Private Surprise Meetings

Casey was actually not doing as much as they would have had their eyes been out. Just getting a feel for the strange new items in this community centre while there were no people around to distract them. Letting. the vines have a bit of a rest.

The button box was of little interest while they could not see, but the table of levers had potential. However, Casey was interrupted before he could do more than turn a couple knobs.

"Who me? " Casey asked, sniffing the air. This new person's scent reminded them of home, but the voice was unfamiliar. "I haven't done anything yet. Who are you anyway? You live here?"

Casey continued to feel their way around the table, turning the knobs as they went, while also listening to what they were pretty sure was another dragon. "Not exactly planning, no. As you can probably tell," they said with a cheerful grin, "I can't see a thing right now."

"And I have no idea what this table? is for." Brushing their hands off on their pants, Casey walked in Eein's direction. "Anyways, Eein was it? I'd shake your hand.. but I'd probably miss. Casey Rowan at your service. Hmm.. Probably just visiting. We only arrived recently. I don't even know if anyone else has come to this centre. Actually, I thought there'd be more people here with this island being so big."

Still puzzling over the familiar scent, Casey tilted their head, a finger to their lips in thought. "Have you lived here long?"

"Aha! A game - that would explain hmm.." Seemingly forgetting Eein for a moment, Casey stepped back to the foosball table, laying their hand on the edge of it. They then felt their way to one end, testing out the levers on either side. "For two players? I feel like there's a piece I'm missing... But I will figure this out. The T V would be the box of buttons yes? That will just have to wait then. Okay. My curiousity has been satisfied - almost."

Casey then turned back towards Eein, an ear pointed in his direction rather than facing him straight on. "Another world, yes - You have heard about the large tree appearing? I imagine that is not a usual occurrence even here? That is where I live. And someone did come to explain things to everyone, but there were a lot of us. I found it easier to explore on my own. Which is why it is odd that you smell so familiar..."

"Kid?" Casey smirked, "Either you're saying I look amazing for my age.. or you're calling me short. Should I be insulted? You don't sound that old. And I don't just take random things apart. Like I said, I was exploring." They clearly were not offended at all.

"Refugees? Is that what we're being called? hmmm. I suppose it's not wrong. " Casey shrugged. "I never thought of myself that way, but maybe someone older. And I've already given you my name. I don't know what else to tell you. I'm assuming I don't look familiar as well? Maybe it's because we're both dragons? You.. are a dragon, yes?"

"Old enough that I've lost count. Definitely older than I look. Though I wouldn't say I look like a kid just because I'm short. I make up for my lack of height with personality." They grin and fluff their hair a bit. "Anyway I'm 200-ish maybe. How old are you? I'm guessing you're not an adult if you do look your age, not that I can tell."

Casey tilted their head the other way, sniffed once more, then shifted into their dragon form. They took a couple steps toward Eein, then sat back on their haunches and squeaked at him a couple times. "Hmm.. Well that told me nothing I didn't already know. But half nature dragon. That could be the smell. I'm all nature... We should go outside. I want to see what you look like." They were curious now, and they weren't one to let a puzzle go.
