Nykolas wander on the mountain, walking on the side of the cliff, on a small ridge. It was midnight, 12:01. The sky was dark, and the moon wasn't even shining, clouds covered the sky. Nyk was a dark figure stalking through the shadows. His hair blew when a brisk wind came by. Walking on the ridge was dangerous, and felt a little unsteady, but he didn't mind that he is risking his life walking along here, he could see better at night then day, mainly because the sun hurt his eyes.

Soon, he came to a larger ridge, that was much more sturdy. Here, Nykolas sat down, cross legged, and stared at the dark blanket of a starless sky. He picked up a small rock, threw it in the air, and it suddenly exploded, into tiny pieces and falling down the cliff side.

He felt calm out here, mainly because of the dark, he loved the dark, he loved nothing more then that. Though, the only reason he does, is his phobia of the sunlight. He continued to stare at the sky, letting the calmness flow through him.

Lilith sighed, kicking a few stones ahead of her as she wandered the dark night around the mountain. She took a look up at the dark sky, not seeing a single star, not even the north star, only the bright crescent moon to lead her way. Lilith didn't mind the dark at all, it was actually quite soothing. She'd try not to think of the possible things lurking about in the shadows, because that would only spoil her joy. But for now, everything was nice and quiet. Just perfect.

She hated perfect quiet. Especially alone in the dark. It was only a mere second or so later that Lilith let out a scream so loud she could hear it echo perfectly. She could hear several birds flapping away from the sudden disturbance and she just shrugged and continued on her way to nowhere. Lilith reached the edge of a tall cliff, and planted herself at the edge, her feet dangling over and leaning back on her hands. There was a soft cool breeze that felt quite refreshing. That was the kind of silence Lilith enjoyed, the kind where it wasn't too quiet, like horror movie quiet, but quiet like when you were doing a test or something.

But sadly her quiet was interrupted just as quickly as she had oh so recently interrupted the quiet of the birds. There was a small explosion of what sounded like rocks, and it sounded like it was directly below her. And she was right. About a good 70 feet or so was a ridge and sitting on that ridge was a person. At least, she thought it was a person, all she could clearly make out was the figure of something that looked most like a person. Well, she assumed that it was that figure which was exploding the rocks. Curious, and mainly bored, Lilith formed a large square stone at the edge of the cliff, sat on top of it, and directed it down slowly towards the figure, descending as if she was on an elevator.

Once she reached the shadowy figure, she remained sitting as she was and looked at the the strange figure. in a simple, curious yet demanding tone, she asked, "Were you throwing rocks?"

When he heard a noise, coming from above, he looked up, then away, and threw another rock, and it exploded once again, giving off a loud crack. Then, a girl came down, on a thing of rock, like a elevator. He cocked his head slightly. His piercing eyes staring at her, a little curious, but what was he to be curious about? Her powers? It couldn't be, he bet she had telekinesis or something similar, if she was able to come down on the rock like that.

"Were you throwing rocks?"

"I believe I was... you don't have a problem with that, do you?" He asked very calmly. He found nothing wrong with it. Mainly because he made them explode before they touched ground again. He looked away from her, and at the sky a moment, before returning his attention to her once more.

"I'm Nykolas." Nyk said.

"I believe I was... you don't have a problem with that, do you?"

Lilith cocked her head to the side slightly and stared at the boy. With a small shrug she asked"So what if I am? Why were you making them explode? The boy had thrown another rock earlier, as she descended, and, being as it had almost exploded right in her face, didn't enjoy the 'art' of blowing up rocks. It was quite dangerous. A flying chunk of rock could've easily ended up in hone of her beautiful green eyes.

"I'm Nykolas."

Lilith sat upright on her rock and crossed her arms over her chest and her left leg over her right. She looked at the boy up and down form head to toe and said, "Yes, i bet you are.. She let a few moments of silence pass before adding, "I'm Lilith."

"So what if I am? Why were you making them explode?

