Private Finished Sly like a cat

"Uh huh, sounds like some nerd shit. I'll leave that to you then."

KC drummed her fingers on the table, quickly growing bored of this conversation. She pulled out her phone and checked her messag s before setting it down on her leg to eat more food.

"Not that this isn't riveting, but it definitely isn't my idea of a good time," she admitted, sending another text to Hadley and grinning mischievously at the content before turning off her phone screen again.

"Did you have anything else, or am I just going to have to wait for you to do whatever it is you're doing?"

KC rolled her eyes hard and flicked her tongue out to scoop up a piece of ice, rolling it around against the roof of her mouth before biting down on it hard to crunch between her teeth.

"You've got no imagination up in that pretty head of yours, do you? What do you think I'd consider a good time, hm? Maybe someone's hands around my throat, pinned against a wall somewhere. Or up on a stage, taking turns around a pole. Or maybe just causing problems on purpose to piss people off."

"Wow, you're such an old man. You want some horehound candy to go with your morning coffee and newspaper?" KC snickered and slid down in her seat, planting both of her now bare feet on the seat Neon was sitting on, one on either side of him. "This sounds like it's turning into a date though, and I gotta tell you I don't do dates. If you've got what you need from the drive and you're not gonna try asking Daddy if you can take me home, then I really don't know what we're doing here."

"Like let me be clear: You've already got a strike against you trying to give me a 'believe in yourself' speech after letting me know I was just a carbon copy of someone prettier than me. You aren't getting in my good graces just because you think you might be able to get me what I need without the two hundred fifty thousand dollar investment. Or let me put this in terms you might understand better: you don't have high enough reputation for that dialogue option."

KC rolled her eyes hard, poking Neon in the side with her toes as she considered him. She pulled her phone out, texting away to Hadley again. Her eyes darted between the screen and Neon's face, purring softly as she kneaded the leather seat thoughtfully.

"Sorry," she said after another minute. "Daddy needs me back home. He's got some real hard work for me to do for him, and I can't say no to him." She grinned, leaving the implications of her denial up to the Kitsune's imagination.

"But, I do appreciate the offer for help. You just take a look over those notes and call me when you think you know what you can manage. If you do a good job tuning me up, maybe I'll put in a good word for you with Daddy. In case you do ever wanna take me for a spin."

Getting up out of her seat, KC leaned forward until she was almost bent in half, her cheek pressed up against her knees, She grinned up at Neon, wiggling her eyebrows suggestively before standing back up with a satisfied grunt.
