"Things are certainly harder for younger workers. Part time workers are a dime a dozen, so many companies treat them quite poorly as a result. If a student isn't willing to work during the holidays, it's easy enough to find someone who will," Ignatius explained. He didn't hire much in the way of part time, so the woes of student life were a distant thought to him.

Oliver's reaction to his offer told him that he'd made the right choice, and Ignatius's smile widened, showing more teeth than he usually did. His teeth were sharp, closer to a sharks than a humans, and he tended to smile in ways that minimized how alarmingly inhuman they looked.

He figured Oliver wouldn't mind.

"Of course I mean it. I wouldn't have made the offer if I didn't. The house is largely empty of more long term residents, so it's simply me and the staff, with other people coming and going as they visit. Having one more wouldn't be any issue at all. It would be nice to have someone else around the house."

It would be as good for him as it would be Oliver, in other words.

This was exciting! He couldn’t believe he was receiving such a kind offer. It was better than being alone, at least. Besides, he would like to meet more of Ignatius’ family and meet shifters like him. Or just have a living space that’s larger than his tiny dorm.

He smiled brightly back up at Ignatius, as his own sharp-toothed grin was contagious.
”Yes!” He almost exclaimed, with great enthusiasm, though he did settle himself down with a mental scold. ”I mean... I’d really, really like that. Thank you so much, sir.” He gratified softly, in order to not seem too excitable. Even if they clearly were on good grounds, as indicated by his offer, Oliver still felt the need to give him his absolute best. Perhaps though, this getaway would be a chance for him to relax a bit, and not worry about his constant need to impress people. Still, this validity was more than welcome.

”I can try to get myself together as soon as everything is wrapped up at school.” He assured, still buzzing in excitement. So much so, that he almost forgot the purpose of this meet up in the first place. ”Oh, um, sir? Do you think we should order yet?” They had been here for a good few minutes, at least. He didn't want to be a hold up to anyone.

Ignatius continued smiling his toothy grin at Oliver's enthusiasm, amused to see the boy so clearly trying to hide it. He was fine with the enthusiasm, even if it wasn't professional. The meeting wasn't really business, after all, but instead something closer to a family meeting, even if he wasn't actually family.

Well, wasn't actually family yet. Ignatius had quite ruled out the idea of simply finding Oliver a place in his extended family tree.

"I'll have someone pick you up tonight if I'm not free. Let's say around seven?" Enough time for him to eat dinner and have time to pack without rushing, in theory.

At Oliver's mention of lunch he let out a little chuckle, nodding his head.

"That would probably be for the best, yes," he said, turning to flag down a waiter.
