She walked through the forest, the last week or so had been a bit hard on them, her emotions were swirling in her head, making thinking a bit hard at the moment. The young cat shifter had been walking through the woods for sometime, it seemed like a good way to clear her head, figure things out, try to sort through the mess that was her head.

The teenager would look around a bit as the woods took a slight shift in appearance, she didn't think much of it, seemed normal for different parts of it too look different. Then she saw it, her golden eyes widening at the sight of the dome, she hadn't expected to see a structure here.

Slowly she'd approach it, it was so odd, so unusual, she had no idea what it was. The cat girl would slip inside, her eyes looking over it all, it was beautiful in an odd exotic way. She'd look to the odd object toward the center, a pod, stepping to it she'd look in, and reaching out, she'd gently pick up one of the items within before putting it back. This was all unusual. @Nameless

The dome of interest was made up of strands that at first looked like blood, given its red coloration. It was anchored to a lot of trees, many of which bent slightly towards the dome as the webbing hardened and shrunk when it compacted to become a structurally sound pillar. It was large, about the same size as a two-story house without any inner walls. Above, hidden away by a ceiling of red webs, was the creator of this fine structure. She had six legs and two arms. The lower half resembled that of a spider, or an ant if one were to be picky and not count the arms as the 4th pair of limbs a spider has, but there was one undeniable feature to her, a spinneret that had multiple needles protruding slightly out of the main body. The lower body was mechanical, but the upper half of her looked human. The flesh was similar. Her eyes were red and betrayed the mechanical lenses that were her pupils. This machine, Farea, looked over the edge of the ceiling, feeling her webs disturbed by another animal. It was reaching into her pod. It could damage it even further. Anchoring a thread on the edge of her platform, Farea jumped down, slowly lowering herself with the use of her web. Six quiet, metallic clicks sounded behind the creature as Farea reached the bottom. She wasn't going to harm her or capture her, she just wanted to make sure nothing was damaged. Farea, over the months she had been in the forest, had ran into a couple of problems with some of the local wildlife, and so she looked worn down. Her synthetic skin had a number of cuts from claws of multiple creatures, and her clothing were tattered, showing more scars on her body.

Shiro was unaware of the danger above her, she was taken in by the surreal beauty of the dome and the odd items she'd found. If she'd been in her cat form she'd maybe picked up her hostile host's scent, or at least the scent of the alien metal she was composed of. Instead she'd continue to circle the pod, looking in, touching the trinkets within.

Occasionally she'd look around at the strange yet beautiful red material it was all made of, red like blood, but it wasn't blood, not at all. Humming in thought she'd gently poke of the red structures with a stick a few times, not quite brave enough to touch it with her hands.

Dropping the stick she'd turn back to the pod and gently pick up an item from it, a little metal figurine, simple but pretty. She'd turn the item over in her fingers, examining it's details before finally stepping away from the pod.

She had no intention of taking it, but she wanted to look at it under better light. So she'd step a bit closer to the opening and hold it into the light to get a good look.

Curious. The creature didn't notice her yet. Farea thought that she hadn't been registered a threat, and was allowed to observe the creature as she inspected one of Farea's belongings. Farea followed close behind, making as little nose as possible as the creature headed towards the exit. At this point, Farea was guarded. She didn't want to lose the device the creature was taking as it could help the android with a number of things. Not exactly knowing how, but she knew it was important for something. Distracted from thinking of how to secure the device without endangering the creature should it take off suddenly, Farea bumped into the creature in question. She backed away one stride and simply observed, as what she usually did with new experiences.

She'd stumble forward as she felt the bump, his hand instinctively gripping tighter on the figure. The cat girl would scurry to her feet, twisting around to look at the source of the bumping. Her eyes widened with fear at the site of the robotic spider, this must be her lair and she a simple cat child had stumbled onto it, unintentionally trespassed into the territory of said creature.

