Stakeout at Temptations [Temptations]

Xandar explained to her that it was...kissing, apparently a common human sign of affection. Weird that they would interlock the part of their face that was meant for eating food and speaking... Zoe looked back over the couples in the rest of the room... they seemed to be, enjoying it. Somewhere in the back of her processes, where she took pictures of amazing sunsets and collected stuffed animals, was a part of her that wondered what being kissed would be like.

Then she felt Xandar touch her cheek and in a way it turned her head to look at him again. He was an inch away from their lips touching, from there she could see hesitation in his eyes. While they were that close she realized that she was almost down to normal temperatures but not quite. To others unbeknownst to Zoe, she looked slightly flushed almost as if excited for something. They were right there...

Then he explained how he wasn't going to ask her to do that, but this seemed different then what Xandar had been doing before, though he would be flirty which caused a knee jerk reaction in her...for some reason. Up until this point he had been all for anything that would help them blend in. Now he was hesitating...why was that? She was curious about why he was avoiding it and decided she couldn't suppress her need to know. "Why wouldn't it be right? I understand that its a sign of affection between humans, but we are undercover. Would it not help solidify our cover if we did so?"

Zoe listned to him carefully and tried to understand his words. Why would she object to him kissing her while they were still undercover? Why would he not ask her to do this? It was confusing to her but she didn't question it as she considered what she wanted to do. So they stayed like that for a minute as she had to process the situation. But she came to a surprising conclusion.

Without saying anything she closed the rest of the distance and began kissing Xandar. While she had been processing something she had been needing to do is what was in a kiss...even still she was being kind of awkward seeing as she had never done this before.

For the first little bit there didn't seem to be any difference between touching their lips together and whatever this 'kissing' was. At least for Zoe, but then something changed in what Xandar was doing and there was a shift somehow in the atmosphere around Zoe. At first she was stiff and inorganic like she was a machine but when Xandar began to kiss her back something deep and buried in her programming activated and her body changed more organically and she was less stiff.

When Xandar broke their kiss he said that she was being rather bold before kissing her again but this time more gently and she couldn't help but close her eyes and deep down enjoy this action, it was something she had never done before. Back where she was hiding her frozen sunsets and the locations of her hidden stuffed animals in her rooms aboard her personal ship. She was starting to...enjoy, being more human.

When Xandar broke away he began to speak to Zoe and she couldn't hep but be confused as he began to talk more and more as to why she was here. With the change in the feel of the moment was fading and her body unconsciously began to stiffen and be more machine then person. "I don't understand..."

"...I've told you before haven't I?" She blinked still not understanding. "I was given the task of hunting down a Rouge AI, this is what I was built to do...I must protect the Corporation." Zoe's voice even seemed to alter and seem more robotic and scripted then having actual inflection and more natural tones. "I am choosing to serve the Corporation."

As Xandar insisted that what she was doing was not choosing something in her eyes sparked. Maybe a short, or just a metaphor but she had something in her mind as she thought of what she was going to do. "They Created me Xandar, without them I wouldn't exist. In a way...to use organic terms. They are my father...I must do what father says." Or be punished... it was left unsaid but her voice probably hinted at it.

"What about you Xandar, from what records I have access to. Are you not doing what they created you to do?" She still kept their faces rather close, to everyone around them it might look like the two of them were still in a close embrace. "I must do this, the Terminus Corporation requires this of me."
