Subtle Visiting

Faye wasn't exactly sure how to take Shinji. She thought she felt something that day in the cafe, but she wasn't really sure now. She knew he must be in a lot of pain and that she would most likely be acting the same way, but if she were the one in his place she'd be dead. If she hadn't gotten between them, he'd be dead too though, or so she thought. Either way it wasn't a win-win situation.

Faye just remember that it had been four or so days that Shinji had been in the hospital. It's been four days, that you have been asleep. I didn't think you would actually wake up today honestly, but I hoped you would. I knew you were okay though."

She watched Shinji and all of a sudden it seem as if his mood had changed. What happened in the last few minutes that had brightened his mood? Obviously not the mention of Dante. He told her that he didn't mind her company, but wouldn't stop her from going if she wanted. And in the next second it was as if his blue eyes had brightened, the same blue eyes that had drawn her in that day. She looked at him and wondered if her blue eyes brightened the same.

"I think I'll stay."

Shinji sat up in his bed still healing. His grin changed into a smile of sorts and he didn't let that one go for a while. He was feeling actually quite fine emotionally. Physically, though, he was still in quite some pain. But he didn't mind it. He had way too much confidence in his healing abilities to be able to be so down because he was hurt by some man vs wild impersonator. His moved his abdominal area slowly every few minutes though letting the sound of rubbing skin and muscle tissue creep through the air of the room. He knew that it may sound disgusting but it was necessary so that he wouldn't end up so stiff when he was fully healed and able to do things solely for himself. his wasn't the first time he ended up with serious injury like this so he knew all too well how to get ready for his full recovery. It would be hard and even painful to move if he didn't kind of stretch or work out his body after something like this, he knew it hurt as well but "If he could take it then he could make it." That was his favorite phrase for the longest time ever. He heard it on television once and it inspired him more than anyone could ever know.

Shinji's expression changed. He went from pretty up beat to more surprised and a little upset. "Four days..." he said low and under his breathe. he was quite shocked to know this since he had never been out cold for so long due to such an injury. but this injury was pretty bad and basically worse than anything else he had endured, even just by a little. "Well that was an unexpected turn of events for me to hear. he must have hit me pretty hard, huh? Maybe next time I should think about putting up a defense instead of just thinking without using my head." Shinji was being pretty optimistic about his injury despite everything he should have been mad about. His surprised expression changed back to his normal grinning face just as fast as it had changed before. he wasn't really the person to act as the pessimist in the world so he was almost always happy or in a good mood.

Shinji's mood ind of went up even further when he found that she would stay. He felt like she was warming up to him. he knew that this was just a get well kind of visit but he couldn't help but to feel better about it. He didn't have too many friends on this island due to his lack of moving around the island enough so he was glad to see that someone was interested in talking to him even if they were just trying to make sure he didn't die due to her potential boyfriend's possession issues. Come to think of it, Shinji had never asked if they were actually going out with one another. He wouldn't be able to understand how she was able to put up with someone like that. It really baffled him, but that was a conversation for another time.

Faye watched as he processed how many days he had been out. A defense? What on Earth was Shinji talking about? She decided to look past it, now wasn't the time to talk about it.

"Dante's gone now. I don't know what happened to him. But he was basically just a stranger to me too. We were going for a cup of coffee." She felt like she had to tell him that much.

Faye suddenly felt as if the room were closing in on her, she had to get air. She had stayed many hours, and she felt bad that she needed to go, but if she stayed her mood was bound to change quickly. She had no idea why this happened to her.

"I'm sorry, I need to get some air," Faye apologized. She grabbed a piece of paper and a pen. She scribbled down her number and address. "Call or text or something if you want."

And with that she walked quickly across the room and out the door. She couldn't go home yet, she needed fresh air. He probably thought she was strange, but she was who she was. That was something she could never really change.

Shinji sat in his bed. He was confused as he sat there thinking about everything that had happened over the course of the last few weeks. What was he doing? He has changed quite a bit since he first got to this island. He was more quite before hand but now he seemed to be finding a whole other side to himself. First it was the confrontation with that kid on the roof and now he both fought someone and risked his life to save a girl he didn't even know. What was he doing now? He is wasting away in a hospital for a bit while his healing takes care of his wounds slowly but surely. He baffled himself the more he thought about it but now he had brought something new into his mind. "Faye"

She was quite the different character. She was to herself and very careful in her demeanor. It was noticeable to Shinji from the way she acted. Though she was cute, nice, and thoughtful, she still had much to uncover both for herself and the general public/society. It seemed that she didn't even know herself. There was something different about her, Shinji could even tell. But what caught him was her random leaving. Where was she off to in such a hurry? She seemed as if she had forgot something dire to the point of death if it wasn't taken care of. maybe it had something to do with Dante? Who knows now. Well on the bright side of all this, Shinji was luck enough to get her number and address before she left. Even though he didn't ask, he wanted to get to know her more anyways. Now all that's left is to heal. That should be easy enough, right?