Trembling just a bit she'd slowly take a step back, her heart pounding through her chest, all her senses telling her she needed to go, that she needed to flee, that she needed to run as fast and as far away from this creature as she could. This robotic being could kill her, could just destroy her, she wasn't powerful, she couldn't fight.

So, she did the one thing she could do, she ran and she ran as hard as she could. She was fourteen and hadn't done any athletic training at all, most shifters would have thought to shift, go into their animal form for extra speed, unfortunately Shiro hadn't relied on said form in a long time for such things. So she ran in human form.

Farea looked at the creature as it finally noticed her. There was a strange expression on her face, similar to the first member if its species that found her. Interestingly enough the degree was much more intense. It backed away, and Farea turned her head slightly to get a better fix on the creature, her eyes adjusting to see any shift of the creature's posture that might mean something. And then it took off with her device. This simply wouldn't do. Farea followed quickly, her six legs skittering across the forest floor. She didn't do anything hasty as it might be doing something she hadn't experienced yet. Perhaps it was leading her somewhere, like a stash where she kept her collection, much like Farea. It'd be interesting to see what sort of collections these creatures kept. So she simply kept pace. She didn't try to outrun it neither did she fall behind. She learned from mistakes, if she was too far away, she could lose the creature, and she didn't want that when she could lose something important.

The trinket was quickly lost to the side, dropped into one of the many bushes and groupings of tall grass that she ran past and through. It wasn't important, she'd had no intention of taking it and now she was being driven by fear, fear the creature that now perused her. Her mind was blank, no thoughts, only instinct to flee the mechanical spider.

She'd pass between trees and rocks in an attempt to get away, moving through them as fast as she could. Most would have shifted for this, but she didn't use her cat form often, going into it wasn't instinct, she was more used to her human form. Her breathing quickly became haggard and she started to near her limit, she was an average teenager physically, she wasn't prepared.

Then she'd take a turn at some boulders and hit a dead end, she'd smack into a boulders, her shoulder hitting into it and bouncing her back. She'd rise from the ground, gripping her shoulder in pain, looking back her eyes would briefly turn cat-like, she was trapped now, boulders on all sides except the way she came, and her peruser would quickly block her escape.

Things were getting dangerous for the creature as it continued to run. Farea had an area where most dangerous wildlife avoid around her dome, but as the red webbing began being less and less abundant, the more prone they were to being inhabited by dangerous hunters. Fortunately, the creature she was following had cornered herself. Unfortunately it seemed like she hurt herself too. Farea slowly approached. She wanted to see the damage and if she would need to fix the creature as it could die if the injury was severe. She didn't know what caused it so the only thing to do was get a look for herself. The closer she got, the slower her pace, not wanting to be caught off-guard if the creature took swipes at her.

Her heart felt like it was going to beat out of her chest, she was going to die, this machine monster was going to kill her, this was it. She didn't want to die, no matter how many times she thought she did, she wanted to live, fix her life, spend time with her siblings, she didn't want to die, not yet, not like this.

She felt the robotic claws grab her, as the being began to pull and drag her, no she couldn't die like this. Her instincts kicked her, her eyes turned fully cat, suddenly she had fur and claws and fangs as shifted. It'd been a long time since she'd shifted into a werecat, a very long time, but instinct had taken over.

The werecat roared a shrill roar, her claws lashing out, it wanted, needed to tear through the metal creature. It needed to survive, to live, as per her animal instincts.

Farea immediately sensed danger when the creature turned into something else. She had observed smaller creatures turn into something different, like the long, fat green ones turning thinner and getting wings. However, that took days. This happened within seconds. From the warnings in her systems, she needed to defend herself. Farea hopped to the side, her legs clinging to the wall as she tried to scale the rocks to get away from the beast. As she did so, she sprayed a generous amount of her red webbing, liquefied, however it would soon turn sticky. It was much safer than spraying out threads where the creature could simply drag her along should it run. It could have been that strong.
