Species: ½ Nymph, ½ Unicorn
Sexuality: Pansexual Panromantic Polyamorous
Religion: General Animism
Category: Student
Class: College Year 1
Major: Undeclaired (considering botony, fashion, biology, and "something responsible")
Appearance:

- 5’11”, still growing
- Thin, effeminate build; toned and such, but has a his muscles are subtle and lean, and he has a soft curve to his hips. Belly is flat and rear is round, and though his cheekbones are high, his angles are generally gentle and nearly girlish. Light, feminine lips; large, rounded eyes; long lashes; sharp chin; heart-shaped face; rosy cheeks; naturally sparse body hair; small, cute nose
- Big stickler for personal hygiene and always, always keeps his teeth brushed (and whitened), his nails filed and his face clean. Hair may be messy, but that’s because it's his style, and he usually smells like a big field of wildflowers
- Pale, but not starkly white skin tone. Eyes are primarily pink, but with splotches of baby blue, violet, soft green and even a few orange flecks.
- Natural hair color is white, but he has dyed streaks of pale pastel colors into it, mainly blue and pink with a few flashes of very subtle violet
- Generally prefers to dress in white, grayscale, black and various pastel shades. His attire is uniquely that of a pastel goth, or soft grunge. The style usually leans more towards the pastel side of things than the gothic, but it depends on the day. Style really falls into three main categories: gothic, punk and romantic. He likes spiked bracelets, skull accessories, dark eyeliner and flower crowns.
- Clothing fabrics are usually soft and soothing, and he usually has both loose, flowy garments and tighter, more form-fitting ones on at any given time. Also is no stranger to feminine clothes and can really rock a skirt outfit when he feels like it.
Personality:
- Magnetic
- Bright-feeling
- Very self-confident
- Self-confidence can easily grow into arrogance and even disdain for others, and Sage must monitor himself closely to avoid being narcissistic
- Independent in the sense that he seems solid, self-assured and able to take care of himself, though he is a very social creature
- Generally vibrant and colorful-seeming
- Pretty, knows he’s pretty and enjoys being such. Self-dubbed nickname is Pastel Princess\
- Something of an attention whore and really doesn’t mind this, so long as people are looking at him
- Even thrives off negative attention, though he much prefers praise and affection
- Please love him. He’s very affectionate and surprisingly thoughtful, and he really just wants to cuddle okay
- Flirty and very polyamorous, is a bit of a tease and embraces this fully
- Despite flirty, tease-esque mannerisms, openly declares that he is waiting until marriage to do the do
- Has a rather (Not-So-Very-)Innocent demeanor, coming across as cute and such but often backing himself up with poorly disguised innuendos and the like
- Generally maintains good humor and is pretty chill with things
- Dances with punches, rather than just rolling with them
- Also dances in general, but he’s...not great at it
- Active, but gets primary exercise from yoga, frolicking through the flowers and instructional dance videos — it’s why he thinks he’s a good dancer
- Can execute a rehearsed dance flawlessly, but is positively hopeless when it comes to freestyle. Doesn’t let that stop him
- Despite carefree disposition, is very quick to anger when anyone attacks (verbally or physically) his precious people, even if those he loves are the ones in the wrong
- Can be blindsided by his opinions of people, disregarding the positive characteristics of his enemies or the negatives of his loved ones
- Prone to having a very nasty tongue when he wishes, and when he is fully pissed off, often has no verbal restraints
- Outgoing
- Energetic and generally enthusiastic to some degree, seems to have a certain particular lust for life that is absent from many
- May come across as incessant and annoying at times.
- Once he's preaching about an issue, he doesn't really like to drop it. May rant and rave at people for far too long, doesn't drop conversations, and may actually follow people in order to continue speaking if they leave
- Same way when he wants something. Unless he knows the situation requires specific tact, may be fairly relentless until he gets an answer he likes. Dislikes the word "no" and often assumes it doesn't apply to him — must be checked back before he recognizes his boundaries
- Outspoken and doesn’t feel the need to keep his views to himself. Is open about his thoughts and opinions and, while he’s alright with hearing the other side of things, generally stays pretty solid in his ideology
- One major life policy - “Fake it ‘til you make it.” Used this for confidence and did, in fact, make it.
