Headmistress Cordelia Moore stood before the gathered crowd. Time seemed to fly by lately, and she smiled briefly to herself with the notion that she could have sworn she was just here giving the pre-graduation speech for last year. Ah well.

"Good morning. Friends, families, and loved ones. It is an honor to be standing here before you all on this day. To present to you the students who have worked so hard and done so much and are finally at the end of their journey. But life isn't like that. One journey ends and the next one immediately picks up. Graduates, perhaps you intend on going on to college, or maybe you have other plans now that you are no longer a student here at Starlight. Whatever the case may be, I know that you all will shine brightly in the world and do something amazing with the opportunities you have been given. Thank you all for your hard work, and congratulations on your achievements. Without further ado, I would like to present the graduating class of Starlight Academy for the 2018-2019 school year."

The headmistress began calling out names of the graduates, handing them their diplomas as they walked past with a hand shake and a few words of encouragement.

OoC: There is no post order here. This is a place where your graduating character can reflect on their life, the past year, the future. Whatever. Have fun!

It was not the school that Angelo had thought he'd graduate from. For almost his entire life, he'd felt like the direction of his life was planned for him. He was going to go to the private school his father had gone too, he'd graduate with honors, he'd go off to college for business, he'd take over the family company...

To say the least, a lot had changed. Almost all of that was gone, wiped away with the end of the world. Only a few of his old classmates had survived the end of the world, and even before that he'd lost his chance of walking the stage with them to graduate. It had been impossible with Giltenn on his arm, and with the world in so much peril.

So it felt truly surreal to be waiting to walk. To be surrounded by classmates. It had been an exhausting school year, but now it was over.

Maybe for good. Maybe forever.

He wasn't planning to go to college right then. Maybe one day. But with no family business to take over, he was free to do as he pleased.

As he pleased meant trying to do something more positive with his life. Something that more closely tracked with his last real job back at home. Scouting seemed to be that option, and everything he'd seen from the scouting program was really selling that.

"Angelo Genovese," someone called, and Angelo hopped to his feet, heading up on the stage.

He felt like his stomach was in his throat as he headed up the steps to accept his diploma.

It was over, even if it didn't feel like it.
