"He's dead." He said referring to the non-drunk version of his dad...who he had seen killed...one could only envision what he was thinking and what dreams died when he saw such a thing
Tania hadn't an earthly idea as to what he was talking about. "Who?" She asked. She opened her mouth to say something else, but it had slipped too. Dadgum.
"The only one who cared." He said gritting his teeth. "Now can you please just leave me alone." He asked her again having a feeling she wouldn't...but just how could someone who had lost so much and did so terribly actually have a good life again...
Tania patted him on the head. "I care about you kiddo!" She said. It was true. She didn't want him to kill himself. "So I'm not gunna leave you alone. Okay?"
"You'll get sick of my uselessness soon enough." He said looking away and swatting her hand to leave him be...it was true he was nothing but a peice of space that he found worthless and couldn't even get past a grade school.
"Ow! That hurt!" Tania whacked him back. "You're not useless! You're really smart!!" She was completely genuine. How many normal 7 year olds could take on a fairy?
He felt it and rubbed his head grunting. "What are you saying...Im going to fail out of school next year...and Im not going threw that hell again!" He said actually cursing at her showing just how messed up a 7 year old could be.
Tania's jaw dropped and her lips formed a perfect 'o'. She stared at him for a few moments, then whacked him again. "Little kids can't say stuff like that. And how can you flunk out of a boarding school?"
That only made him feel worse that it was a boarding school...he was just not smart at all...he should have just stayed there over night then go home every night...just be out of everyone's way for the first time...and maybe just maybe people wouldn't talk behind his back...he just looked away fromn her instead of respond.