- Momma’s boy at heart, though he adores his dad as well. Dedicated to them both.
- Very loving son, and is very gentle and patient with his parents. Very respectful to them
- Responds in a similar fashion to other authority figures he comes to hold a unique respect for
- Maintains very good grades and is a quick, active thinker. Intelligent, and his mind is always whirring away at something
- Keeps his brains on the low-down, though. Isn’t haughty with it and isn’t interested in showing off, either — at least with his intelligence
- Not that he doesn’t value his intelligent, but he feels icky if he shows it off like that. Prefers just being peppy and pretty and gaining attention that way
- Has a lot of internal tension and conflict due to his wishes, demeanor and past
- Really wants to be responsible, but is defiant and eccentric by nature
- Despite wanting to help others, can often act quite selfish and self-serving
- Major Conflict: “Don’t change for anyone, but become better for your parents
- Major Conflict: “Never, ever hold yourself back or deny yourself for anything, but be the perfect son and make it up to your parents.”
- Other ways to explain: “Do what you want, when you want, and for why you want — be free, be yourself, but be quiet, smart, responsible, and materialistically successful in life.”
- True disposition almost always wins out, his nymph blood making him lively, flighty and free-flying, but it creates a lot of guilt and shame in Sage
- This conflict is generally internal. Sage dislikes showing weaknesses in himself, having pride in appearing strong and solid, and thus wages the war between who he is and who he wants to be alone. He's emotional and instinctive in his actions, his personality almost always taking over and hiding his conflict on the surface, but he has rare moments of insecurity and insight into his self-conflict.
- Has a very mish-mashed view of the world, darting between optimism and pessimism like it’s natural. Has dark views of the world, but strong highlights. Relates his policies to dramatic nose contour — the highlights are the focal point, but they’re backed by dark shadows.
- Inner conflicts are an all-around mess of contradictions, ones that are constantly battling for control. They've all got a strong grasp on Sage, and he often finds himself pulled in several directions at once. It has gotten to the point that Sage doesn't know what he himself wants anymore.
- On one hand, he believes at the core of things that everything in the world is pointless — well, perhaps not pointless, per se, but temporary. He feels that one day, everything - even the memories - will be swallowed by the universe, and that in the grand scheme of things, he and everyone he loves is completely insignificant. Nothing really matters.
- This would be incredible discouraging to many, but Sage handles this notion with the exact opposite reaction. The idea that everything is temporary fills Sage with a unique lust for life and all of its happenings. He wants to explore, experiment and create as much as possible before his time runs out and he is engulfed by nothing. The fact that everything is in a constant state of ending is so liberating that Sage could sing, because it means he could do anything and, in the longterm future, it would likely turn out right. He wants to live - freely - and be himself, because every chance is his last, and every moment is his.
- However, Sage is by nature someone who lives in the moment. He is impulsive, restless, and easily pained when his few sensitive subjects are prodded. He knows in his heart that nothing he does now will ever truly matter, but he is obsessed with pleasure, with love, and with the emotions of both himself and his loved ones. Sage can't stand to see his precious people hurting, and even though he knows their conflicts don't matter to the universe, they matter to him. Sage wants to fix things and make people happy for whatever time they have left, even at the cost of his own happiness.
- Sage's most important people are his parents, and in his mind, he has done nothing but cause them grief and tension. He wants to fix what he's created, and the only way he knows how to do this is by stifling who he is and becoming the perfect son. He want to be responsible, dependible and successful, a person who can eventually support his family and give them the good life. Sage wants to be golden. He wants to be perfect, and the problem is that he just isn't.
