The android walked once again down the sidewalks of the large green area, known by humans as the park. Strange thing, really. Why dedicate such a large area of green fertile grass and call it a park? It was quite puzzling - but she digressed. Violet could not disrespect the humans' work, for it was somewhat aesthetically pleasing. And, her AI reasoned, perhaps this is a venue for performers to perform in, much like arenas back on....
The memory had not been deleted, as she'd intended. The memory of her home planet Andrormedes... It resurfaced, giving her a detailed view of the grand stages she used to perform on, for masses of cold, dead androids who only had a critical eye of her performances -
"Deleting memory.... Error. Memory cannot be deleted."
She closed the memory and focused her ocular lenses on the real park in front of her. Which, coincidentally, also had a stage (though admittedly tiny and borderline primitive) for performers.
And, to her surprise, there was a young being of what appeared to be the human race. A feminine specimen, much like herself. And so, following her programming, she exclaimed in a cute, happy tone.
"Hello, being! Please state your name."

Shey jumped a little bit at the sudden greeting. She turned around and stared at the person who greeted her with confusion and surprise, especially since they greeted her in an odd way. 'Hello, being!'? Eh, whatever. Shey wasn't one to discriminate on people's different ways of talking.

"O-oh uh, hello! My name is Seycara Celeste, but most people call me Shey. What's your name?"

Whenever Shey asks a question about something she is curious about (or just when she's curious in general), she tilts her head slightly. She doesn't know why she does that but it just happens. Shey tilted her head just then when she asked for the new person's name. The person seemed to be human, but she really couldn't be sure since there were so many different kinds of amazing people around here. You never know who you meet in the academy.

"Name logged."
The robot girl, with an audible mechanical whirr and a click, nodded, the movement surprisingly smooth. Almost human. As was the sly smirk she displayed as she verified the verity of said name. She knew it to be true, but - she couldn't help herself.
"Hello, My name is Seycara Celeste, but most people call me Shey. Is this correct as .beingname?"
She just hoped this human was not of a higher rank than she, otherwise Violet would be in grave danger in terms of being rushed by scrappers -
This was not Andromedes. She had left a long time ago.
And either way, humans were much better, more advanced in terms of their empathy.prog files and their execution. The biological androids of Earth even had such a... an almost "cute" set of glitches that would resurface - like the tilting of the being's head just now, out of curiosity. IT must not have been coded into their minds, but rather through their culture, that they developed these mental system glitches. It was almost cute, in the way a furry being (her mind flitted back to EdwardCatForm.friendbeing) might be considered cute. She grinned mischievously.

Ooooooohoho one of those funny characters is she? Well, let's roll with it for a second shall we?

"Hehe...Yes, that is my name. My name is indeed 'Hello, my name is Seycara Celeste, but most people call me Shey."

Shey has already turned her head upright again, and smirked as well. Her 'going-along-with-the-joke' points aren't usually that good but hey. She tries.

"I'm a music artist, and I'm here to make a practice performance for some people gathered here. As such, I'm a bit busy but I can spare some time to talk. I have a few minutes left before the scheduled time anyways." Shey winked.
"Before we do continue talking though, is it alright if I attempt to ask for your name again?"

....Aaaand there goes the tilt of the head, but to the other side this time.

"Logged and saved. Greetings. I am a Voice Interaction Operation System, of the E, Series, hereafter known as VIOS-E. However, due to being on Earth, I have chosen the alias Violet, alternatively Vi."
It was true it was a mouthful, but the words slid easily, fluidly - though not through her mouth. Not directly, anyway - it was being filtered by the precise, round holes that dotted her neck area. And there was something odd about the voice too - it felt too synthesized to be human.
Another head tilt - and that was also very human.
"Indeed. Is that your prime directive, My name is Seycara Celeste, but most people call me Shey?"

Oooooh so that's who she is. An android!

Shey thought to herself as Vi explained that she was a Voice Interaction...Operation System?
She absolutely loved androids! In the past she has become friends with many of them, all of which were fans of sound and music in one way or another. Shey has lost contact with them since her graduation from the academy, but she is glad to see a new face around that could possibly be a fellow sound/music lover....maybe. For all she knew Vi could hate music.

"Hello Vi! It is nice to meet you. How about you just call me 'Shey' instead? That uh, nickname you called me is quite the mouthful."
She giggled a bit at that.

"As for the prime directive bit, I suppoooose you could say that music is my uh...purpose? I mean, it's more my job than it is my 'purpose' or 'prime directive'. It's also just something I love doing, so I guess it can be called a hobby too. To be honest though, most humans like me don't know our main purpose in life. I just do this for fun, so I don't know if it's my reason for being here."

Shey suddenly felt like she went off the deep end a bit there. Maybe she misunderstood Vi, and she meant something else. Damn she talks a lot...

"Very well," she nodded, mimicking Shey's movements. Again, it almost seemed natural, save for the mechanical whirring that made it clear it wasn't natural. "I will refer to you as Shey.friendbeing. Is this alright?"
Not waiting for a reply, Violet strolled over to the musical equipment, examining the strange stringed instruments and other peculiar devices while taking in the data from Shey. According to the Shey.being, humans did not, in fact, have an ordered AI (oh, it would nice to not have to follow directives!) but instead found their own directives from environmental cues. Oh, do not misunderstand her - she knew completely the reasoning for a jobs and such, but even after repeated exposure to humans, she still could not understand why they had hobbies, or missing directives.... Humans were strange biological androids.
At least they were kinder than Andromedan androids' systems.
"Music must be satisfying to your AI," Violet mused aloud, tapping the strange devices. "Would it be safe to assume you enjoy the sensation of soundwaves actcating audio recorders inside your brain?"

As Vi looked around at her music equipment, she giggled at the thought of this funny android calling her Shey'.friendbeing'. She was glad that Vi considered her a friend.

"Uh, yeah! Music is satisfying yes. Depends on the genre of music to be honest. For me, soft/epic beats and soft sounds usually get me going. I like a lot of different music though."

Shey thought for a moment before she answered Vi's question about...audio recorders in her brain. That was a bit confusing to think about. "I uh, do enjoy the sensation of soundwaves, but I don't think there are these 'audio recorders' in my brain you are talking about. I remember sounds and music but it takes a lot of practice."

She said that as she was staring at the music instruments. Shey had a weird way of practicing for her performances, but it's just how her family (and herself) practiced. She rather liked it to be honest. It made her feel at least a little normal.

"Do you...like music?"

Oh.
Vi paused, adding and logging this new data on Shey.friendbeing. According to her, her preferred music seemed to be "soft/epic beats" - but what, exactly, was an "epic beat"? Was it like the sound of a heartbeat, audibly soft? Or was it loud but gentle, a fading beat? How long was it?
She could feel her servos shifting into EntertainementProg.exe. She wanted to entertain, to please.
And then she reminded herself, she no longer needed to follow her prime directive. She was a "free" android, an enemy of her planet. Free to do what she wanted here on Earth. And as such she had no obligation to ask -
Shey's own voice rang though the android's speakers as Violet asked her, "What is an "epic beat", Shey.friendbeing?"

Shey thought about that for a minute.
"Well, an 'epic' beat could be anything from a strong drum beat along with a soft undertone or even a soft banging followed by loud themes. A lot of people use that as a label for some songs, a genre if you will. It doesn't have to be an opinion word-", she stopped herself.

"Ahem, sorry. Should I uh, give an example..?"

She lifted up her hands slightly, preparing for a small beat. She didn't want it to be too loud since the people at the park right now were still relaxing and enjoying themselves for now. Shey also didn't want to accidentally bring a crowd..
