"Good boy."

He raised an eyebrow, and cocked his head ever so slightly. This girl was odd, it was very easy to tell, and she was annoying. He sighed a moment, then looked straight ahead a moment. When she spoke again, he just stared ahead.

"How boring. I thought you'd be a bit more interesting. I mean seriously, a human afraid of the light? It makes you sound like a pansy."

"Then I'm a pansy. I'm sorry I'm not like you, living out in that treacherous light, and making fun of people who fear daylight. Maybe I should just go and make fun of people who fear the dark." He snapped. He was normally calm and such, but he was getting a little to annoyed. He took a deep breath, to keep things from exploding.

"Possibly. What does it matter?"

"It doesn't." Nykolas hissed in a cold voice. His bright blue eyes darkened.

Lilith rolled her light green eyes at the boy, not understanding at all why he was getting so defensive over something so stupid. She couldn't care less if he feared the daylight, it was his weirdo problem, not hers. "Dude, I wasn't making fun of you, jeez. I was simply telling you that fearing the light might make you look like a pansy, not that you were one. Learn to listen. Go and make fun of whoever you want, it's not my problem."

"It doesn't."

The girl stared at the boy before her, still not understanding one bit what was with him. There was no reason for him to snap and hiss at her, she wasn't talking to him that way, so why was she talking to her like that? She found it quiet rude. With a small shrug, Lilith asked, "Then why did you ask?'

Rolling his eyes, he looked at some small rocks. He picked one up, and rubbed it between his fingers. It was smooth on one side, but the other was jagged slightly. He was getting tired of this girl, he was almost about to get up, and go to the academy and sleep, but then, facing the daylight the next day frightened him. Nykolas glanced over at her, but looked at the rock he was holding.

"Are you always this way?" He asked, though, it sounded like he was talking to himself. He had ignored what she had said, mainly because he didn't know how to answer to that.

"Then why did you ask?'

"No reason." He said, in a toneless voice.

"Are you always this way?"

Is she always this way? What the heck did Nykolas mean by 'this way'? Lilith wasn't sure if she should take his question as an insult or just a stupid comment made my a stupid boy. She stared at him, watching him rub some random rock he picked up for the ground. "What exactly is 'this way'?" The was the slightest hint of annoyence in her voice, but it was barely noticeable.

"No reason."

Lilith rolled her green at at the boy and ignored his comment. Besides the fact that his voice sounded so toneless, she knew he was never going to give heran actual answer, just some stupid one to get her to say something back. So instead, she just said nothing, for once, and grew a flower from the rock she was sitting on. It was small and a bight light blue with large green leaves. She'd invented the flower herself, so she had yet to name it.

"What exactly is 'this way'?"

Slowly, an amused smile fell over his face. "I suppose you wouldn't know, if you've never noticed how annoying you can get with your talking, and mean insulting ways." Nyk merely said, as if it was the most common thing to say. And he gave a light shrug. "But, I suppose that doesn't matter." He said, and then stood up to his full height, and stretched a moment. His back hurting slightly from sitting for a while. He leaned against the cliffside. The hard rocks quite uncomfortable.

For a moment or so, he stared at the flower she had made, and never seen the likes of it before. To him, though, he found it horrid. It was a lighter blue. He turned his gaze from it. A shiver went down his spine. He hated bright things, therefore, he didn't like the blue flower.

"I suppose you wouldn't know, if you've never noticed how annoying you can get with your talking, and mean insulting ways."

Lilith glared at Nykolas with annoyance and and a hint of anger, but yet it all went away quite quickly, being covered up up a small smile. She put a hand to her chest and began to tear (she was an expert in making herself cry out of the blue) "That is the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me. Thank you, Nykolas, I really appreciated it." Yes, what the boy had said was not a compliment at all in any way, but Lilith chose to take it like that. She knew she could be mean, insulting and annoying, but so could everyone else. And just because she was like that, didn't mean she was like that all the time. It all just depended on her mood, and since Nykolas annoyed her, she chose to be annoying, rude and mean.

"But, I suppose that doesn't matter."

The girl rolled her eyes and twirled her flower in between her fingers. "If it doesn't mater, then why bring it up, I mean honestly."

"That is the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me. Thank you, Nykolas, I really appreciated it."

He cocked in head, in a moments confusion, then shrugged slightly, for no reason. She was strange, and annoying... and weird... He ignored her at what she said, he didn't quite understand that, of what she said, mainly because he never been around people like her before, it was a little odd. All his life, he hid from the light, and never went out into society, if he could help it, only time he did was to find his older brother Fury, but even then he spoke to no one.

