He was very temted to say something mean, but he held his tongue. Whatever. He decided to change the subject. 'So...' He started casting around for something to talk about. 'You going to the dance?'

"Dunno. Depends." Amy said. The truth was, she was going, but she didn't want him to ask who she was going with. ((coughdoesnthaveadateyetcoughcough))

'Oh. I'm not going. Dances are useless. They can have good food though, maybe I'll duck in at some point and grab something to eat.' He looked out over the ocean as he said this. Good. She's not going on and on aboutnit. What was I thinking talking to a girl about a dance. I could have been stuck here for hours.

"Dancing isn't really my thing. I can ice skate though. Won a bunch of stuff." Amy said, glad he didn't want to talk about the dance.

'Really. Ice skating. It can't be too hard if you know how to fly can it? I mean, it would make the jumps so much easier.'
He wondered if the girl would get mad or not.

'Ah. I see.' He yawned, and glanced around them once again. 'I hate small talk don't you?'

Jason couldn't think of anything to talk about. No wonder I have so many friends. He thought sarcastically. Sliding off the rock he said, 'Well. I guess I'll be going. Nothing much to do or talk about.' Making his way to the path leading from the beach he contemplaited what he would have for lunch.
