Iesha curled into her bed, her tail wrapping up snugly in her bed. Miss Narraine wasn't home yet... too busy with things. What things they were she wasn't all to sure but its been becoming more difficult to talk to her recently. But... while she didn't have Miss Naraine to speak to... she did have someone else to converse with. And it was better that Narraine wasn't here at the moment to eavesdrop as she did want to hurt the one whom was like mother to her. But she needed to have this conversation and if Miss Narraine doesn't want to talk about it then she was going to confide to her best friend.

So she closes her eyes, her toughts transfixed on the image of her best friend Dalia. She claps her hands together and slowed her breathing as if she lost in mediation... or prayer.

"Dalia... are you there? Is now a good time to talk? I hope I am not disturbing you." thought Iesha, trying to establish that telepathic link to Dalia. It was... a strange sensation. To talk converse with a be conversing with a god but at the same time a friend.

Dalia lay in her web hammock, staring up at the ceiling. She was trying to drift off to sleep. There was too much going on lately, but things were... winding down. Finally.

Her eyes snapped open when she felt the familiar buzz of someone speaking to her. Iesha's voice. She adjusted the position of her arms so that she was better stabilized and shut her eyes again to respond.

Iesha, hey! No no, it's cool. What's up, girl?

Iesha couldn't help but smile with delight upon hearing her friend's voice. Part of her worried that she may have been asleep but it was nice to know that it was not the case.

"Oh well... remember how you said that I can always talk to you about things? Well... its about Miss Naraine. She has been really busy as of late and... well... I am... worried that she might not be able to take care of me anymore." Explained Iesha telepathically.

Dalia inhaled sharply, glad that Iesha couldn't hear that.

That... really sucks. Are you sure? I mean... my mom is busy a lot, but she's still there.

No. Iesha was skittish and kind of nervous, but she didn't seem paranoid or anything like that. Dalia continued.

What do you think is gonna happen?

Was she she sure? She didn't want to insinuate things but... she has been quietly overhearing Narraine when she she thought that she was in private, talking to her sisters about various hardships and how she worried that they may not have place to stay for much longer. Even asking her sisters about whom she should have watching over her if things did become that dire. No... she was pretty sure.

"Well... I heard Miss Narraine talking to one of her sisters. Asking about if they could take care of me if something was to happen to her. Even mentioning that if worst comes to worst I would... go back to living at the school. I know it pained her to say it but... I think she is seriously considering it. And... and that scares me. I don't know how to talk to her about it."

Oh. Dalia unintentionally sent a telepathic twinge of worry to Iesha, but wuickly pulled back.

That... really sucks. I mean. If you want, if it comes down to it. You could always live her with me? I don't think Mom would mind. We've got the space, ever since... Pandora and Phaedra left.

Dalia felt a wave of sadness and weariness fall over her when she thought about her sister and mother. She squeezed her hands tight together to keep from passing those feelings on to Iesha.

"That... thats very kind of you offer but I... I really don't want to be a burden on your family. But... it it comes down to it I will keep your household in mind. I'll mention it to Miss Narraine... if she ever decides to ever want to talk about it with me."

It... didn't seem far. It felt like her world was going to fall apart on her again and but she couldn't understand why? If they do lose the apartment then can't she go with wherever Narraine is going? She didn't want to be alone again. Iesha, unawarely, would pass on feelings of distress to her friend Dalia as she tried to understand her situation.

"I'm sorry... I am sure she has her reasons but I just... don't understand. Do you think there is something that I can do?"

I don't know.
Dalia couldn't help but be honest about that. She sighed and rolled out of her hammock to drop onto the floor. She paced back and forth, scrubbing her face to wake herself up.

What about, uh... she couldn't think of anything immediately off the top of her head. Oh. What about talking to Roldan? I mean... I dunno if that would be weird, since he and miss Narraine were. Uh. I dunno, but whatever happens, I'll be there for you. Whatever you need, anytime you need it.

"Roldan? I... I don't know. It is awkward and... I think them breaking up was the start of this now that I... think about it. Narraine says she is one good terms with Roldan but it just couldn't work out? Cultural differences I think was the words she used? But... I do like Roldan. He's been nice to me...maybe I will ask him. If I see him."

Iesha lets out a sigh, then straightens her posture.

"Thanks for being here for me. I don't like to be bother to people with my troubles... especially my friends. I afraid that I will just... as much as I depend on you guys I will just... fail you as friend."

Pfft, Dalia let her little snort of amusement find it's way through the psychic link she had with Iesha.
You can't fail me. Iesha I... I've been really sad since Phaedra left. I know I don't show it really, but that's just. I can't. If I'm sad that she's gone, then... I dunno. She wins? It's hard to describe. I have a lot of weird, mixed up feelings.

Dalia sighed and leaned on her window, staring out at the city. She hadn't talked about any of this to anyone, not even her mom. Though she was pretty certain Mal had an idea, at least.

You're one of my best friends, Iesha. My first friend, really. If you lean on me and I lean on you and we both lean on Monster Squad, we can do anything.