"If it doesn't mater, then why bring it up, I mean honestly."

"It just doesn't matter. Drop it." He said, annoyed at her. He restrained himself from snapping at her, and not to say an insult, already knowing what the result may lead to. Suddenly, a rock nearby exploded at his feet, shattering. He smirked slightly. He knew he said he would stop, but... she was annoying him, why couldn't he annoy her with the mini explosions?

"It just doesn't matter. Drop it."

Lilith glared at the boy. Who did he think he was? Just telling her to drop it, please. She would 'drop it' when she felt like it. She rolled her eyes at the boy, but when the sound of another exploding rock echoed through her eyes and made her twitch, and the way Nykolas had smirked because he knew she hated the rocks exploding, Lilith just couldn't keep it in anymore. If he was going to deliberately annoy her, then she'd do the exact same thing. And boy did she know what annoyed him. "Well what if I don't want to drop it? Huh? What are you gonna do then? Annoy me with those exploding little pebbles of yours? Wow, so annoying. Sure it may hurt me every time you do it but, then again, it's not like you care about that. And you most likely think you can annoy me with those pathetic explosions because I'm annoying you with my way of talking. Well boo-hoo for poor little Nykolas. You may be cute and whatnot but you're still a sad little dark boy. You can explode all the little pebbles you want because I don't give a frick on a stick anymore."

She took a few deep breaths, since talking so fast and nonstop for so long really took the wind out of her. She laid back on her elbows, twirling her blue flower with her thumb and index finger, waiting for a reply from Nykolas.

He was surprised a little with the girls outburst. And he stared at her, his bright blue eyes dulling slightly. She had called his explosions pathetic. He frowned a little at that part, then, after her outburst, a wide smiled creased his face. He was annoyed to death by her talking, and everything about her, it was terribly annoying, and it angered him, but he rarely got angry, and would never show it if he can help it. He kept a calm gaze, watching her, a smile still on his face.

"You done?... good. I don't care if you don't want to drop it. Go on, be annoying, talk and insult me all you want. I hope you have fun. And, maybe I don't care, I doubt you will ever know. And sad little dark boy? Thats a new one. But, I don't blame you for saying that. Its not every day people run into one whose afraid of the light. Though, I have to say, I'm not sad, there is nothing to be sad about, it might be better if you drop that, but, what does that matter if your annoying me? I could really careless right now." He said calmly.

"I'm glad you don't care anymore, because, I have to say, exploding rocks is fun, so is exploding other things. Explosions, are just so entertaining to watch." He said, just as calm, though, a crazed looking glint passed through his eyes. Then, rocks about him suddenly exploded, like firecrackers. As those exploded, his gaze never left Lilith.

"You know, when you floated down on that piece of rock, I even thought you would be kinder, and different from the rest of fools at this place, but no, wrong again, you are like the rest, pathetic, idiotic fools around this island." Nykolas said, slowly. Some anger flowed with his words, though, the calmness mixed with it, making it seem cold.

Lilith rolled her eyes at the boy and then fixed her gaze, glaring at him. "Hey, genoius, I wasn't talking about teary sad, I was talking about pathetic sad. As in, you are a pathetic little boy."

"I'm glad you don't care anymore, because, I have to say, exploding rocks is fun, so is exploding other things. Explosions, are just so entertaining to watch."

The nature lover's eye twitched as the brat said that. What in the world was wrong with him? "Oh, so watching homes getting destroyed and people dieing is entertaining for you? I thought you were just jerk. I wasn't expecting you to be a sadistic jerk." When Nykolas began to explode more and more rocks all around her, Lilith began wincing. A lot. A small explosion of a small rock didn't do her much, just made her tingle. But with bunches of rocks exploding at the same time, well that was a different story. And it hurt.

"You know, when you floated down on that piece of rock, I even thought you would be kinder, and different from the rest of fools at this place, but no, wrong again, you are like the rest, pathetic, idiotic fools around this island."

Lilith gave a low groan, ignoring the pain flowing through her body. "Really? Have you met everybody in the school?" She rolled her eyes once again, and scratched her arm, realizing it hurt slightly. When she looked down, she furrowed her eyebrows as she noticed a small circular bruise on her forearm. And then she noticed several more spread around both of her arms and legs. It was the reaction to so many mini explosions all at once. Nykolas would pay.
