Dalia was oddly calm today. She stretched herself out on the cold ground, minding the soreness of her muscles and fresh bruises. Her training with Mal was making her stronger, more toned. She could feel the muscles in her stomach, something she hadn't been able to do before.
It wasn't just the fighting though. It was the explanations of her dreams, Mal's fractured memories flooding her head when she slept. Most of them were of a world she wouldn't ever see, the world Mal was born on. Of friendships forged in training and combat. Of a thing Dalia knew was called a 'Sun Egg.' And of becoming a god.

Most of her friends were busy today. Even Jax and Phaedra had other things to do. But Dalia hated being alone lately. When she was alone, she went looking for Nasci. Have more talks with the centipede. And the more she understood about Malara, the less she wanted to do that. But being alone, the urge rose. So she had called a less often spoken to friend, in the hopes that he would be free.

Rhymian. Dalia had hated him when she first met him. She thought he was making fun of her spider body, the same way Argenta and the others had. But he was just... quirky. It seemed all gods were in one way or another.

As Dalia waited for Rhymian to show up, she began to warm. It wasn't as hot as when she lit her webs on fire, but it wqs noticeable. She smiled and shut her eyes, basking in the warmth associated with it.

Rhymien couldn't float, but he often seemed like he was. He flopped down next to Dalia, head on his hands and facing her. He was grinning, something she could actually see, unlike most people.

Dalia was a Demi-God. Or something. Rhymien wasn't much on branding, but it had something. It wasn't too much of a shock when she had said his nose was too perfect or his face was too symmetrical.

Most people couldn't see it, the strange sideways slit eyes, the sharp teeth, the lizard-like skin. He wasn't like anything of this world, and people could tell him he looked ugly or unnerving all they wanted. It didn't hurt his feelings.

"DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD"

Dalia felt herself flinch at the sudden, loud yelling of the first letter of her name. But, for once, she wasn't... angry about it. Smiling, the spidering opened up her eyes and.looked over at Rhymien. "Your nose is still too straight," she snickered, less mean and more friendly teasing.

With her eyes open now though, Dalia could see that.her clothes were letting off small wisps of smoke. She sat up and looked at her sleeve, holding it out for Rhymien to see.
"You can see that too, yeah?"

Rhymien grinned, recalling she could actually see the action. There was something about lizard-esque leather skin, sharpened fangs, and weird pinkish-red eyes that made a grin look less friendly and more threatening. Rhy liked to think of himself as one of those uncanny valley types.

When Dalia held her wrist out to him to showcase the smoke that was drifting upward from her clothing, Rhy pretended to fix glasses on his face before grabbing her arm and flipping it over to stare at her wrist as though he were reading something wicked.

The claws on his hand worked a little at her sleeves as he searched to see where the smoke was coming from. "Oh no, spidey, it looks as if your device is malfunctioning!" He said, not bothering to explain the nerd reference if she didn't get it.

"I can see it. But I can see everything. Haven't you heard? I'm amazing."

Dalia reached out and gently bapped Rhymien on his face, laughing a bit. "Spiderman is a poser. And I think you got it reversed. I'm amazing." She laughed, the smoke pouring more freely from her clothes as they continued to warm and melt the nearby snow a bit.

Dalia ended up coughing from her laughter, and she let it die down. She got along with Rhymien because he was basically a kid. Like, he had given her some good advice in the past, but it was always done in a teasing manner. And unlike most people, he didn't just tell her what she wanted to hear. And Dalia oftentimes felt like she needed that more than anything.

"Rhy? Do you think I'm ever gonna figure out what I'm supposed to be? Like. I don't wanna grow up too fast. I already kinda am. But I also don't wanna be old and dying and still be wondering stuff."

Rhy was glad she could see the playful scowl he sent her way when she told him that not only was Spiderman some kind of poser, but that she was amazing and he was not – or so implied.

"Excuse? Is there not enough room for both of us? And it's not Spiderman's fault that he wasn't born with a spider butt. He tries. He tries so hard." Rhymien pretended to wipe away a tear.

Oh, and then time for real talks, he supposed. Rhy didn't like those so much. It felt weird to give them. He tapped his jawline and let his eyes wander to the sky.

"I dunno. I'm still figuring things out all the time, and I've always been around. I think you're gonna have as many questions are you dare to ask. But as for what you are? Who cares? It just depends on who you ask. Heckaroo, I'm not even technically a God, but I still ping as Divine. You are what you are."
