So far, the talent search has proved rather… Unsuccessful. Whatever plans made when she touched down to earth hadn’t worked out that well, which left young soon-to-be pop sensation Vyxxyn out of serious work. On nights like this, Vyxxyn spent far too much time looking to the stars between gigs- it reminded her of how far she was from home.
Still, the concept of music seemed to transcend interstellar boundaries, as it was something many could appreciate. Vyxxyn counted her blessings on the fact that the small venues she had visited sold out on most fridays. Maybe their was something about her otherworldliness that brought something different to the music scene. Or maybe it was the fact that people wanted to pay to record a giant dog person play music to become YouTube famous.
Whatever reason, Vyxynn looked across the crowded nightclub to see a full house. It gave her hope that just maybe someone was watching that could take her to the top. For that reason she refused to have a bad night. Everything needed her 100%.
The giant alien sat at the stool of the piano, her fur transitioning to bathe itself in the same milky white found on the instrument. She had her own song ideas but for now, covers would familiarize herself with earthly culture. So, with the first keystroke, she began.
”You're so hypnotizing
Could you be the devil, could you be an angel
Your touch magnetizing
Feels like I'm floating, leaves my body glowing...”
Her sultry, low tone carried itself through the song. While she played, her worries seemed to dissipate. Her mind wasn’t on the crowd, nor the future. It was on the fingers tapping the keys and the voice coming from her chest.
”Boy, you're an alien
Your touch so foreign
It's supernatural
Extraterrestrial...”
The song wrapped up, and with its end came a round of applause. Of course, this was only one song in a line up to last until the true night, when date nights were over and party time began. Naturally, people began to file out. Vyxxyn stood at the end of her performance to take a bow to the dying crowd. A grin was plastered on her muzzle. Another performance a success. She climbed off stage to tower above the rest of the club to pack up her things. Time for another gig.
Or was it?
