Liliana passed Elisa a new arrow so she could shoot again, "The normal range for most archers is about thirty yards or so... " she told her. "I was shooting at forty," she grinned, "I am slowing working my way up to fifty yards." she told Elisa.

"So, yeah, you are probably a good fifteen yards too far away to actually hit the target," she informed her with a chuckle. "Sorry, I didn't think you'd be as good as you are," she said as she walked forward to where Elisa should be to start, at the 20 - 25 yard range.

"Am I right in assuming that means you are better than most archers?" She said as she walked to stand next to Lilian again, stringing her arrow.

Instead of firing this time, she held her position and took what could only be described as an absurd amount of time to aim. Meanwhile, she muttered to herself again.

"Maybe," Liliana shrugged and smiled, "I want to be the best, but I know there will always be a better archer than me that's why I keep practicing and pushing limits," she admitted while watching Elisa get ready to take another shot.

"That makes sense. Finding your own boundaries and making new ones." Elisa nodded, focussing on her bow again. SHe didn't expect to pick up the skill so quickly, but that only meant she couldn't mess up this shot. Releasing the arrow, she watched as it came close, but hit at the wrong angle, deflecting off and landing on the ground.

Watching Elisa take another shot, a better shot, but seeing it miss the mark again, hitting but careening to the ground, Liliana frowned somewhat. Technically, it should have hit and entered the target. It didn't have enough force to the shoot.

"Here, try it this way..." Liliana said as she stepped behind Elisa and lifted her shooting arm a bit, making it parallel to her body and handed her one last arrow.

It wasn't as comfortable, but it was definitely straighter. "Does it get easier to hold it like this?" She asked, notching the arrow.

Well, of course, it did, she thought to herself, Liliana had probably been doing this for a while. Elisa had no reason to query about the difficulties of it to what she could call a veteran. Instead, she changed her question. "How often do you practice? I'd love to continue doing this." While she knew it wasn't something she would use often, it seemed like a nice skill.

"It will get easier as your arm gets stronger and used to the position," Liliana replied, knowing it probably wasn't the most comfortable position for someone to hold for very long.

"I practice almost every day, Iove archery... sometimes I use the longbow, others the composite, or the recurve, lately the crossbow, I mix it up a bit since each one has its difficulties," she told Eilsa.

"Sure, it's a great sport, skill to have... did you want to practice with me?" Liliana asked, surprised, but pleasantly so. She didn't have people to shoot with at the moment and thought it might be nice to have somebody to practice with.

Elisa held her position, Keeping her arm where Liliana positioned it, she pulled the string back a bit further before sending it flying.

Compared to the rest, she knew this was better. It just seemed to fly straighter in her mind. It wasn't perfect, but it at least hit the tree at about the same height it left it.

"Are you as good with them as you are this?" She had to ask. Maybe it was a bit selfish, but she kind of wanted to learn to able to beat her.

"Sure, I can practice with you, Can't say I won't be busy some days." Elisa nodded, smiling. "I mean, we both are on the Council, but I might be stuck working on the records."

Liliana nodded at her question, "Yes, I am as good, better perhaps, with the longbow, recurve and especially the crossbow because it is the easiest in a way. it's basically pointing and clicking, the proper amount of tension is there already and it has a scope too..." she told Elisa as she grabbed herself an arrow and created a crossbow construct to show her,

"The composite, which you are using, I just started a few months ago, but I can now shoot at forty paces so I am happy with that... for now," she told her with a wide grin.

Then,

"The council stuff will probably keep us both busy," Liliana admitted as she loaded the crossbow, "Although, I tend to practice whenever I can, so you are more than welcome to join me when you want," she offered her as Lilianna stepped back twenty feet and shot the target with the crossbow hitting it dead centre.

Honestly, she felt a bit disappointed with the answer. Elisa probably wouldn't catch up to Liliana's Skill anytime soon, but as long as she kept trying, she would have a practical ability.

"Well, I think you have my number, but if you need it..." She held up her phone in her opposite hand. "If I'm not here already when you want to practice, can you call me?"

She took a few steps away from the path before Liliana fired, and as the arrow whizzed past, she was glad she did. "Can I keep the bow, or should I give it back?"
