Sobbing... Praying.... Hoping.....

Caitlin ran up the stairs to the tower, tears streaming down her face. She just got the news. First she was unhappy that her father and unloving stepfamily were coming to visit. Now she was sobbing for a different, more serious reason. Her father had been in a car crash. He was on life support and they didn't think he would make it. And her step people didn't care, they would gain the inheritance, the house, the things. They would get me... Caitlin thought miserably. She collapsed to the ground, sobbing. She prayed aloud, begging God to heal her father, hoping He would hear her prayer....

Allie saw Caitlin crying... Allie came over and gave her a tight hug... "Everything will be okay, tell me what's wrong." Allie asked kindly...

Caitlin leaned into her friends arms, crying. "Oh, Allie!" She couldn't talk about it. Not yet.

"Don't worry God will take care of you! Your like my best friend whenever you want to talk or a shoulder to cry on I'm here. I didn't have someone to be my friend when I was having everything go wrong when I was younger. But God was there, and if I had a friend he was it! That's the only reason I'm alive today." She hugged Caitlin tighter...

"If God wants him, he'll take him. But we can always pray that God's will be done. It may or may not be your father's time." Allie said consolingly....

"Ah, step parents! That's the hard part." She sighed... "I know how you feel, if you want you could always live with me and Rayana in the summer. I know you don't exactly like her but, she only likes to scare you that's all. She told me, besides she wouldn't hurt one of my friends if I asked." Allie said hugging Caitlin...

"maybe.. I'll talk to Rayana about it." Caitlin smiled in spite of herself, imaginning the quarrelling that would go on.

"If you want I will, she may listen better to me. And I'll tell you what she said." Allie said knowing that Rayana and Caitlin didn't get along that well....
