He smiled, but then continued to talk, "So, in that book is basically the journal of all of his memories, and sorrows. It will be a way to relate to him." His eyes looked towards Amelia. "So would you care to do anything after this?" His voice seemed a bit distant to him, a bit foreign.

He changed too much.

She heard the distance in his voice and wondered why. She didn't know exactly how he got Sonlath's journal or was it... "So this is Sonlath's journal?" She asked a bit confused she thought Sonlath wasn't the type who kept journals. She then picked up again on the girls in the back going on how they were sure Valentine would go out with this girl and that girl and how he'd probably become their slave. She was getting really sick of it, she knew she'd have to have a vampire to girls talk as soon as Valentine and her were done for the day. She smelt the girl's order it smelt terrible like perfume and makeup. Amelia definately wouldn't forget it. She her went back to what Valentine was saying.

"Yes, it is. Anything wrong? You seem to be drifting somewhat from the conversation. Eh, whatever. Come on lets go." Valentine just remembered. Great, Valentine, you forgot she hates public places because she can hear everything.Idiot!

His legs touched the floor as he swayed to the side. Getting up himself Valentine advanced towards her and lent her a hand to have him pull her up.

"No... Um... I'm fine...." She said lying, she wasn't fine. These girls were being plain germs, she wanted to lay'em out. She had always thought men were the worse sex, now to see her own kind being jerks she wanted to kill them. She refrained from looking mad she was going to take matters in her own hands later.

She almost blushed when he offered his hand for help. She had never been treated like a lady so this was all new to her. She took his hand lightly she slowly got up, she didn't know what it was like to be treated right. She tried hard not to blush from all of the days events and now him helping her up. She then heard the girl in the back make a comment. "Look at her, she's just beings friends with him for the chance he'd fall for her. Which will never happen, I mean look she's got a whip I bet she has a sword to go with that. Such a stupid girl, guys don't like tough girls. He'd never want to be with her, I bet she's never worn a dress or makeup." the girl's comment fell like a dagger into Amelia's mind. She closed her eyes quickly letting go of his hand, she decided it was best she didn't tell the girl off. She decided this girl wouldn't stop she'd only throw more daggers. But this one dagger did hurt, she felt it was quite possible that the girl was right.

Finally hearing the girl's voices, Valentine stood up, his countenance stoic. "I guess you think that she is not beautiful because she is not a slut such as you all are. I mean, if you have to talk about someone, you must be desperate for a man of your own, otherwise you would either be with him right now or you would be talking about them with each other." He looked at them and the rose broke in mid air. "Now, if you don't leave...you might regret it."

They began to form a broken orb, glass from within the room joining it.

(please tell me if I could hear them)

She was shocked, he did hear it.... She thought it was too low for his ears. She must've been wrong since her hearing brought the tiniest whisper into loud and clear. She was shocked by his reaction too, she didn't know what to say. She was grateful, she never felt so greateful. She was a bit shocked he said that to the girls' faces but she was glad he did.

The girls' reaction was quite huffed they got up and moved towards the girls' dorm door. Stopping right infront of it one of the girls huffily said. "Well.... well.... maybe you do like her." She said quickly darting out the door afraid seeing the glass forming.

Valentine shrugged, "Yea...as a friend." He didn't get it, and was confused. It was about three seconds before that it was an attempted insult. "Oh...no. I met you for what, five hours? Anyways, would you like a hand again?" The eighteen-year-old stretched out his hand, his eyes looking at her. "You don't still think I have those kinds of feelings for you? Do you?"

His mind grew worried. Hopefully she didn't...hopefully they wouldn't break him and Amelia's friendship.

She smiled lightly she got up and hugged him. "No you silly, thank you so much for standing up for me." She hugged him tight for a second and then let go. "You don't know how good it is to know that I have a friend that cares. And even if you did like me, I wouldn't mind unless you became annoying and lovey dovey then I'd sock ya." She said with a laugh...

He smiled and laughed a little. "Really? You would sock me? Whatever." he smiled laughing, pushing her into the couch. Valentine then began to look away. "Well, guess we can go and get some ice cream. My treat, since I lost the bet." Valentine winked slightly. Wow...it is only 9:00pm, and I have been hanging out with her since 4:00. Would have never thought.

She smiled shaking her head lightly... "Your a nut... But sure ice cream sounds good." She said with a smile she liked having Valentine as her friend they had only known each other a bit but it seemed like forever. She never had such a friend, she smiled lightly at his oddness thinking about how kind he was to stand up for her. She never had someone stand up for her, it felt somewhat nice.
