Warlock sat quietly in one of the soft chairs that decorated the Admin's office. She rested her head against the wall and watched as person after person entered and exited the doors opposite her. She still couldn't quite grasp at what had happened before arriving here. It had all happened so fast...the smallest of ripple to cause the biggest of waves. Thinking she could handle it on her own, Warlock only found herself sprawled on her ass, staring up in a smoke-hazed sky.
'Eowyn Basford?' Warlock cringed at the sound of her chosen name. "Warlock," she corrected, slowly sitting up to see the Administrator staring at her through her glass window. Eowyn Basford was only a name she'd given herself she woke up in a strangers bed, in a strange house. At the time she thought it was best if she did not give her true name to the lovely couple who later on turned her into the government. The lady behind the desk raised her brow, giving her a rather skeptical look before correcting herself, 'sorry, Warlock. Please come up here, I need you to fill out this form.' Warlock rose from the chair, her long legs felt stiff from sitting, so it felt good to move about. She approached the desk, and reached out to take a look at the piece of paper the Admin lady showed her. A pen was pushed over to her hand, but Warlock did not pick it up. 'I just need you to put your name, date of birth and...' A sigh escaped War's lips as she skimmed over the symbols that covered the paper. None of it made any sense, it was like chicken scribble.
Thinking back to the government people she'd met, they all seemed to reassure her that everything would be fine. She didn't understand anything those guys gave her, the pieces of paper she threw in the bin later on. A waste really. "Sorry Miss but I do not understand what any of that says." Pushing the paper back, the Admin lady looked confused and was about to speak up when Warlock spoke, "I don't know how to read...or write for that matter." She scowled, annoyed at having to explain this to yet another person. Wasn't everything meant to have sought itself out?? The government people were not very helpful. 'Oh, well, I...if you give me a moment I'll help you out. I just got to quickly finish this up.' Warlock was backing away from the desk before the lady had even finished speaking, returning to her to once more marvel at the pathetic mess she'd gotten herself into...somehow.
