher, she brightened up. She wasn't quite sure if they'd get along, but knowing their similar traits, perhaps it wouldn't be too bad. "Oh of course! I'll bring it up to her one time -- I'm sure you two would have a lot to talk about." Well, she wasn't 100% on the 'a lot to talk about' but they'd surely have something to talk about. Michi caught him playing with the gloves, feeling slightly anxious about him pulling on them and revealing the secret, she decided to entwine her fingers with his hoping that would keep him from tugging on the fabric and getting too curious. "Magic video games? Would be curious how that goes like," she said, moving the conversation forward. "Have you tried any of them yet? I haven't had much time to play since I'd been doing my magic practice ritually."

He'd smile when their fingers entwined, he'd give her hands a gentle squeeze. "Mhm, they look cool, but haven't played any yet," he'd say, "I saw them in one of the malls in the city while I was grabbing a few things.'

"I wanted to save it for one of our dates," which they hadn't gone on many, so he was trying to change that. "So, you, me, ice cream and video games?" he'd suggest with a smile.

"After that we can even go by a book store, see if they have any books on magic you want," he was hoping that the offer would win her over.

Michi smiled, though it didn't quite reach her eyes, but she smiled nonetheless. "Sounds like a date," she replied. She supposes a break wouldn't hurt -- besides, if she was supposed to be dating Rowan, she should probably set more time for actual dates instead of visits to each other's dorm room. She seemed to perk up at the mention of getting magic books along the way, and her mind simply wandered to getting some more magic tools. "That's perfect!" she chirped, very much interested in the idea until she remembered her mentor's warning. No magic inks or any of that, Adelaida's voice rung in her memories, echoed by a chorus of whispers. Right, right. She guesses she should just settle herself with magic books for now. "So um. I can free up time..." she bit her lip, "Well I guess we'll have class and stuff. How about next weekend?"

"Next weekend sounds perfect," he'd say with a smile, he didn't expect her to just drop everything today to do it. "We'll figure out a time a little later," he'd wrap his arms around her in a hug, giving her a quick kiss.

"Anyways, want me to leave you to your studies?" he'd ask with a chuckle. "If you want I can get us some dinner for later tonight," he had a job now so he had more extra money than the others.

"Maybe a pizza?" he'd suggest, "or there's this nice Japanese restaurant I saw the other day we could try."

Michi made herself comfortable in the hug for a moment, thankful that Rowan was such an understanding friend... er, boyfriend. Right. If she was going to be honest, she wasn't sure where the difference was aside from Rowan being slightly more affectionate. It was too bad she was never one to be overly affectionate to initiate it herself. She was lost in her thoughts for a moment, almost missing Rowan's question about letting her continue her studies on her own, if the voices in her head were any noisier. "Oh um," a pause. "Well I do still have something to finish to day so if that's okay with you, I kinda wanna wrap that up first." she told him rather meekly. Normally, she waited for Rowan to leave on his own, but she was more particular about wrapping up each study period properly with her magic studies. "Dinner would be nice though," she quickly added, deciding it could be her reward for completing her assignment for the day. Plus, she could make up to Rowan since she'd been so busy these days they hardly hard time to even hang out. "I'm in the mood for Japanese so I'll try my best to finish up as fast as I can. How about stop by back here later? Til what time is the restaurant open?"

"That sounds perfect he'd say with a smile," giving her a peck on the cheek. "I'll come by then, I know the perfect place." He knew she probably didn't remember, but he'd tried to her to this restaurant a couple of times now.

Giving her hands a gentle squeeze he'd step away, with a smile before taking his leave. Happy that he could potentially get a good date with her.
