The purple robot watched the human's fingers as she brought them up gently, and yet....?
Maybe the human was to tap on something, thereby creating a thumping sound. But where? On the strange dark cases everywhere? The hard wood of the stage? On her own hardware? No, she figured, that wouldn't be very wise. And tapping would require her to lower her fingers before she started.
So it couldn't be tapping - but what else? Earth physics were still strange enough to her, but she had grasped the concept of sound ages ago. It didn't just come from the air, like Shey apparently expected it to - something had to happen to make the sound.
Or maybe - and this was the reason that probably unsettled her, though it was unnatural for her to feel unsettled - perhaps Shey could alter the physics of this world and make sound from her fingers. Which, Violet did have admit, sounded outlandish - but then, another being could have the ears of a being far smaller than him. So, in the end, was it really all that strange in this world?
"Yes, please exemplify this concept."

Shey lifted her pointing and middle finger in her right hand slightly, and flattened her left hand with her fingers spread a little bit. Two small light balls the size of a closed fist appeared faintly next to her head.

"I don't know if you know this song at all but uh, here's a bit from it."

With the flattened hand, she began lightly tapping the air which created a sort of loud thumping/clapping noise (which comes from one light ball). In time with that, Shey's lifted fingers on her right hand start tapping as well. They create a voice that doesn't say a specific word, but rather a sound to go along with the beat. 'Mo mo mo mo moah', comes from the other light ball. The bit of the song that Shey seemed to be playing was a parody of 'Ghosts', by Mystery Skulls.

Shey stopped after a few seconds. "That was an example of a beat, but there are still plenty of other kinds out there. That was just a particularly 'obvious' or 'loud' one."

Vi watched in rapt curiosity as Shey raised her index and middle fingers over her flattened left palm. Almost immediately, two little balls of light made themselves apparent (though faintly) next to her head, and as Vi analyzed the situation closer, she could only come to one conclusion - she was manipulating the frequency within the air. Quite an advanced skill for a human AI - they might have called it "magic". It very well could have been - to Vi, it was amazing. Still unable to summon the speech scripts from her memory at that moment, she only nodded, an intense look of curiosity on her face. What tech was this!?

If the lights had amazed Vi, it was certainly overshadowed by the sound coming from seemingly nowhere but her palms, evident by the look of sheer wonder on Vi's face. Strange enough... it wasn't voluntary - reflex, perhaps? It didn't matter, not right now - she was being confronted by a new piece of information. Shey herself did not sing, not physically - but words had been uttered, again seemingly from her palm.

"You have a useful gift," she mused aloud, looking impressed. "The concept is now very clear. Thank you."

Shey noticed immediately the look on VI's face. One of..awe? Wonder? Oh boy here comes the blush on She's face.

"U-uh yeah, I suppose it is a useful gift. I just want to uh, make people happy."

Shey wasn't sure how to respond after that. She really had to set up for her performance though. People were starting to gather at the stage in the park, wanting to, Shey assumed, to see her. She decided that maybe she can invite Vi.

"Do you uhm...want to watch my concert thing? There's going to be a sort of large crowd so I'm not sure how you are with people. But uh, yeah...I have to go perform in a few minutes."

Damn she was nervous.

((Sorry if this looks weird, I wrote it on my phone lol))

Finally, something in the human's behavior that made sense to Violet's processing systems - a want. "The same is true for myself," she told Shey matter-of factly, as the purple robot sat abruptly on the ground, a thunk of metal on ground.
"Your face is of an odd coloring - it is reddening." Violet pointed out, looking impassive.
It was then that she sensed the other beings in the park moving forwards, gathering around the primitive stage to watch the human perform. Vi stopped for a second. Did the human say she could listen to her auditory performance? If so, then she would be honored to - communicated via a big, sort of weird nod of the robot's head. "Yes, I would like very much to witness an auditory performance. "

Shey stood for a moment before trying to look anywhere but at Vi. "I'm not...reddening what are you talking about what-noooooo?"

She sighed a bit before looking at the stage. A lot of people were definitely gathering, and she could almost feel the excitement in the air. To be honest, she was surprised they haven't seen her yet.
Suddenly she realized that Vi said something. She wanted to watch her performance?? Really?

"R-really? You do? I'm glad! I uh, hope you enjoy it. I was only able to reserve the park stage for a little bit, so I'm only able to do one orchestral song...I hope you're alright with that."

Shey smiled at Vi for a moment before gathering up her things. Luckily the instruments were already in their little cases so all she had to do was pick them up. Today she had brought a violin, a flute, a trumpet...and a ocarina. Cause why not.

Vi, upon taking in the act and deciphering its meaning from her databases, finally giggled at Shey, a hand placed in front of her mouth. "You are incorrect - your face is indeed taking on a red color." She believed this is what was called "blushing"... Yes, she was almost certain. But the cause? Indeterminate. She had seen some humans execute "blush" emotion in response to a compliment.... Perhaps it was the compliment?

Whatever the matter, it was evident that the people around the stage were starting to get impatient, as they waited for the apparently-scheduled concert. Violet wondered why they hadn't yet seen Shey. Was she only visible to a certain number of beings?

She was questioning things much too frequently. Nodding her head, she replied with a demure "That is adequate, yes. I will enjoy this performance." She glanced at the instruments on the ground, then back to Shey, a smile spreading across her metallic features. "Be in the possession of good luck! Do not break your leg appendages, as that would cause pain."

Shey laughed at both responses that Vi had given. Her face was still red, but she was also still in denial of it at the time. She decided not to mention it.

"Y-yeah! I'll try not to break any legs haha. Well, I'm going to head to the backstage. If you want, you can have a seat in the front. The front row is always completely open for people that I know, so nobody sits there."

She gave a small smile before she readjusted her instrument's straps on her shoulders. Shey began to turn away, but thought of a question to ask first.

"Do you perhaps...have any genre or style requests?"

"Not at this point in time," replied Violet. "Suggestions currently unavailable, for I do not know of much music in this world. Conversely, I shall do as you asked, and perform the 'sit' action in the first row of chairs." Violet noticed many things - for instance, though the human denied it, her face still sported a shade of red attributed to a "blush", and the stutter in her voice indicated shyness.
Oh well. At least she promised she would not break either of her "leg".appendages. It was probably better for her software.

@LunariaSong

Might this be the jumping-off point for Shey and Vi's friendship, and end the thread here? Also, I'm really sorry for the late ^^""

Shey giggled slightly at that. "Alright, if you insist. But I will try and choose a song that plays and fits you at least a little."

She looked up at the stage and faintly heard people chanting for her name. Only a few were really, but the crowd was still large enough to make Shey a little nervous. Nothing she can't deal with though since she's used to it.

"Alright. I better get going or the organizer who reserved this spot will have my head for being late. Remember if you want to watch, take a seat in the front row if you'd like. Always open."

Shey smiled once more before turning around with all of her instruments strapped to her shoulders. Though they were heavy, she was easily able to get up behind the stage and place them behind the curtains she put up a while ago.
