He'd walk along, snow crunching under his boots, his breath fogging in the winter air. Beside him was the odd, but surprising pleasant demon girl he'd met. "So....uh....thanks for coming," he'd say with a small smile.

"I know this....isn't really a normal hangout activity," he'd say, rubbing the back of his head. "Uh..I did bring hot chocolate and snacks though," he was admittedly a little rusty when it came to just hanging out.

Once their destination came into view he'd point it out. It was an abandoned house, or rather what was left of one. Had three brick walls, a stone floor and no roof. "I uh...come here when I need to vent, it helps, and....I don't know...though maybe having someone to talk to might help a little." @Abbysaurus

"Oh, trust me, I know all about burning stuff to vent." Malicia said cheerily as she walked alongside him, her hands shoved into her pockets. "I used to do it a lot more back home, but it seems like it's a lot more dangerous here."
"So, anything in particular you wanna talk about?" She asked, looking around the abandoned house as they walked in with clear interest.

He'd stop, thinking about the question. "Fuck....there's so much," he'd say with a sigh before contact to walk. "So much happening....," he'd run his hands through his hair with a slightly bitter laugh.

Rowan would step into the abandoned house, some of the walls had scorch marks from previous visits. "So, you're pretty new to the island he'd ask?" he'd ask, "you liking it so far?"

The bandaged boy would form a small ball or flame, keeping it floating just above his hand he'd fling it against the wall. "I've been....here...man, almost a year already, doesn't feel like its been that long already."

"Yeah, just a few months" She replied. She wanted to try and go back to that question, to try and help him with what was bothering him, but by now she'd figured out that when someone starts asking different questions they don't usually want to answer the first one.

She traced her hands over some of the scorch marks, looking at them closely. "Yeah, only a few months here..." She repeated, quieter.

"A few months," he'd say with a thoughtful hum. "I know there's a lot to get used to, the people, all the magic, hell I'm still not really used to it." He'd sigh a little. "Sometimes it doesn't feel real, sometimes it's like a dream."

He'd toss another fireball into the corner, watching as it burnt out. "I haven't explored to much, but if you ever need any help I'm always around," pulling out a thermos he'd sip from it before offering it to her.

Rowan would notice her looking at the scorch marks. "Yeah....I've come here a lot," he'd say, looking and sounding a little embarrassed. "I know that...that that's kinda weird."

"The magic's easy enough to get a hang on for me, at least. It's a lot less intense up here than it is back home for me." She said, watching him toss the fireball against the wall. She didn't seem too disturbed the fireballs.

She took a sip from the thermos with a smile, thanking him before she glanced back over to the scorch mark from his last fireball. "Hey, would it be okay if I let out a little here too? It's hard not being able to do it the way I can at home."

"Yeah of course," he'd say with a nod, "you can make this your venting area too." He'd set the thermos to the side. "I guess we all have to do it sometime," he'd heard that venting could be quite healthy.

Raising his hand he'd let out a thin stream of fire, watching as it scorched his targeted wall. "It kinda......makes the voices go a little quieter for a bit," it didn't last long, but it was a nice reprieve all the same. "Plus it's....actually kinda fun."

Conjuring another fireball he'd make it float around him, he'd watch Mal do her thing for a bit.

"Awesome, thanks!" She focused on the wall before sending a bolt of lightning out from her eyes to the same spot that he'd thrown the fireball. She let out a satisfied sigh when she did before taking a deep breath and following it with a fireball from her own mouth.

"Man, it's nice to be able to do that. Everything's so fragile up here." She said, stretching her hands behind her head.

"That's cool," he'd say as she shot the lightning. "Didn't know you had electric eyes," he'd fling the fireball into the spot. "You could power a city," he'd say with a chuckle.

He'd nod. "Yeah, most things up here are easily damaged by magic," he'd form a baseball bat made from flame, striking the wall a few times before dropping it. "Y'know...we could start bring other things here, stuff to break and stuff," he'd suggest with a snicker.

Stepping to one of the walls he'd press his hands against is, conjuring fire, it'd coat the wall for a moment before burning out.

"Maybe once the school year's over we can bring all the school stuff we don't need any more and get rid of it out here." She suggested, standing back for the moment just to watch him use his flames.

"I heard that bonfires were a summer thing. I really wanna try doing it some time."