- Sage's idea of perfection is so different from his real personality that it's not a switch he can flip. He would have to change his outward presentation so drastically that he would be losing major parts of himself, and the freedom-loving, pleasure-envoking, open and outgoing hybrid can't find the - what he refers to as - strength to make the change. He doesn't want to have to be quiet and respectable. He doesn't want to give himself away, and on the surface, in public, this side of him is what wins out. However, there will always be that conflict deep down within him, the one that tells him to stop talking, to study, to get a better job. It's the voice that keeps him drowning in school work and flailing in his extracurriculars, despite being so far from home. It's the voice that tells him he just isn't good enough yet, no matter how vast his ocean of self-confidence is, or how much he has accomplished. It's the voice that expects unexpectably great things from Sage, and its the voice that Sage will never live up too. He's too against erasing himself in order to become his image of perfection, but that's not enough to quiet the voice in his head.
…
- Favorite book is We Are the Ants by Shaun David Hutchinson. Realistic and feels it to correspond closely with his ideals about the universe, and has served to give him some hope that, despite nothing mattering, he can still make the most of it. His favorite quote is the last line of the book — “The universe may forget us, but that doesn’t matter. Because we are the ants, and we will keep marching on.” Sage has thought about the idea of having that button to save the world, and like the protagonist, he doesn’t know if he would.
- Sage’s favorite band is Twenty One Pilots. He is a super fan. He owns an entire collection of merchandise, all of their songs (included recorded live performances) and possibly a shrine — there is public speculation but no confirmation as of yet. Sage hardcore ships the two band members and has planned their future wedding. He also self-identifies with all of their songs. Please do not disrespect his band. He will fight to the spiritual death.
- Favorite color is pink; favorite foods are watermelon, fresh arancini, stuffed mushrooms, and anything Italian and/or homemade
- Has a problem with hoarding shiny things. His dorm is full of shiny, sometimes worthless trinkets that he has collected throughout the years. Other collectibles include plushies, colorful (often pastel and/or nature oriented) artwork (as well as notebooks, pencils….anything and everything that can be patterned), fluffy socks, books, sparkly pens, pretty rocks, bobble heads, perfumes/lotions, various assorted accessories and generally useless knick knacks.
- Talents include juggling, jewelry making, sewing, flower arranging, color-coordinating, photography and poetry. Can also act, and is a bit of a drama geek.
- Very outspoken for environmental activism and is adamant about protecting the earth. Littering is a crime kids, don’t do it. Also has a deep infatuation with nature, especially flowers.
Powers:
As a nymph, Sage possesses a very close relationship with nature, but it isn’t just in spirit and religion. Sage has the ability to not only revitalize existing people, animals and plants, but to create new flora if he so wishes. When it comes to revitalization, Sage can heal fatigue in people, heal tiredness and mild sickness in animals, and revive a plant from the edge of complete death. Reviving a tree takes more time as well as nearly all of Sage’s energy, but a single flower takes only seconds and almost no effort whatsoever. Revitalizing animals takes considerable concentration, and humans are very hard and very tiring. For the latter, it would feel almost as though Sage is filling their energy with his own at a 1:1 ratio. Finally, Sage is able to create his own plants. At maximum he can create a small tree, and this takes much effort. Flowers are very easy and can be created in bulk, but overall, creating plants is more difficult and tiring than healing them.
As a unicorn, Sage is able to purify many things. His only current ability, however, is with water. To purify water for drinking, Sage must make physical contact with it. In general, Sage is completely resistant to poison within his body. This power has room for expansion.
Healing (UNTRAINED)
Species Traits:
As both a unicorn and a nymph, Sage was blessed with seemingly-eternal youth and considerable longevity. Because of the species crossovers, his actual lifespan is unknown, but it may be several centuries. Sage's aging will also be slowed considerably upon the age of 20-25. He will continue to age, but very, very slowly, and will likely not look much past a well-aged 50 upon his death.
Sage is untrained and is thus unable to use his magic to access his other potential forms, the fae and the unicorn. However, he has figured out a few minimal things. For example, when he wishes, Sage can summon a pair of large fairy wings, whitish-clear with a few pastel-type areas, from his back. It should be noted that the wings do not, somehow, ruin his clothes. He can also create himself a small white horn and a tail - the lion sort - without too much effort. The horn and tail have no real use other than aesthetic preference, though Sage can sustain flight on his wings.