Nykolas rolled his eyes, and stared at the sky a moment, then turned to look at her. "I'm doing that, because I want to." He said, as if it was obvious. And he was doing because he wanted to, he found nothing wrong using his powers on small pebbles.

"Yes, i bet you are..

Nyk cocked his head, she seemed to amuse him, and amusement glinted in his blue eyes.

"I'm Lilith."

"Thats a nice name." He merely said, and looked back at the sky. "Why are you out this late at night?" He asked.

"I'm doing that, because I want to."

Because he wanted to? What kind of dumb answer was that? He probably thought he was all cool for saying that, but Lilith just found it a slight bit pathetic to give such an answer.Lilith simply rolled her eyes at the boy, not bothering with a response. Although secretly it was because she couldn't think of a suitable response for his reply, but she didn't show that.

"Thats a nice name."

Lilith gave a smug smile and said in a cocky tone, "Yes, I know it is." She didn't know why, but she knew she was acting in a jerk-ish sort of way, even if the boy didn't realize it, since Lilith could spy a hint of entertainment or amusement in his eyes, but she was.

"Why are you out this late at night?"

"Because I want to be," Lilith said with a small smirk. My god, was she flirting?! That was not like her at all, so why did she do it. Did she purposely quote his phrase in which she thought was so stupid? Talk about being a hypocrite."What's your excuse?"

"Yes, I know it is."

He cocked his head slightly, then smirked slightly. The girl sort of annoyed him, in the way she spoke and such, maybe it was just her replies to things, he didn't know. A couple small rocks near him, exploded, though, they just seemed to make a popping noise, and shatter.

"Because I want to be,"

He laughed silently. She was strange, well, thats what he thought of her.

"What's your excuse?"

"Mine? I'm afraid of daylight." He said, and just shivered at the thought of having to leave the perfect night to go to class in the morning. He found that the most frightening thing ever, to walk out into the light, leaving the safety of the darkness.

Wow, he sure was a great person to talk to...not. Lilith was getting slightly annoyed by the boy's constant cocking, it was like the only thing he knew to do. Her hands twitched slightly when a few more rocks suddenly popped into a million pieces. "Could you not do that, it'd be much appreciated."

"Mine? I'm afraid of daylight."

Was the boy joking? What kind of person feared the daylight? Talk about being a person of the dark. "Are you serious? What are you, a vampire or something? How do you even survive?" Lilith could just imagine the boy running around campus during the day with a giant poncho over his head to block the light. She snickered slightly, and leaned back on her elbows on the rock, staring at the boy.

"Could you not do that, it'd be much appreciated."

Nykolas smiled amusingly, though, he thought this girl terribly annoying in some ways, and he hated how she seemed a jerk, but he didn't really care much. "Very well." He said, resisting the urge to make more explode just to bug her, but he didn't, deciding against that.

"Are you serious? What are you, a vampire or something? How do you even survive?"

"Yes, I am serious, and no, I am not a vampire, I'm human. Surviving is fine for me in the dark." He snapped, an anger flashed in his bright blue eyes, but it was gone quickly, and to confusion when she snickered. "Do you find something funny?" He asked, already knowing what she found funny.

"Very well."

Lilith gave a small nod and smirk as the boy stopped his constant popping, though she was almost expecting him to do one last mini explosion just to annoy her. "Good boy." She knew what she had said made it sound like she was talking to a dog, but she didn't care, it wasn't like the guy was going to take it personally and have a fit or anything.

"Yes, I am serious, and no, I am not a vampire, I'm human. Surviving is fine for me in the dark."

The girl gave a long exaggerated sigh, saying, "How boring. I thought you'd be a bit more interesting. I mean seriously, a human afraid of the light? It makes you sound like a pansy." May not have been the right choice of words, but hey, Lilith gave it to Nykolas straight, just like everybody else.

"Do you find something funny?"

She cocked her eyebrow at him once again. Why did he care if she found something funny or not? She didn't say anything when he laughed, so why did he care if she laughed? Was he that vain to think she was snickering about him, even though she really was? "Possibly. What does it matter?"
