Soren had a surprise, a gift for his girlfriend, something he knew she'd love. Something she'd go crazy for, ok maybe not crazy, but she'll be surprised.

So the young half angel moved through the halls of the dorms, a medium box in his arms, his turquoise eyes shinning with excitement.

Finally he came to the dorm, he'd come here numerous times, to visit to spend time with the girl he loves. Setting the box down, he knocked on the door.

Elizabeth was reading. Nothing new there. She was sat on her bed, wrapped in her duvet, surrounded by pillows and sipping a cup of hot chocolate while losing herself to the first in a new (and particularly interesting) series of novels. Being as engrossed in the book as she was, it took her a few seconds to realise that someone had knocked on the door of her dorm. A look of surprise crossed her face as she stood and opened the door, fading to a smile as she saw her boyfriend Soren standing there. "Hey there angel boy." She leaned in to kiss him but was poked in the stomach by the corner of a box he was carrying. "What's in the box?"

The young nephilim smiled brightly as the door opened, "hey beautiful," gently holding the box to the side he quickly stole a kiss from her. "Box? What box?" he said with a grin as he slipped into her dorm, "I see no box."

He gently set the box on the table, "just thought I'd come by, visit my hot girlfriend," he turned to her with a small smirk. "Thought maybe I could make you dinner," he said moving close and gently poking her, "got some new recipes."

Obviously he was playfully avoiding the box for now, said box had holes on top and occasionally small sounds could be heard from it.

"Soren, what are you talking about? The box is literally right there you have you're hand on it-" Liz kept trying to dodge around him to get to the box, she was really curious to know what was in there! She grinned at him "your awful evasion tactics and flattery wont work on me angel boy now let me see wha-" There was a noise coming from the box. She had quietened to listen. It almost sounded like a... meow? Elizabeth looked up at Soren, wondering if she had been correct. Her eyes grew wide as she demanded "Soren Haine you open that box right now!"

Soren grinned and laughed at his girlfriend, "ok then." He stole a quick kiss and stepped over to the box, "you know how much I love you right?" he asked with a coy smile.

Carefully opening the box, he reached into the box, "close your eyes." He waited for her to close her eyes, before lifting a pure white, fluffy kitten from the box.

"Keep them closed," he said stepping in front of her. Instead of telling her, he decided to just stand there, petting the kitten, knowing she'll get slightly annoyed and open them.

Elizabeth glanced at him suspiciously for a moment. If this was some kind of practical joke... Reluctantly she closed her eyes, resisting the urge to peak out. Nothing happened. "Soren... if there even anything in that box. Is this a joke." She waited a few seconds longer before she opened one eye to see what was going on. Elizabeth gasped and opened her eyes properly "is that... where did you get them from?" She reached out to hold the kitten, snuggling him up to her chest and looking up at Sorem, a huge grin on her face.

Smiling, he stepped forward and wrapped his arms around her, "got him at an adoption center for you." Leaning in, he kissed her, "I knew you'd like him," he gently scratched the cat behind his ears. "He's about like a little snowball," he looked back at Liz with a smile.

"I had been thinking about getting you a pet," he loved getting her things, this kitten was a special gift though. "We'll have to think of a name for him," he kissed her again and looked down at the cat.

"I'm terrible at naming things," he hummed in thought. "Got any ideas?" he asked his girlfriend.

Elizabeth couldn't stop smiling and laughing quietly, even when Soren leant in to kiss her. He was such a playful ball of fluff, he kept trying to climb up her arms. When asked about names she held the kitten out in front of her, looking into his eyes. She laughed a little "you know, he's almost the same shade as your hair, maybe we should name him Soren Jr." She laughed again "No? okay what about... Raphael. He's an angel of healing." Grinning at Soren she hugged the kitten back close, kissing him on his head, before setting him down to let him explore her dorm, making sure the door was closed first.
