Nia had experienced another vision last night. Makara had been very helpful in being with her through the whole ordeal. She was glad that he was dead and didn't sleep so she never had to feel bad about disturbing him when a vision hit. At this point she didn't even scream anymore. Just curled up in a ball on his lap until everything was over.
Nia's vision was the usual and she didn't want to talk about it. She didn't know how to talk about it. Occasionally she had seen things that related to Manta Carlos but...overall her visions just left her feeling scared and confused and overwhelmed.
She lay in her bed, having just finished a bowl of soup that Makara had made for her when she heard a bit of commotion outside her door. Nia's room was a single next to a double. A double that remained unfilled for her time at the Academy.
She felt a rock drop in her stomach and she knew something was about to happen.
Her anxiety spiked as more noises abounded. It sounded like people talking and things being moved in...she didn't move from her bed for a solid hour until pretty much all of the sounds had died down. She didn't know what to do. She was scared. Her arms were shaking slightly and her breathing had been off this whole time. If she hadn't just had a vision last night she would have broken her bracelet and Makara would have appeared to help her through everything. But she had used her bracelet and wouldn't be getting a new one for a couple days.
Guess she had to do the brave thing. After another ten minutes of pep talk, Nia finally got herself out of the bed and moving towards the door. She opened the door and peered into the hall.
She could see the door for the other room across the hall from her. It was open. She could see some bags and boxes and things...things that someone owned. That was what that noise was! Someone was moving in! She looked around trying to spot her new hallmate or roommate but she didn't see anyone initially. She stepped further out of her room and called out in her small, timid, childlike voice.
"H-hello?"