Hunger:
Unicorns are horses, and everyone knows that horses graze. In order to maintain his high metabolism, energetic personality and generalized horse physiology, Sage must also “graze” throughout the day. Just to clarify, grazing entails real food, rather than grass itself. However, Sage has still been known to have odd cravings for nontraditional food items... such as clovers. And dandelions.
Thirst and Sunlight:
These, meanwhile, are from Sage’s nymph heritage. Nymphs work closely with nature and share many of its needs. As such, Sage must have sunlight to survive, and needs at least a few hours a day outdoors in order to feel healthy. He can survive without sunlight, but he would be sickly and quite frail. Thirst, also, is another factor. Sage gets thirstier than many other types of creatures, and it is a good idea for him to keep a water bottle close by. He grows dehydrated easily.

Fire
Fire is a weakness that both of his parents experienced, and so Sage is definitely subject to it. He burns easily, whether it be by sun or flames, and experiences double the usual pain.
Temperature Extremes:
Meanwhile, temperature weakness is mainly a nymph aspect. Sage grows ill-feeling and lethargic in particularly hot or cold climates and may even appear to “wither.” He likes a cool breeze in the summer and a fireplace (with a gate!) when it’s snowing.

History:
Warning: Underage drinking/drug use, homophobia/transphobia, underage kidnap and near-rape.
Birth:
Mother: Nymph
Father: Unicorn
Fell in love on Manta Carlos. Parental disdain from father’s family. Eloped to California, USA. Mother became pregnant, did not particularly want Sage. Fell in familial love with a newborn baby at the hospital. Switched the babies in a real “switched at birth” scenario. Mother and Father moved to Hawaii. It was all pretty weird.
Ages 0-4:
New Mother: Lillian
New Father: Derek
New family was poor. Named him Solomon Sage Sinclair, was only child. Traditional values, but made exceptions for son. Loved Sage. Wanted him to be great and pushed him for it. Did not want him to follow in their footsteps. Started Sage in school a year early.
Early Schooling:
Learned early that he was difference. Other boys liked trucks and sports; Sage liked My Little Ponies and fashion. Decided he liked to be pretty, he liked to wear skirts, and he liked the looks on the faces of the people who didn’t agree. Parents originally attempted to ward Sage away from his feminine habits, but eventually gave in after extended pleading and bargaining. Sage maintained very high grades, very painted nails, and a very confident attitude towards the barrage of bully-given insults. Boys thought he was too girly, girls thought he was just strange. Outcast, but still had socially magnetic aura, conflicting values manifested in the way of bullying. Was different, and different was normal, and abnormal was bad; slurs common and such. School was a special kind of hell. Learned to fake confidence until it became real —- “Fake it til you make it” and “Never hold back” became life mottos.
Summer of 8th Grade:
Officially came out to parents as pansexual, polyamorous and somewhat genderfluid during summer before the year started. Had been expecting and braced for a terrible reception, or at least a big event, but was only reassured and accepted. Was shocked, despite general confidence in self, but apparently parents had always sort of known (especially in recent years). Never loved parents more than he did on that day and every day after, but negative areas existed. Parents had been his only supporters his whole life, and even after all the grief he had caused them, they were still so loving. Wasn’t quite the beginning of his affair with guilt, but it was the first time he acknowledged it like that
Beginning of 8th Grade:
Came out to entire school on first day of eighth grade. Marched up on stage during welcome assembly, requested microphone, and blurted announcements to entire school. Entered into a lengthy speech about self-esteem, gender roles and gender identity, and eventually had to be carried off stage by school security guard. Managed most of speech. Parents were more amused than upset.
8th - 9th Grades:
Mixture of Sage’s speech (in his mind), rising media focus and self-awareness of almost-but-not-quite high school, but students began to be more accepting of everything around this time. More students began coming out with alternate sexualities and identities. Seen as… less important, and people began to see Sage past his defining statements and more for his actual personality, which quite endeared them. Became an active voice for the students, personality grew vibrant and solidified, and Sage became popular. Grades stayed strong and he was at the high end of his class.
