It had only been about a week since he had gone missing and he couldn't take it anymore. I mean sure he was a rock beast and sure he ran from a crime scene and as far as he knew the whole island hated him, but what was a small time to chat with people online going to do to him. He wasn't very aware that people knew he was missing due to the fact his mind was getting more and more cloudier everyday and he honestly thought that everyone cared so less about him that they would just forget and move on.

So he went to one of the only opened internet cafés and sat down at one of their free computers. Normally a cafés would not let such a beast in, but this was Manta Carlos we are talking about here, the most inclusive place on the planet earth. He looked silly as he typed away at the computer using both index fingers at the same time since his hands where pretty big. He didn't quite get the kick he wanted to get out of it but at least he was talking to people, at least he was still him self sort of. Of course Stefan types a few rash things out related to him self or things that might give it away but he thought everyone there would have taken it as a joke and just moved on, but in classic Stefan fashion things never seemed to go the way he wanted always due to his own emotions.

Angelo wasn't entirely sure what he was doing. Someone had claimed they were on the run from the cops. That someone might have been Stefan Srambad. Or, being realistic, that someone might have been someone who was fucking around.

Either way, Angelo was needed. If it was the latter, they were going to get a good long talking to about wasting police time and talking shit on the internet. If it was the former...

Well, Angelo didn't know. The entire case was weird. I am dead but I feel so alive, scratched in the pavement when everyone just said that Stefan was a pyromancer. Stefan might not even be alive. It might be a person who ate Stefan for all he knew.

The person he saw in front of him was not Stefan. They were.... a thing. Angelo knew enough to know that monster wasn't the politically correct way to think about them, but they were the size of a bear and made of stone.

Angelo made sure his bad was in full view as he stepped into the shop proper, flashing his badge briefly as he headed directly for the stone monster.

"I think we should be talking," Angelo said without any sort of introduction.

Well crap it was a cop and this cop was oddly familiar, he had been at the new years event and seemed to be the only one doing anything, at least thats how he remembered it. But in this stated of mind he couldn't remember any of it, Stefan didn't know what to do so he stood their for a moment. He opened his mouth to talk but he simply couldn't all that came out were sparks and crackling noises.

He didn't want any thing bad to happen and rather talk or try to talk out side where nothing could be damaged by the sparks or his giant body. He pointed to the door and made a hand talking gesture trying to tell Angelo that it would be best to do all of this stuff outside. He honestly probably wouldn't believe him on the out side deal but he really did want to corporate.

Even if Stefan sort of recognized (or might have, anyway) Angelo, Angelo sure as hell didn't recognize him. Not even close.

He did get the general idea of the gesture though. He wanted to go outside, which was... well, that was fine. Better than fine. Angelo could feel the manager of the cafe staring a hole in his back, so he was happy to oblige, gesturing towards the door.

"Alright, we'll talk outside then," Angelo said, considering the no funny business to be implied. Assuming the monster didn't try and dart away, Angelo was happy to escort him outside... and a bit off to the side of the entrance before turning to face him.

"I'm sure you can already guess why I'm here," Angelo said, folding his arms over his chest.

Stefan's head was twitching constantly as he watched and listened to what Angelo, silent crackles and sparks flew just staring at the officer. He slowly nodded after a while, it was hard to think and it was getting worse by the second. He just had the urge to pounce the man in front of him and not even because he was mad he just felt like it, he felt like he wanted to burst into flames and have as much fun as possible. But the better part of Stefan or what was left of it was stopping him or whatever he was now.

The nodding got faster and faster before he had to stop the nodding with his hands. With another twitch of his head he pointed at his mouth and shook his head trying to hint him at the fact that he couldn't speak.

The nodding could be described as weird if Angelo was being charitable, and creepy if he wasn't. That was probably discriminatory--it was probably a species trait--but there was only so much he could take. IT was just weird. A weird fiery rock monster that wasn't doing much in the way of talking.

"I'll need to see some ID," Angelo said, which was... well, not clear. Did it even have ID? Where could it even hide said ID? "If you actually are wanted by the police, raise your left hand. If you aren't, and you were just wasting police time in the middle of a major crisis, raise your right. That's your, not mine, for reference."

At the very least communicating with non-verbal species had been covered by the academy.

Do it, you know you wanna run, just do it and you can have your fun, if you show him your ID you'll go to jail or worse. These thoughts rang throughout Stefan's mind beckoning him to just run and get away from it all. To him this wasn't a bad idea either and he was starting to convince him self that this was what he was going to do. But then it hit him, if he went to jail they would surely have someway to turn him back, it was either now or never and he had to take action for his own good.

With the remaining bit of his sanity he thrusted a hand down near his right thigh ripping out the stone and a chunk of his pants where his pockets would be and handed it to Angelo still shaking, for a moment you could see the skin before the rock regrew. His wallet was surely in there as he had it on him when he turned into what ever he was now.

He was expecting a here you go officer or maybe a I don't have it on me. He wasn't expecting the creature to rip a chunk of itself off and hand it over. Angelo cringed as he reached out, gingerly accepting the chunk as if half expecting it would explode.

He supposed that it probably wouldn't. That kind of blatant criminal actions would be insanely stupid to do in the middle of the city, and would only get them arrested. If they were that kind of person, someone else probably would have caught them at some point.

Hopefully, anyway.

Angelo pried at the rock, spotting a chunk of material, and eventually it cracked apart, revealing a very tattered wallet. The entire situation was becoming odder by the second, but when he flipped it open--finding Stefan's ID--Angelo couldn't help but get even more confused.

Stefan Srambad wasn't supposed to be some kind of lava elemental.

"Alright," Angelo said, staring down at the ID for a moment longer than was probably necessary. "Okay, well, does this mean you'll come back to the station easily so we can figure out, uh, what's exactly going on?" Because something was definitely going on. Something Angelo didn't understand, and wasn't entirely clear he wanted to understand.

Deep breaths Stefan thought to him self as it was becoming increasingly harder and harder to keep still. He didn't know how to describe the feeling at all, the closest thing he could think of was that his brain felt itchy and that made no sense whatsoever. Yet he fought the feeling to just get on all fours and start running in circles.

He was relieved as Angelo spoke about taking him back to the station and also the burning feeling not to go to the station. He nodded violently and once again grabbed his head, but this time it was a little to hard and pulled off a chunk of the molten part of his face to reveal the side of his normal face briefly, eyes twitching all before getting once again covered up with the black rock.

Alright, things were definitely beyond Angelo's realm of experience. Definitely. What the kid needed--because good god, he was a kid, he wasn't even eighteen yet!--was someone who had experience.

Someone who had power nullification powers.

"You know what? Hold tight, I'm going to radio for someone who should be able to help you out here," Angelo said quickly, not giving Stefan time to figure things out as Angelo took a step to the side, pulling his radio up to his mouth.

"Officer Genovese, reporting in. I've got some kind of... lava... elemental? I'm pretty sure this is a power awakening situation, so could I get someone with nullification to my location ASAP?"

There was a short pause and then a crackle.

"Ten-four," a voice said. "Should be on site in four minutes."

Angelo dropped his radio back to his chest, glancing back to Stefan.

"You'll be fine. Wouldn't be the first time someone's gone all... rocky. We'll get someone here who has experience with this sort of thing and then we'll get you sorted out." And hopefully a damn explanation.
