Staring out into the Future

Anisha looked out into the deep blue sea, and reflected on her life. She looked at her own self. Was she that ugly? She remembered her past life...the true hopes of love, the sadness, and the joy, the laughter....everything. What a life I have... thought Anisha. She picked up a nearby rock, and skipped it out into the glorious sea. These were the kinds of days she liked bets, cloudy, foggy, just like her life. She remembered Kush, she remembered Stephanie, she remembered her mother, the day, the day everything had happened.
How crushed she had felt!
Only if she could go back to her lfie a few years back, which had had Kush in it, her father, her greatest savior. Her form of life. After her father had died, everything had changed....
She started out into the sea, and looked. Was her father looking down at her? Was he smiling at her from the clouds? Telling her to be brave and move on?
She thought. She loved to think, being in solitude was what Anishaloved. After her whole life, after the age of 13 everything in her life had gone quiet. The talkative, open, and enthusaistic Anisha was gone, to be rarely ever brought out again. Now she was a girl in solitude, only living with a mask on her real self...

Caitlin saw a girl sitting all alone on the beach. She walked up and sat down nextto the girl. "Hi! I'm Caitlin. You ok?"

A familiar voice.
"Is she okay? Can you not read her face? She suffers from the same disease that you suffer, that all here suffer. Pain of the past and of things lost."
Judas Anderson shook his head sadly as he floated a few feet away, his eyes glowing.
"You girls really must learn of apathy."

Judas smiled.
"My point exactly! Angered and saddened so easily! And simply because I gave advice and easily understood this girl's pain. I may be mistaken but I believe you were quite recently crying over the same thing. Truly to leave one's home and all the joy and pain to go to the academy can be agonizing."

"There was no joy. Only pain and loss." She turned to face him. "Will you ever just leave me alone?!"

"How self-centered of you, indeed. I was here because the misery of this poor girl attracted my sympathy. How instinctually you speak, like some kind of forest creature. Come now, you hardly understand what apathy is, let alone true pain. True agony is feeling nothing."

Judas smiled at her, bowing with a flourish.
"Yes, I'm sure. The seashore brews memories of loss and pain for us all...My name is Judas Anderson. Pleased to meet you."
