At first, when Dark Crystal Academy had been uncovered. Its inhabitants frozen and forgotten in time. Celeste had thought it was weird, but wonderful too. She was actually happy for everyone involved, though she understood how it would affect everyone... How could it not? It had honestly seemed like the fairytale, Little Briar Rose, had come to life and the sleeping, and forgotten, castle had been brought back to life.
However, when there was an unknown surge in magical energy - which had affected the family to varying degrees, and then the appearance of an unknown island, a ghost island off the coast, followed by a day without sun, Celeste began to have a very uneasy feeling, a growing sense of foreboding and that something was not right... a feeling that was always there, constant and just below the surface.
In fact, the witch was beginning, despite trying to play down what was happening and reassure her children that everything would be fine, to feel an overwhelming need to know where her family was at all times. Even Roldan and his daughter, Iesha, were not free from her desire to make sure nothing bad was happening to them. She had even started calling her father and niece every few hours to check on them and make sure everyone was okay and safe.
"Iesha? Did you want another blanket, something to eat or some more tea?" Celeste asked her as she went around the house and mother henned each of her children, trying to keep herself occupied so that her own fears were kept at bay.
