Surprise Visit

The aura incident hadn't been pleasant to say the least. She'd had a panic attack but more than that the fact that the aura affected her so much had been deeply troubling. The fact that she could be controlled like that was disturbing to say the least.

So she'd been staying in her room a lot the last few days, not that there was all that much do with the snow storm still going on. She'd try reading and knitting but her mind kept returning to the incident. The memory of it playing through her head.

Then she heard a knock on the door. Standing from her bed she'd go to open the door. Hesitating she'd summon her new staff just in case before opening the door open a crack and peaking out. "Eva?" she'd ask, smiling a little and opening it the rest of the way, "hey, uh, come in." She'd step aside to let her enter, the cat shifter was dressed in simple shorts and a t-shirt today, she hadn't felt like dressing up, plus she had no plans of going outside today.

She briefly froze when the incident was brought up, then she'd slowly close the door. "I'm fine....I just...," she'd sigh, "...let me get us some tea." Stepping into the little kitchenette she'd pour them each a mug of the hot drink, returning she'd offer Eva one.

"I...well....," she'd take a sip of her tea, looking down into her mug for a bit, thinking. "Mind based magics....I don't...deal with them well," she'd finally say, taking a seat on her bed and setting her mug in her nightstands. "And...auras...usually people can't turn them off..," she didn't blame the guy really.

The young cat shifter rubbed her arm a bit. "So yeah...I didn't react well..," a panic attack, with a friend walking her partway out, her siblings having to come to help her home.

"The guy put on a power bracelet when he realized what was happening," she'd rub her arm, letting out a shaky breath, "so..yeah...at least he did that." She imagined some wouldn't bother doing that and would just leave the aura on.

She'd hum in thought, "so...yeah..that happened," the cat shifter looked down at the floor. "I hate how much of an idiot I am when it comes to things like that," one of her cat ears twitched slightly, hee tail doing the same.

"I fucking hate being like this," being afraid of something so common was a bit nerve wracking at times. "You'd think I'd be used to all this shit by now."

She remembered her mother, the things she'd done using those mind abilities. It was where her phobia had come from, things she had remembered, memories that had returned not that long ago.

"It's a pain in the ass," she'd say with a snort, taking a sip of her tea. "I've been looking at charms to block that kind of abilities, bracelets that you put on to shield you," they were expensive, if only she could get a job to help save up money faster.

Finishing her tea she'd set her empty mug aside. "Man, bet I sound like a whinny bitch right now," she'd sigh, "well uh...thanks for listening Eva," she'd give her a small grateful smile.