Academic and Extracurricular Notables:
10th - 12th Grade:
Guilt only continued. Wanted to be the best for his parents, but lifestyle was suffocating. Hardly slept, ate, or even breathed, but did best to appear downright jovial. President was supposed to be strong and capable. Son was happy and obedient. Overall, good person in general was productive. Has to fix school problems, make students happy; fix money problems, make parents happy. Wanted to do everything right, but tension got too much. Began to crack. Started small - late to work, forget homework, skip club meetings. Lost job, late junior year. Began getting more Bs than As, then a couple Cs on important assignments. Tried hard, but discovered love for slacking off and ignoring responsibilities. Wanted to let loose, but loved parents more than freedom. Wanted to make them truly proud, not just parental-definition proud. Wanted it so much he sabotaged himself.
Extreme Senioritis:
Partied on the weekends, not just easy ones. Discovered perks of college parties as senior year wore on. Also discovered alcohol and marijuana. Abstained from intercourse and designer drugs, did a lot of everything else, and without enough thought. Stayed out late, worried parents/peers and even got arrested a few times, all during senior year. Wrecked Lillian and Derek, which increased Sage’s guilt, which increased his tension and stress-relief, which just continued the cycle.
The Incident:
Walking home drunk. Came across two little girls. Was very intoxicated and had extremely poor judgement — followed them to see something special, was met with a dark van and strong men. Kidnapped, molested (but not completely taken — they wanted to keep him “pure”) and told of his true heritage. Still does not know who the men were. Was kept for two weeks, and upon police arriving, men said they would soon be back for him despite arrest. Scarred Sage. Refused therapy and would not speak of it. Downplayed it extremely and ignored mentioned until the experience faded. Guilt majorly increased, however, as he realized he wasn’t even Lillian and Derek’s real son. Also began working more with powers, knowing about them now.
Final Months:
Decided he wanted to make it up, really make it up, to his parents. Worked extremely hard for the remainder of senior year, really stepping up to the plate and bettering his performance. It was at the cost of sleep and the like, but he managed without dying. Drank a lot of coffee, stopped the heated parties (hangouts were okay, but he kept them high-school hosted and tame). Tried to help parents as much as he could with lawyers and psychologists, though he didn’t respond at all in therapy sessions. Took on extra shifts after begging for his job back. Finally, graduated with a very high grade and impressive test scores, and had accepted a hefty scholarship to his choice college. However, college was still expensive.
Graduation and Transfer:
Received an invitation to Starlight Academy just after graduation and after careful consideration, consultation with his parents (he finally told them of his powers, but not of his heritage —- they accepted him again, big surprise) and research, Sage abandoned his scholarship. Then moved to Manta Carlos, parents still in California, and prepared to start his college career. Wanted to be successful there, but personality was strong… Away from limitations, discovering freedom, Sage realized he wanted to let loose. Conflicted directly with love of parents, but he was a nymph. Was a fae, was mischievous and wild, and love of freedom was overpowering.

- First Grade: Wore mostly pinks and pastels, current phases were “mine now” and “but please?”
- Second Grade: Regularly brought ‘cute’ toys to school, got his ears pierced with pretty flower studs, big My Little Pony period
- Third Grade: Often used his new birthday present, a huge kiddy makeup kit, and regularly wore flower crowns to school (and everywhere else)
- Fourth Grade: Talked his way into frilly pink skirts and actually met “Barbie” in person for his birthday, wore blonde wigs at times in efforts to be her
- Fifth Grade: Began to self-identify as a “motherfucking mermaid” until told to stop swearing, switched to “pastel princess” instead. Powers awakened as simple green thumb. Would continue to grow throughout the years.
- Sixth Grade: Officially abandoned his first name, Solomon, and began going exclusively by Sage, as it was prettier, softer, and far closer to nature; hallmarked a short pacifistic, artsy, romantic phase
- Seventh Grade: The emo phase, also the environmental activism phase, got really edgy about dandelions

- Clubs outside Council: GSA (Gay-Straight Alliance), Decorating Committee (for dances and events), Key Club (environmental activism, community service, fundraising, etc)
- Jobs: Florist at mother’s shop (before legal age), bookstore clerk (16+)
- Maintained an A-B average at all times
